“First, they sold me a bouquet of flowers. Then for two days in a row, I had to call because they kept switching up the flowers and making me reapprove it. Finally, they didn’t deliver anything at all and so now I’m trying to get a refund what a complete waste of time”
“I had ordered birthday flowers for a friend. I requested delivery before 3:00 as she was leaving early. They didn't arrive until after she left. Very disappointed. Will not use them again. My husband had a similar experience on Valentine's Day. I didn't get the order at all.”
“Ordered birthday flowers a day early that were delivered at 5:09 pm. If this had been her place of employment, she would have gone home for the day. She thought I had forgotten her on a significant birthday.
It shouldn't take 34 hours to deliver local flowers when this is what the business core function.
I'm still waiting to verify that what was delivered was what was ordered. I don't have much confidence at this point in the entire transaction.”
“ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH!!!! I ORDERED A RED POISETTIA WITH BASKET AND BOW. WHAT WAS DELIVERED WAS A WILTED ONE WITH ON BASKET, NO BOW AND LOOKED LIKE IT CAME FROM KMART. I ASKED THE RECIPIENT FOR A PICTURE AND SENT IT ALONG WITH MY COMPLAINT. FOR SEVERAL DAYS I GOT EMAILS APOLOGIZING AND SAYING THEY WOULD REDELIVER. THEY DIDN'T.NEXT THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE GIVING ME PARTIAL REFUND AND WOULD SEND "COMPLIMENTARY BOUQUET." IF THEY CAN DELIVER THAT, WHY COULDN'T THEY DELIVER WHAT I ORGINALLY ORDERED?! AFTER I SAID I WAS GOING TO COMPLAIN TO VISA ABOUT POOR PRODUCT/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND WRITE A REVIEW, NOW I'M GETTING FULL REFUND. REFUND DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR THE EMBARRASSMENT OF RECIPIENT GETTING UGLY FLOWERS!!! NEVER USE FTD!!”
“They’re a scam! Don’t use them! Purchased flowers to be delivered. We have a ring video of the florist walking to the door knocking once then walking to the truck with the flowers - wasn’t on the porch more than 3 minutes. When we called to inquire- they refused to provide a refund and said they can’t do anything about that. It’s a scam! Do not use them!”
“Very disappointing. Apparently they have a large collection and they can do anything for you. Promises, promises for flowers to arrive in time. Guess what: 24 hours delay!0
And it was for a birthday! What is the point to buy expensive, exotic flowers for a birthday, to pay for service in time and they would arrive next day!
Be very careful with this company! I would not ever never use them or recommend them.”
“The delivery time was perfect. The tulips never opened they all are turning brown and dying. Do not know what store they came from. They were a sympathy gift.”
“Ordered from the website just fine, then the day before the order was supposed to go out they blocked the card and requested way too much information and a fax from a bank :/ who even faxes anything anymore. The call center was of course India, and they seemed to have no idea how to do a job.
Tried to get the info to them, but they didn't like the fact that I was deployed overseas. So after 5+ phone calls and 15 emails I finally gave up with that useless company and submitted a charge back with my bank and called a local florist that was down the street from my wife's apartment.
Completely useless company. Overcharging and under delivering.”
“Ordered flowers on FTD and they were delivered to the wrong address. I was told I was getting a partial refund but in reality I received a credit that was only good for two months, and didn’t even cover the full delivery charges of $19.99. I will NEVER use FTD again. I will call the florists directly because at least then you know who you’re dealing with and can work directly with the florist handling your flowers. FTD has become a nightmare to use.”
“This is the second time I have dealt with FTD and the second time they have messed up the delivery. The first time was for my grand-daughters high school graduation. I ordered them in plenty of time and was assured they would be delivered on her graduation day. I get an e-mail the day of delivery that the order will be late and she did not get it until 2 days later. Dealing with customer service was a joke, you could not understand the people due to strong foreign accents. So I decided to give them another chance and on November 19th I ordered flowers for my grand-daughters Sweet 16 and I was promised a delivery on November 23rd. At 3:30 that afternoon there was still no delivery so I checked with customer service and tried to speak to someone but I could barely understand them due to a strong foreign accent. He assured me the flowers were out for delivery. An hour later I receive an e-mail that they are unable to deliver the flowers because the florist did not have the correct flowers and they would put different ones in and "try" to get them delivered on Monday the 23rd. What kind of service is this? an out and out lie by customer service telling me the flowers were out for delivery when in fact the arrangement was not even made yet. I call customer service again and speak to a woman who I could barely understand and she said I was not lied to, just how does she figure that? I told her I was assured they were out for delivery when in fact they were not even made up, so how are they "out for delivery". She told me she would add more flowers and refund some money when I told her I was going to write a bad review. She was more concerned that I did not write a bad review rather than deal with the poor customer service. NEVER AGAIN WITH FTD.”
“I received a gift from a dear friend and the mums were dying and dead. When I called customer service, they could only give my friend a partial refund. I did not want to hurt her feelings by telling her that her gift was delivered dead.”
“BEWARE of possible bate and switch!!
I paid for a beautiful full spray of casket flowers, but received an embarrassingly small spray that didn't even cover half of the casket.
After complaining to the FTD customers service department, I received a partial refund, however, I still overpaid for what I received.
I'm including photos of what I ordered versus what I received.
There was supposed to be a card included, but there wasn't no card, so I'm unaware of the actual FTD Florist who filled my order.”

“If I could leave a review less than one star I would. I placed an order for same day delivery as advertised. They called and delayed a day. Then the next day it still wasn’t delivered and I called and they assured me it would be delivered the next day. After three days the order was cancelled with no explanation. When I called they said it couldn’t be locally sourced. Do not order from them. They are inconsistent and i communicative.”
“As a 30+ year customer, I ordered flowers for my niece and sister for their birthdays.
My niece's didn't arrive Monday, and they didn't even notify me there would be a delay. I checked with her today - No Delivery...2 days late! I called them - they said they would deliver today and give me 30% off my order. I said "OK"
I got an email showing far less than 30% off and the wrong order number. I called to see what was going on. They said they can only refund off the flower portion of the order...not the mylar balloon, shipping or tax. To me, 30% off meant "off the total". To them, it meant a lot less! But, they didn't say that when I agreed to a 30% refund.
To top if off, I got a massive runaround from customer service. After 30+ years of using FTD, I doubt I will ever use it again. I can't trust them anymore.
(And, for the record - my niece's birthday present is still not delivered...2 days late. If it's not there today, I'm just filing a dispute for the total with my credit card company. Every call with their support takes 20+ minutes. Not worth it.)”
“Ordered 2 weeks ahead 50 Red roses for our 50th wedding anniversary .
They came 3 days late. Messed up our anniversary big time!
Will not order thru this service again!!!!”
“6 days before delivery date, we spent time choosing a lovely Thanksgiving cornucopia for our mom’s birthday close to the Fall holiday. Today, 2 days later, I started receiving emails about the item not being available and/or not being able to find a local florist to deliver. They could send it in an “award-winning gift box” thru FEDEX. We chose that option as we really wanted the Fall cornucopia from the website. They replied to my email that the cornucopia would be substituted and sent by FEDEX, but in a basic FTD box. What about the “award winning” box? I then saw that it was substituted for a strawberry swirl bouquet which looked nothing “fall” related cornucopia and cost LESS than what we ordered!! I’m curious to see if it’s delivered on time and what she actually receives… why would you have something online that isn’t actually available? Never again FTD.”
