Appalling customer service after care. Purchased dining set comprising of table, bench & four chairs. Delivery no 1 - bench & table - bench was damaged. Delivery no 2 - 4 x chairs - 2 were damaged & 2 were incorrect model. Delivery no 3 - 1 chair OK, other 3 damaged. Agreements along the way for damage refunds, return refund & goodwill payment for inconvenience caused, but final email was £100 short. Frustrating 40 minute phone call to customer services this afternoon, to be advised they have no record of the agreed £100 goodwill payment. This was agreed via the Furniture Ombudsman! The entire process with customer services has been painful. I will never purchase from Furniture Village again & will be sure to share my experience with others.

Hi Kush thank you for your interest regarding our experience today at York FV Clifton Moor. My husband and I were very disappointed with the store managers lack of customer care regarding the change in pricing of the Grigio dining room suite. We had gone into store to purchase the said item but due to the £200 increase from seeing it originally 3days ago we asked questions we were then told by the salesman that the price would be honoured only then to experience the lack of empathy by the store manager, communication was performed at the coffee machine in the middle of the store and not at a desk. We are seriously considering purchasing the same or similar item from another retailer, where pricing is transparent and does not fluctuate so readily. I have tried to upload a photo of FV pricing but this function not able at this time.

AVOID FURNITURE VILLAGE Three days after delivery of our 3 piece suite we noticed one of the chairs was lopsided. This was way back in February. under consumer rights I requested the faulty goods be collected. As many people have found to their cost , this shoddy bucket shop consider themselves above any consumer rules as they totally ignore them Fortunately I came across a FB group, “let down by Furniture Village” where I located over 1,500 people with issues against them too!! I obtained an independent report that found MANY problems with the suite, further highlighting appalling workmanship!! We are still awaiting a refund. Do not buy from Furniture village AVOID FURNITURE VILLAGE

This is now my 2nd time buying for Furniture Village and will never do this again. The customer service team are appalling, rude and unhelpful. I've had my bed since 24/12/24 and and has been broken since 21/07/24 and I'm still waiting on my part. rang to speak to the manager and they refused. I've come of the phone angry and upset on how I have been treated.

Faulty sofa, report says Manufacturing Defect, reported within 6 months and they will not exchange! Bought a G Plan Thirnbury sofa from Furniture village £4666.00 and within 6 months it is rocking and one seat is starting to collapse. They sent a technician out and he confirmed that the sofa has a manufacturing defect and the frame and arm is out by 20mm and the frame is twisted. All they will offer is to put spacers on it to correct a manufacturing fault that was reported within 6 months. Under the consumer act I am entitled to an exchange or refund but they are ignoring it and will only repair it. They said I was only entitled to an exchange within the first 30 days and have to have it repaired. Beware buying from Furniture village. I will never buy from them again

I'd love to add pictures but I cannot lift my king-size ottoman because the the header and foot bars have buckled after only two and a half years' single occupancy by an average size woman. I have had a great chap round from a local independent bedstore who says it wasn't bolted together sufficiently tightly and the should have been legs to support the central bar. Furniture Village have refused to help because there's only a 2 year guarantee on clearance items. I am disgusted.

furniture not fit for purpose, assessor came out, what a waste of time that was. I can't challenge what the assessor has said which was its just wear and tear. A £2k best quality leather settee shouldn't be unfit for purpose after 2 people have sat on it one and off for 1 year. FV is a joke and I will not be shopping there again, nor recommending to any friends or family. Customer Service is atrocious and not customer friendly at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS FURNITURE VILLAGE , LINCOLN We ordered a rug on 17th August and are still waiting for it six weeks later it still hasn’t arrived ( it was promised in a week). Despite numerous telephone calls to the company the promises to return our calls never materialised. We decided to cancel , given that we considered that they had broken their side of the contract , and given that we had no idea when delivery might be . The manager said the various sales people we had contacted had not spoken to her and they were not part of the company , therefore not the companies fault . Deal with them at your peril

Chest of drawers purchased for my mother. Noticed a very strong difference in some of the grain from the rest. That’s the nature of wood I guess. The main problem is an area of the drawer top surface- looks imperfect. Has white markings on it like it’s mouldy. Feels rough to the touch, whereas the rest feels very smooth. Reported this to FV. They asked me to send pics and video. Did that. Had to chase them three times for update. They never managed to get back to me without me phoning them for update. Poor quality for a high price. Poor attitude and putting the blame onto the supplier of the item. I asked them about me potentially sanding the top down to make this right. They told me , if you do that you’re not under guarantee. What a joke. Very disappointed.

Unreliable, untrustworthy, and unprofessional. I purchased a £900 partially assembled wardrobe last month over the phone from Joel at the New Malden store. When the delivery team (an external company with no affiliation to Furniture Village—huge red flag) attempted to bring it upstairs, the wardrobe was damaged. They took photos and assured me it would be reported, but this turned out to be false, as they later denied any damage had occurred. Despite their attempts, they claimed the wardrobe wouldn’t fit and rejected it due to an "access issue," when the real problem was the damage. This was especially surprising since a 5ft king-size ottoman bed had been delivered just a week earlier with no issues. The wardrobe was returned to the delivery depot, where the manager also denied the damage and maintained that it didn’t fit. It’s now been almost a month, and I’ve had to struggle daily to get any updates on compensation, a refund, or an exchange. I've called the New Malden store every day, multiple times, only to be told, “We will call you back,” but I’ve never received a call. I had been in contact with the store manager, Addy, who has since mysteriously left the company (which is hardly surprising). I even visited my nearest store for assistance, but they refused to help, saying it would be like “stealing money from another branch”—how ironic. They have essentially stolen my money. If this issue isn’t resolved after this review, I will escalate it to a tribunal and pursue Furniture Village in small claims court. This is not a family-oriented company. They have no values, no customer care—just another money-grabbing business.

Paid £3,000 for a corner sofa and the leather surface is peeling on one back rest they seem to think this is OK after 2 years, strange as they talk about a 20 year warranty but that is only the frame. Maybe they should put a sign on their furniture saying THIS UPHOLSTERY WILL BE SHOT IN TWO YEARS EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE IT MUCH, AND WE COULDN'T CARE LESS AS WE HAVE BANKED YOUR CASH!

When I bought a load of furniture in the Guildford store, I thought it was going to be great. We agreed that nothing would be sent before Sep 30. Then one thing arrived two months early, so I contacted them again and they promised nothing else would be sent. Then something else was sent, so, unable to get through on the phone after 7 attempts, I drove from London to Guildford to talk to them. They then promised again that nothing else would be sent. Today, Aug 29, I get a message saying the rest is arriving tomorrow, Aug 30. Disaster. I've never seen anything so horrendously shambolic. So disappointing as we paid so much.

Absolutely awful experience with Furniture Village at Plymouth Marsh Mills. We were blatantly lied to about the Cinemax sofa—we were told it could be placed against the wall and still recline, but that’s completely untrue. The media chair was also a disaster; it can’t connect to the TV at the same time as the sofa, contrary to what we were promised. When I went back to the store, the sales advisor made ridiculous excuses, showing zero understanding of the products. But the worst part? The general manager, Steve, yelled at me over the phone when I tried to get a refund! The customer service is beyond terrible, and the products are misrepresented and faulty. Stay far away from this store if you don’t want to be misled and treated with utter disrespect

finance and a new table and chairs by cash at @furniturevillage in Norwich . The sales guy really sold the table and chairs to us telling us they had a 20 year , yes 20 year structural guarantee !!!! . But , it took a while to get , as made in Italy . Month ago, one of the chairs welds snapped on a leg that attaches to the seat . No problem , amazing 20 year guarantee !!! Called @furniturevillage up, and they asked IS IT THE WELD THATS SNAPPED ? Yes , it is !!! Then I was told we dont sell that any more and we can’t get it any more . Will get someone to call you . Initially called, and told could have £100 for the chair . Wasn’t happy as can’t get a matching chair ? Told that was all the could do . Call ended . Called again to go over guarantee, and told no, you can’t have £100, you can have £700 to go try buy another dining set with furniture village . As you’ve have it for two years . The set was £1200. Many emails to @furniturevillage asking for the intial call offering £100 for chair , and no reply . Called today , spoke to a oh so pleasant girl , who basically said. no, you can have £700 credit to go into store and put more money towards a new set , or nothing . I quoted the 20 year structural guarantee to her , and she said basically , read the terms and conditions . It says we reserve the right to use the least cost option to resolve , which can be refunding part of the original price . And kept referring me to the trading standards act , and told me to seek my own legal advice !!!!!!! What use is a 20 year structural guarantee ??? That is used so heavily to convince a sale ???? Please note , this is not heres £700 and keep the set , it’s £700 towards a new set , then old one taken away
