“First Tutors have introduced us to four tutors for my 15 year old daughter who is taking GCSEs this year. I like a number of things about this agency. The first is that they give you access to all the tutors they have in the subject you are looking for in your area. This means that you are able to review the profiles and select them yourself, rather than having the agency select them for you. Another is that the process is efficient. The introduction website works well. The introduction fee is in the region of £25 which seems reasonable. Finally, the four tutors, in different GCSE subjects, who have tutored my daughter have all been very good. I have been able to choose three who are experienced in the syllabus to be covered, and one who is not - but is able to add excellent value nonetheless. The level of experience is reflected in the cost of tuition. The atmosphere while the tutorials are progressing is calm and productive. I have found this agency to be extremely good and am happy to recommend.”

Dear Edward, I am sorry to read that you have experienced difficulties in using the First Tutors website. We aim to provide a great user experience for tutors and students. The private forum is available to discuss your tuition requirements with your chosen tutor. Only when all tuition details have been discussed and you are happy to go ahead we ask you to pay the fee to receive the relevant contact information. Our fees help cover the cost of identity and reference checks on all registered tutors. I'm afraid that we do not permit students or tutors to pass contact details during the request opening. This is to protect both yours and your tutors personal information. You will be able to share your details with one another once you have confirmed you would like to go ahead with tuition. “Easy site to navigate, has one off reasonable introductory fee which you only need to pay if you want the contact details of tutor to be released. All the communication with tutor (discussing needs, agreeing days etc) could be done before you pay the fee. Very happy!”
