“Really good store. Bought some scoby and starter liquid from them to make my own kombucha tea at home. They shipped my order straight away, everything arrived on time and intact. The items were of high quality. The scoby did not come with instructions on how to produce your tea, but they had left a clear link to their online instructions, which were easy to follow. The tea tasted lovely, by the way.”

“I had previously thought of making my own sourdough starter but when I looked at Freshly Fermented organic white sourdough starter I changed my mind. I bought my white sourdough starter from Freshly Fermented due to it having a long history and traceability factor. I followed the instructions on the website to activate my starter which I have named “Betty” and made my first sourdough bread. I was so impressed with the starter and my bread was wonderful. I also bought the Caspian Sea yoghurt starter and successfully activated, I have been enjoying this yoghurt. I am very pleased with both of my starters and the clear instructions that are accessible on the website. I would definitely buy products from Freshly Fermented again.”

“These are really great because they are freeze dried, so keep for ages and are also organic. The service was efficient and the online supporting information is excellent. I didn’t realise that sometimes a new culture can take longer to ‘set’ then usual and actually wasted one and recoiled the milk because I thought it hadn’t worked. When it didn’t work with another new packet I added a couple more hours onto the timer - then it did work. They now just keep going and are delicious - I really like the creamier Beijing culture to have with stewed fruit or just with honey.”

“I have to say I have been delighted with the ferments I have tried so far from Freshly Fermented. The Bulgarian yoghurt is delicious and creamy, the Kefir delicious to drink. I have just made the Tumeric bug which is a lovely refreshing fizzy drink and good for me! I have yet to make the Creme Fraiche. The only thing I have struggled with are the Water Kefir grains. I emailed Freshly Fermented and Wesley came straight back to me and is sending some replacement grains. Excellent customer service - thank you. It is good to know that they are there if you need any help or advice. I can highly recommend. Give it a go!”

“I have been making water kefir and flavourng it with fruit for a few weeks. I really enjoy it being carbonated and hoping for great health benefits. I am glad that I tried Freshly Fermented Kefir water grains as previously tried goats milk Kefir and I just did not like the taste.”

“As a newbie to sourdough baking, the level of information on the website allowed me to choose the right starter for my needs. I ordered the white sourdough starter kit, and I am very impressed. It arrived quickly, and had great, easy to follow instructions for feeding and care. It is thriving and allowing me to learn the art of sourdough baking. The beginner recipe on the web was also brilliant. I definitely recommend Freshly Fermented.”

“Top class starters for both bread and dairy products. If you follow the instructions, you get 100% success rate. Love the yogurts to eat and to cook and bake with. Reasonable prices, as well as delivery prices and times. Highly recommended!”
