“I ordered the Gingerbread House Mini Tree for two different households and they did not arrive as described. The tree was suppose arrive “in a tin pot with ornament's and battery operated lights.” I expected it to arrive as picture - it came in a plastic bucket with the ornaments in a bag and the lights not on the tree. So, not only did it not come in the tin pot that matches the decorations, as pictured, the recipient must supply the pot and self decorate the tree. This was a gift not a project. The best FTD was offer 50% refund, they were not responsive to my 100% dissatisfaction. I will not place another order as I now can’t trust that what I order will be delivered. The pictures show you what they publish on the website and what was delivered.”
“Ordered birthday flowers a day early that were delivered at 5:09 pm. If this had been her place of employment, she would have gone home for the day. She thought I had forgotten her on a significant birthday.
It shouldn't take 34 hours to deliver local flowers when this is what the business core function.
I'm still waiting to verify that what was delivered was what was ordered. I don't have much confidence at this point in the entire transaction.”
“I ordered flowers for two different funerals, two weeks apart. The first flowers weren't received until 2 days after the funeral and the ones we just sent for a funeral this morning never arrived. Just ridiculous! I won't use them again.”
“I ordered flowers to be delivered to an in-law in Maryland whose father had just died, and FTD took 10 days to deliver them. I ordered them on a Friday and thought they’d be there on Monday, but Monday afternoon they called me and said delivery would be delayed by one day. Then they called me Tuesday and said the same thing. They also called me on Wednesday and Thursday. During that Thursday call, they promised to deliver the flowers on Friday and gave me a 20% credit on the order. On Friday, no call, and still no delivery. They eventually showed up on Monday.
It was nice of them to give me a credit, and to call each day with an update, but 10 days is ridiculous and I’m a little miffed that they didn’t call me that Friday to let me know they were going to be unable to deliver them on that day, too. So, 2 stars. I won’t use them again.”
“I ordered a flower arrangement and it was nothing like the photo. It looked like they just shoved the flowers in a vase. They offered a 17.00 credit to my card! They should have delivered a replacement or given a full refund. I will never use them again.”
“I ordered flowers for a sick friend, next day delivery. Received notification they could not fill until 5 days after the online order. That is totally unacceptable.”
“Beautiful flowers but they delivered late TWICE. They got it wrong the first time so they redelivered it for me promising to get it on time and it’s an hour late so far and no word. Don’t expect them to follow your delivery notes.”
“Ordered the clear skies bouquet. Supposed to include white roses and delphinium. What my daughter received was a nightmare- the worst grocery store bouquet you could imagine. Instead of delphinium and roses it was spray painted hydrangea - truly awful. To their credit customer service delivered an alternate bouquet from a different florist - far better than the first bouquet- but a far cry from the blooms that were promised. I will avoid FTD from now on. I tried to upload photos but mysteriously won’t upload.”
“I order flowers every year for my mom for Mother’s Day. As in all prior years, I chose a specific arrangement as advertised on the FTD website. What my mother received is nowhere CLOSE to what I ordered. And that happens every single year. Why have options available in your website to choose from if no florist can fulfill it as ordered? I fully realize there are times that the florist reserves the right to occasionally swap out floral colors or various flowers if they are otherwise out of stock on something that my preferred arrangement requires. And I am fine with that. But I feel that EVERY year when I order, the florist doesn’t even look at what I’d ordered, and they just throw some random cheap flowers into a vase and deliver it. Just once I would like my mother to get something at least remotely similar to what I ordered. Is that too much to ask? Why bother posting photos of arrangements on your website to choose from if no florist will be able to fulfill the order as requested? In what other line of business is it appropriate to just send a completely alternative (and less premium) product without any regard for what was ordered? I am all for the occasional substitutions as i said above, and that is acceptable. What isn’t acceptable is paying for a beautiful premium arrangement that is advertised on the website but getting a cheap arrangement instead, that includes NOTHING of what I ordered. The arrangement received is decent enough I guess. But if I place an order for a pair of $100 khaki pants and the business decides to fulfill my order by just sending me a $19.99 polka dot skirt, is that acceptable? No. That’s such a scam. FTDs website should consist of one page saying “click here to send random floral arrangements to a loved one because we actually can’t fulfill specific requests or even prepare any arrangement as pictured on our website. Because we false advertise.” The photos attached are my last 2 orders…and what was delivered. Like I said, the delivered flora is ok looking but is likely 50% cheaper than what I paid for. This happens every year - I’m done giving you another chance.”
