“I have so far a great experience with First Tutors. Its very easy and straightforward to use. We have found really good tutors through this website who are helping my children to bridge their academic GAP. I would strongly recommend this website to any parent or student.”

“Excellent service which helped me find a wonderful Mandarin teacher. Tutor profiles, which are written by them, are extremely useful as give qualifications, experience etc. I was able to make a choice quickly based on geographical considerations as all the tutors whose info I was sent appeared to be eminently well qualified and experienced. I have now recommended this service to my daughter as she is looking for a German tutor for her young children. The on;y reason I have given 4 stars, not five, is that at times I found the site a little confusing”

“I found this website invaluable. It takes so much of the work out of finding a suitable tutor. The references are already on the site and there is usually some feedback which helps so much. Also the website is well laid out I have used it several times and would recommend it anyone seeking a tutor”

“I wanted to find an English tutor in a hurry. The First Tutors site allowed me to see easily who was in my locality and make contact with them. I was able to email the chosen tutor a number of times to make sure dates and times would suit and only then did I have to pay a one-off fee (£19.99) to obtain his details and make direct contact. An easy service to use and good value for money.”

“I spent a long time looking for a maths tutor for my daughter - thought I had found the perfect one ! Tutor came out to carry out planning meeting, tutoring was arranged and confirmed I then had an e mail from the tutor to say that he wanted to charge travel expenses - this put his fee up by 40% from what was actually quoted on First tutor website I am very disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience”

“Read all the instructions first (several times !!!!!) about how to communicate through the process before selecting your tutor. The fact privacy is maintained at all times adds comfort to the whole selection process.”

“Website Layout is ok. The whole payment amount wasn't clear that is was coming off the cost of going through First Tutors and I assumed it was for the first payment with the Tutor. My bad I guess.”

“I find the website to be not very user friendly. Eg... I'm having difficulty retracing my steps to find how much my chosen tutor charges and I can't find it ! Also , having made my choice and booked, I'm still being treated as if I haven't ....repeated alerts and non recognition of my current status.”

We aim to make our service as user friendly as possible and have recently made some changes to the site layout/navigation to help make the process easier for all of our users. “I hadn't realised that this website existed and was worried about how I would go about finding a tutor for my son. However, I was pleased that I found First-tutors through a google search and what could have been a stressful experience ended up being straightforward and efficient. I would definitely recommend this website.”
