“First Tutors is an easy and effective way to find a tutor in your area. Once you have selected your chosen tutor it is easy to communicate with him or her via the secure site. My only criticism is I feel the fee of £20 to use the site is excessive!”

“The website is very easy to use and get around. The variety of criteria offered for the choice of tutors (i.e. location, price, experience etc) is very practical and efficient. The follow up by email on quality of service by the website and suitability of the tutor also highly appreciated. Most importantly, from personal experience (two tutors so far) I can say that the tutors are extremely competent; their customised classes and teaching methods have permitted me to progress fast and efficiently. Overall very satisfied.”

“I have been very pleased with the tutors I have found through First Tutors and most of them have been excellent and courteous, which is most important. I must also say that one was a very bad experience, where she did it for the money and nothing else and she should be filtered out, who also charges the most!”

“The internet process is not very clear and I would have like a contact telephone number to help. However we got there in the end. 4 out of 5. We found an excellent tutor locally so it achieved the objective.”

“The website was very confusing and difficult to navigate. Whilst I appreciate you want your fee, jumping through all the hoops was a nightmare. You had to be very committed to get to the end. Perhaps that was your aim! The overall effect was very authoritarian and unfriendly. The outcome was successful but I wouldn't like to have to go through that again!”

“I hadn't come accross this concept for a service before but my experience was good. Found a tutor I like and only paid for her details after we had exchanged messages outlining requirements, confirming availability and agreed time to suit us both. Seemed a fair system and easy to use.”

“My child felt quite apprehensive in having a personal tutor, however Maruf has made this experience comfortable by being reasurring and understanding. In the few sessions that my child has had with Maruf he feels that he has made progress in terms of his academic capability and confidence in the subject. Maruf attends sessions well prepared, he is polite and respectful and i beleive that we will all benefit from Maruf's support as a tutor. I would recommend him for anyone seeking mathematical support, he is able to adapt to a range of different agas as my eight year old has also taken more interest in mathes due to his pressence, which i am very pleased with.”
