“I arranged with Sophie to come to my house but she never showed up. She had to come twice but she didn't even bother to leave me a message.Not serious at all.”

“First tutors was recommended to me by a family member who had also used the site so i decided to give it a go at finding a maths tutor for my daughter who is currently studying for her GCSE exams. I found the site very easy to use, no hidden costs, a wide range of local tutors across all subjects. I would definitely use again in the future if the need arose.”

“I really do not know how to rate you any better just for you doing your admin quick. If you have poor tutors that you do not vet in any way , I cannot score you highly. I am getting the feeling that tutors in my price range 30-50 pounds per hour just want to pass the time and have no regard for what the outcome of that time should be. I am so disappointing that I cannot work with any tutors as I expect some preparation from them and some quality for £50 or for any money. Last I paid for a tutor who did not bother getting in touch, when you made him get in touch he was so negative about the progress. Just beyond me , I will need to do it myself . The only option.”

“Very easy site to use and no money paid until you have had the opportunity to message the tutor and can arrange appropriate times, place etc.”

“I found a good tutor through First Tutors, and would use them again. However, they should be clearer about their payment model: you pay to 'release' a tutor's details. The tutor I chose offered a 'free' first lesson to offset the cost of this, but many tutors don't.”

“A very convenient service with an easy access to the tutors profiles. This is my favourite system to find a tutor as you can message to discuss what you would like with the tutor before you agree on the tuition. I just wish there were more maths/physics available tutors to chose from in my area.”

“Tutor Samantha is very patient and understanding. Always ready to repeat any part of her tuition as and when needed. Samantha is approachable and knows her subject exceptionally well. I would highly recommend her tuition.”
