“A very useful source of local tutors. Fairly easy to navigate. Be aware there is an introductory fee which goes to the website, mine was £19.99”

“We found a very easy to navigate website and plenty tutors in our area. There was only one small glitch after selecting a tutor but it was resolved by the Help Desk in no time at all. Very pleased with the service and the tutor.”

“I did find the process quite lengthy as several stages to go through to actually get to what you needed. Also felt that the introductory charges were vague, ranging from £4.99- £24.99. I needed to pay the £24.99 but don't quite know why?”

The introduction fee varies according to how much a tutor charges per hour. We believe this means there is a range of tutors on the site to suit all budgets. The fee itself covers the cost of identity checks on all our tutors and security on the site in order to offer peace of mind to students and their parents/guardians. “Unfortunately, in my position where I need to learn the language quickly for a trip out to Germany in July, having a one-to-one session once a week ( can't afford more) is not going to work. I need daily practice and will find this through the internet. I will not be using First Tutors”

“My daughter chose Sophie herself and insisted on her. She was the perfect choice for my daughter and her learning needs and eased my daughter into the session with her fun and friendly attitude! Sophie was very professional, all communication was polite and prompt. I would highly recommend Sophie.”

“Managed to find a maths tutor pretty quickly and organised our first session. Think the price of releasing tutors details is fairly reasonable but if the price was to increase I would not be tempted to use the site again”

“Found several tutors very easily, was easy to make arrangements/check availability with the first two I contacted before I paid fee to release full contact details. Only criticism is that fees were indicated as being between £5 and £25, in both cases the fee was the maximum amount. It would be good if the second or third fee paid within say a week or two of the first is reduced. Otherwise the experience of using this site and reliability of tutors is good.”
