We ordered around 50 boxes for our employees for Christmas. The contents of the hampers themselves were well received however the deliver service used (Yodel) were very unreliable. 3 of the hampers arrived 5 days later so they weren't here for the specified date. There was no phone contact number so when contacting them for queries, communication has been lacking. No response for over a month regarding delayed/missing hampers and VAT receipts. We understand it's a busy and unprecedented time but even some basic communication is appreciated.

I placed 2 orders with BB in early December for delivery Dec 21. One was delivered on time and the recipients were delighted. Delivery of the other was delayed by over 3 weeks - we had made an error in one digit of the postcode! The remainder of the address was correct. Arranging correction of the postcode error proved a tortuous process and not greatly assisted by either your or the carriers (Yodel) support services. The quality of this second product was excellent....

I am extremely unhappy. I purchased four Christmas Hampers: Order Numbers: 100130508 100130523 100130536 100103901 at £ 99.99 each. As yet only three have been delivered!! Two hampers were delivered to 20 Abbots Close , Romford RM7 8QU In fact only one hamper should have been delivered there. The three hampers should have been delivered to the Neurology Out-Patient Department at Southend General Hospital, Prittlewell Chase, SS0 0RY Only one hamper was delivered there! Only one hamper was delivered before Christmas! There is still one hamper missing! I have tried on several occasions to contact BoroughBox by telephone but this has proved to be impossible Please contact me urgently to discuss the failure of your delivery of one hamper and to discuss my refund John Jestico

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service that I experienced with BoroughBox. I ordered the hamper on 11.12.20 with the expectation of pre Christmas delivery. In the event, the package was not delivered (by Yodel) till 5.1.21 and the goods were damaged. I tried to contact you directly but with very little success. Overall, a very shabby experience.

Was due to be delivered 18/12 this was delayed. Email sent saying would be delivered 23/12 nothin received. Eventually arrived 7/1/2021 no apology or explanation received. Will not use this company again.

My order of box of beer and snacks for Christmas present arrived finally on 24 December. One of the cans had punctured and soaked everything. One of the snacks was also missing. I emailed customer support immediately but have still had no reply - it is now 9 January so there have been working days in which to do so, even with COVID and Christmas getting in the way.

Ordered as a Christmas gift for a friend recovering from COVID-19. She was delighted with the variety in her Borough Box and it helped kick-start her appetite as she couldn't wait to try everything!

As previous recipients of a wine box from yourselves choose these a gift for my family however the late delivery kinda spoiled that a bit although the product is very good. We were offered a refund on delivery due to the chance of late delivery but did not take it up. Do think that a pre Christmas order not delivered until 6th January is quite poor.

I ordered hampers for family that we couldn't travel to see in the SouthEast - we wanted to buy from a more local producer and I have fond memories of visiting Borough Market with my mother - it was such a good choice - they were all thrilled and said the hampers were beautifully presented and the contents fabulous - it was a real mix - my sister and three teenagers, my sister and hubby who love the latest restaurants and my 77 year old mother - all totally thrilled! The teens as much as the adults! Thank you Boroughbox.

Although I didnt receive my order until after Christmas, BoroughBox kept me informed about my order and apologised on various occasions for the order not arriving. I have been very impressed with their customer service. I have since received my order and am very pleased with it.

ordered items off of borough box over Christmas, got cancelled on the day they should have arrived. Left me completely short to order anything else. Also the bottle of wine I ordered to accompany a present did arrive which was completely pointless. Very unhappy.

I ordered a parcel on 7 December in good faith that it would arrive in plenty of time for Christmas. The website did not indicate it would not be delivered on time. The closer it got to Christmas I was concerned that my parcel would not be delivered on time. I tried multiple times to contact Borough Box by email/phone/facebook/instagram and twitter. Perhaps because I advised that I was going to take the lack of response higher I finally heard from the CEO on Xmas Eve my time to enlighten me that my parcel would not be delivered on time. The lack of customer service and goodwill from this company was highly disappointing and I noted I was not the only one having issues. Processes from Boroughbox need to be looked at urgently and an apology to all clients that tried to get in contact should be sent out immediately. A business survives by its excellent customer service and I would say in this case you definitely did not offer any. Very hesitate to recommend or use this company again which is a shame as apparently the parcel I sent was of high standard.

I ordered champagne & chocolates for my aunt’s 80th birthday with BoroughBox because they allowed me to select a Saturday delivery date before Christmas. Not only was the present not delivered on time but I didn’t receive any warning that the gift wouldn’t arrive in time AND the delivery wasn’t made for a further 2 weeks. I received no opportunity to cancel the order nor compensation for the delay. I’m really disappointed and will not use this company again nor recommend it to anyone else.

I appreciate the current difficulties caused by covid (and possibly to an extent brexit). However I placed my order as a gift for a friend on the 14th December with the hope it'd get there by XMAS day. The usual shipping target was next day - the order wasn't going anywhere remote - although the general warning did say it may not make it for XMAS due to demand. Fair enough I thought. I got a call yesterday (6th Jan) saying they were just about ready to ship most of my order(?!?) - the rest would turn up next week! Had a call from the gift recipient earlier. Most of my order turned up and he's actually really impressed with the contents. He just wasn't sure why they turned up randomly in January I accept "next day shipping" has issues this year, but this was "next month delivery". Boroughbox might have been swamped, but it seems the shipping for my order started in 2021. Summary - happy with the contents, but far from happy with the shipping.

The platform offering is great, however I had issues with very delayed deliveries, and nothing was sent with messages per the order forms meaning that recipients didn't know who the boxes were from. In one instance, someone received a package with a completely different name/billing address to what was ordered. I understand that the demand before Christmas was huge, however if you can't cope with the orders, it would be best to state that personalisation and delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
