“I placed an order with them on the 18th of December for my Daughter’s main Christmas present, they stated they are UK company and fast delivery which is why I chose them as Amazon said delivery between 24th of dec and 2nd of Jan so I could not risk it, they sent an email soon after I placed my order confirming my order had now been shipped by Right Choice Store from United Kingdom and expected delivery on the 22nd, by the 23rd I decided to track item through DPD website (the link they give shows status as in transit) and it showed they had generated a tracking number but not actually dispatched the item with the carrier Not only this but the address is from abroad but they have set the address as UK at the bottom to try and deceive you, I then tried calling the call centre but to no avail as their staff are working remotely so please send an email! I sent an email and received a sarcastic “hello dear, item on the road so please be patient”, item still has not arrived (29/12)
I will be reporting this company to Trading Standards as I believe they are deliberately being deceptive. Customer service is absolutely appalling.
I do not EVER write negative reviews and I do not usually make poor choices when it comes to online purchases but if I can prevent someone else from this experience then I’m glad I’ve taken the time to write this.
Also you will notice the stars/ reviews for Fruugo seem good but if you delve deeper into the company they are an umbrella for (Right Choice Store) the reviews are not as good!”
“After more than 2 month of waiting, item was not delivered and had to cancel. Now they drag me and do not refund my money. No more orders from this place.”
“Waited for weeks before receiving this notice…
"Unfortunately, an item/s in your order is currently out of stock, as this is the case the retailer has had to cancel and refund your order. Please allow 2-5 days for this to be reflected. If you require any assistance with this, please don’t hesitate to contact Fruugo Customer Care.
We are so sorry for your inconvenience and please be assured that a full refund will be issued automatically."
Thanks for nothing, Fruugo! Never again!”
“I ordered a hoverboard for my girls Christmas, it's now 16.12 on Christmas eve and it's still not here. Thanks for ruining my 7 year olds Christmas. I sent emails checking it'll still be here in time and you confirmed it would be. Feel like I've been scammed, from reading the reviews so do many others.”
“The price suddenly changed just before the payment. I paid 75€ when it was supposed to be 48€ on your website.
The delivery is also one month late and I there is no way to track the package.”
“They are a fraudulent company. Nothing you buy from them will get to you. No consumer protection. Flawed so called internal investigations that they say start at 30 days and then when they don’t sort it out they say 90 days. Don’t be a dumb ass like me by buying from Fruugo.”
“I have ordered some Haito scissors and delivery should have been on the 8th December, sent loads of emails and now want my money back, terrible service”
“Do NOT order from this company. I ordered a pair of Fly Boots. I am very familiar with the product as I have some of the boots and wanted to replace a pair that is wearing out. I wear size UK 37. When I clicked on the UK 37 it converted it to a size 5 (no idea what this meant but I double checked to make sure I had chosen UK 37). The boots arrived in a UK 38 which was not the size I ordered. When I checked with Customer Service they said that I could return or exchange at my cost as I had ordered the UK 38 (which I had not). I again double checked the website to make sure I wasn't crazy and the UK 37 cross referenced to a 5. I sent another message as you must also return the product with a box and product that is in perfect condition. The boots were untouched but the box had been crushed during shipping. They refused to pay the return shipping and have now changed their website sizing-if there was no issue with the sizing no changes would have been required on their website (sizing now reads UK 4, 5, 6 ,7 etc). It would have cost me $180 Canadian to return the product for exchange-more than the value of the boots and this was NOT my error!!! Extremely POOR customer service!!!!”
“Item was a Christmas gift, and when I received it, it was labeled what it is!! The gift was for my husband and he saw the description on the outside of the packaging!!! EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED!!!”
“Worst company ever, can't even get trew to customer service, biggest scam. Orderd Christmas stuff for my son and was told i would have it before Christmas, DPD told me that they never sent any parcel to them, this company is the biggest scam and shouldn't be alowed to get away with this.now I'm lost out on €300 and will have a very upset little boy on Christmas morning .”
“Stay away. They represent counterfeit retailers and will do nothing to help refund your money even though my items were ceased at customs for counterfeit goods trying to be sent. They should not be allowed to trade and Rob people of their money with nothing in exchange. Steer clear”
