“Efficient and quick responses good”

“The service was OK - there seemed a reasonable range of tutors, although most had few reviews so we were making decisions on just a few comments. the 7-day shut-down of communications with a prospective tutor was inconvenient - especially when the tutor was taking 2 days to respond to messages/questions. The site was sometimes confusing and difficult to navigate - on our second 'advert' we ended up sending messages to 5 tutors when we thought we'd selected one. I am sure that was our fault, but the site could be clearer we think. We were charged £24.95 for finding a first tutor - which we felt to be a little expensive - £15 would have been good value, £20 OK”

“Good website however i think the charge to see a tutors details is far too high. A set price that can be paid to see all the contact details of all the tutors would be more ethical”

“In my case First Tutors was very helpful. I didn't know anyone who could help choose my tutor and the website gave me variety of them woth different prices, age and qualifications. Also cause I travel to tutor the fact that I contacted him via First Tutors made me feel saver.”

“I personally contacted 5 tutors - one responded quickly and I have engaged him, although his fee is actually 20% more than what was advertised (and he's quite expensive); one turned out to say she wasn't available after all, and another contacted me after 72 hours. So overall, it was ok ish. I sent a help request - no reply from your administrator. I wouldn't say I got value for money as yet.”

“I have sourced 4 excellent tutors from First Tutors who have helped my daughter get top grades in her GCSEs. I liked the security of being able to approach tutors through a broker before making the final decision on whether to take them on; also being able to read reviews of the tutor and know that they had been CRB / DBS checked. From my point of view First Tutors is excellent value.”

“I found 2 potentially suitable tutors very quickly and managed to send out a communication and receive a response quickly. It seems a good service and I am happy to pay a small fee for the spadework that has already been done, especially the reviews/feedback, which I found very helpful.”

“First tutors has been always the solution to my son's need. We found 2 amazing tutors for History and One for German. The advanced search allows me to specify needs in details saving time and finding solutions quickly. It's very worth the money you spend. Best wishes, Sabrina”

“This is the second time we have used First Tutors to find a tutor. The site is very easy to use and for our needs has a great selection of tutors. I love the 'market place' option and feel thius helps to find the right tutor who is available. I would definitely recommend First Tutors.”
