“Well laid out, with many options and first lesson went well. The £7.99 payment was unclear as the layout indicated this was the cost of the first lesson and the remaining was at the stated hourly rate. Thankfully I had enough cash for first lesson to avoid embarrassment. A good web site though.”

“Mr Onukwugha is simple the best! Great help with my dissertation - he was able to explain in simple terms and I'm very helped pleased overall with his service. In addition, he is very polite, ready to listen and empathic! Highly recommend!”

“The search for tutors works very well via this site. It's so helpful that you can see the distance to each possible tutor and that you're able to talk to several ones first before deciding for one. It helped me to find an excellent cello tutor in such a short time and with so less work!”

“I found the First Tutors website very easy to understand and to use. A tutor was quickly found, though I will not be having my first lesson until March 2017. One feature which I found annoying about First Tutors is that, you only have a limited amount of time to seek a tutor before you are told that you will be removed from their register due to inactivity.”

“Have used First Tutors in the past for my son and now using for my daughter. We were very happy with the tutors for my son. This time we had problems with the working of the site, logging in etc which was irritating. Also when the tutor sends messages of availability the numerals are covered with *** presumably so that telephone numbers are not given out so I couldn't actually see the availability and had to ask for times etc to be written out in words. Some tutors did not respond at all which was irritating too.”

“Easy to locate potential tutors (I have now successfully engaged two tutors - one for beginners Ancient Greek and one for A-level Philosophy). Slightly clunky software interface, difficult to use on my iPad (functionality went a bit weird) so had to revert to desk computer.”

“I found the website very easy to use. I was able to contact the tutors very easily and was given very prompt replies. I have arranged tuition for my wife with a tutor and i am extremely pleased to be able to recommend 'First Tutors' to anyone seeking tuition regarding musical instruments.”

“Lander was great!! We had a quick half hour ice breaker to get to know each other before my first lesson and it was great!! Lander seems really approachable and I can already tell from his fun happy go lucky attitude he is going to be a great teacher!! Cheers Lander and see you next Thursday!! ????”
