“I found the selection and booking system quite cumbersome but once this was resolved our tutor is great”

“It's a good website that met our needs very quickly. Easy to use and the fee was reasonable. it is a useful service as it means that you can choose a tutor with the confidence of knowing there is vetting in place and a third party is involved keeping a discreet eye on the process. We tried a different website first and we it wasn't very clear that it was online tutors only. We wasted our time and several phone calls going down that route.”

“Very pleased with the service they provided. Transaction is secure, fast and straightforward. Many tutors of wide range of subjects available. What I like the most is buying details, once you’ve purchased a tutor’s detail, you don’t need to fill in your credit card infos again as it’s been restored. Very convenient for me. I’ve found a tutor, who’s willing to work with my despairing and challenging situation. Without Firsttutors I’d not been able to! Thanks so much again. Definitely recommend to anyone! Would surely come back if I need another tutor!”

“Taiju is a very good teacher. My son came out of his one to one session buzzing today. First time ever, my son was excited about what he had learnt and how calm and patient Taiju was with him. Taiju explained in simple ways how to tackle questions without making it too complicated. Thank you Taiju”

“We hired Daniel to help our year 8 son with math , what a success! Daniel is a very good communicator our son instantly bonded with him so much so we have employed him for 2 days a week so our son can get up to speed as he changes schools highly recommend Daniel very personable.”

“I had my first intermediate Portuguese lesson with Patricia today and it was very useful. We spoke in past, present and future, as well as practising the subjunctive. She is very easy to talk to and helped me to gain confidence in speaking portuguese.”

“Jonathon is a very kind and efficient teacher ready to give the right answer to my particular necessities. I really appreciate his good disposition to listen what I am actually looking for and his attitude to be ready to give me the kind of classes I just asking for. He adapts perfectly to me as a student allow me to draw my own path and following my own rythm.”

“I found the website easy to use and quickly found exactly what I was looking for. I like that you can check tutor profiles and reviews, and the fact that there is information about where the tutor is based and that First Tutors act as a 'go between' so that you can contact potential tutors via the 3rd party, (and who have already verified certain details/qualifications of the tutor)”

“Terrible experience - I will not suggest anyone using it. It looks like a scheme trying to make you pay introductory fees. Tutor cancelled on the day of first appointment. I tried contacting First Tutor to get a refund with noone answering. Phone I found was disconnected. It looks like noone is actually works there!”

“William is fabulous! He knows his subjects backwards and is very personable and engaging, and my son can really relate to him. He is a much better teacher than Dad apparently!! My son recently got 45% in a very difficult GCSE paper but after 1 session with William, when the class did a re-test with a similar but different paper, my son was the only one in the class to score 100%! I cannot recommend William highly enough and think he is great value for money. :-)”

“I can't get hold of the tutor (Sara). We agreed last week Tuesday but then she prosponded to this week Tuesday but she never showed up. I tried to call and text her but no respond. I hope she is okay. And if she can't help my daughter like agreed, can I have my introductory money back please”
