“First Tutors is an excellent website offering a range of some excellent tutors whom are current, examiners ( or ex-examiners) , and quite brilliant communicators! It is easy to set up a query to search for tutors. There are different options to finding tutors, you can read a tutor's profile and make a direct request to them for tutoring, or you can create marketplace request for a tutor, to which all tutors can respond, and you can thereafter reply to whomever you wish that fits your requirement. Whichever route you take, you can ask a series of questions so that you are sure that that specific tutor will actually fit your requirement. So for example you can ask if they have current skills, do they teach at a school, which board, how many tutees, what results have they achieved which their tutees eg. grade A's etc. Once you are sure this is the tutor for you both in terms of how they fit your needs, and if they see you face to face or online, then the tutor will agree to release their details to you and you can then purchase their details. An excellent website, easy to use, with a vast array of tutors, and some truely exceptional tutors!!!”

“Each page have different state tutors. Should put VIC, NSW, QLD ... etc different state tutors seperate to different page, make people easy to find tutors in our state.”

Dear Jackie, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you found the presentation of the tutors in the search listings to be confusing. To clarify for you: if you search by location or postcode for face to face tuition, you will only see tutors who are in the correct location, or within a limited travel distance. However, where you search for online tuition, you will see a list of tutors who are in many locations (different states), as we do not anticipate that location is a factor when searching for an online tutor. “Unfortunately it didnt go ahead. The tutor didnt come prepared for the lesson, no worksheets provided for my child to work from, she asked me to print worksheets instead. Covered one partial topic. After reading a text, questions not answered. (Work not complete) Didnt focus completely on the lesson, instead would write out homework during the lesson. No initial assessment even though was stated that it will be carried out. Also couldnt cover all the topics that i asked to cover during the lesson. Tutor worked from a workbook to teach but stated before that she would work from past papers, revision guides and has access to bofa online account resources.”

“I am happy with tutor I contacted but before I reached the tutor a tutor company intercepted and called me about something I was not interested in. A web based program. Very annoying and I never knowingly gave permission for this cold call.”
