Furniture Village don't have a geniune sale, they just play with figures, on every Sale Promotion. Customers don't actually get a deal or a bargain. The saleman are more interested in selling you there 5 year warranty. I'm after a leather sofa for over a year now. Still the prices keep the same, over all sales periods.

I bought two Natuzzi sofas, one reclining, about 4 years ago from Furniture Village in Tunbridge Wells at a total cost of £4500. Roughly 4 months after purchase the reclining sofa seat developed a dent. I complained. Their ‘independent’ expert visited and declared the sofa sound. Fast forward 4 years and the dent in the sofa seat is extremely large. I got a truly independent expert to examine the sofa and produce a report. Evidently the sofa seat padding was of market stall standard, the reclining mechanisms were faulty and many other faults were found. Basically the sofa was made of very substandard materials and pretty poor workmanship. Furniture Village were uninterested and so I took it to the Furniture Ombudsman. The latter, who claim independence, maintain their operation with the funding of many large furniture sellers including Furniture Village. A final case closed offer of £1350 was made with the stipulation of taking both sofas away. No recompense of the furniture report cost of £350 which they required to prove that their furniture was faulty. The offer of £1350 took into account that I had had 4years use of the sofas ie it has cost £2150 for 4 years use of 2 sofas! But no account was taken into the fact that if the sofas had been to normal standard and not faulty I could have expected 12+ years use. Lesson learnt- don’t expect to get what you pay for. Next step - small claims court

I bought a bed from the Frien Barnet FV store on the 13th January. I Paid a huge chunk of my purchase in cash. I changed my mind the following day .I was informed that because I had bought the bed in store and not online I wasnt entitled to a refund but I could exchange the bed for something else. I ended up buying a bed a few hundred pounds more expensive. Total cost of £930 When I got home and checked my invoice. (Apparently I'd made massive savings.) I had been given the original invoice for the first bed. I phoned the store immediately and was promised the new invoice in the post. 3 weeks later and numerous phone calls. And promises from diffrent sales people all promising me my updated invoice . I finally got it. But Nearly 2 months later I do not have my bed. I recieved a text almost 3 weeks ago. The text read that my ged would be delivered on the 24th Febuary. But the next day I recieved another text to say that They could only deliever half my bed. And could arrange for the other half the matress to be delivered at another time. I replied that I want my whole bed delivered at the same time. Do now its 3 weeks later and I've not heard back. I have no idea when I am getting my bed. I feel totally conned by this awful company. Avoid!

We spent over 3 k at furniture village on bedroom furniture when it arrived we noticed it was damaged straight away and reported it to head office and the store via email we also tried calling and posting letters all with no response the manager bradley at the time was none responsive, we are disgusted with the way we were treated, we had to contact our card issuer to obtain reimbursement, 7 months later we receive contact from the new store manager raif asking for the money back we were refunded, our issue was and still is completely ignored, unfortunately we disposed of the goods and are now in a legal battle. Moral of the story is if you buy from these con merchants you will receive No after care once they have taken your money, PAY A PREMIUM AND BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK

After treating ourselves to an ercol bed, £1800 later. We still have the bed in pieces in our bedroom. Three visits later, the workmen declared it’s a mix of 2 beds and can’t be put together. FV are evasive and Ercol uninterested. Nearly 4 weeks of sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Don’t expect any serious customer service. They don’t seem interested once the sale has been made. Staff do not get back to us despite daily phone calls. I wish I’d kept our old bed.

Purchased a salamander 3 seater sofa in 2017 . Right hand recliner dropped and seat saved. Told the engineer report could find no fault or flaw caused by structural or manufacturing defect . Told by the shop cushions aren't covered. This seems to be a recurring problem with several of their sofas. Will never buy from them again.

Trustpilot reviews As requested Order No. 479107853 Review of Furniture Village Chris 6 reviews 1 star: Bad 4 hours ago 1 star 1 star, this is mainly for SERVICE! We purchased the Kensington Suite with a foot stool which cost over £400. (the whole suite costing over £3,000) It was all delivered on November 21st. By November 27th a button on the foot stool had fallen off, and also from the day of delivery I reported o the delivery guys that one of the knowles on the couch was scratched, so I called FV to get it fixed. We are now on February 12th and so far between emails going back and forth - the last email I wrote asking for a date for the repairer to come and fix the button and replace the knowle, I received no response, It appears I am dealing with a repair company called Homeserve No connection to the boiler company I found out from a rather short tempered FV Customer Service Agent who also informed me that Homeserve had tried several times to contact me (which was untrue because I checked with Homeserve.) I am told by Homeserve that the long wait is the fault of the manufacturers so the wait goes on! FV are not responding to my emails anymore and it appears have washed their hands of the situation just as other reviews have reported. I would think twice before purchasing any furniture from these large companies in future and feel that they take advantage of their customers after they get the money and wash their hands of any responsibility for damaged goods blaming it on their repairers or the manufacturers! I feel it is down to FV to ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely fashion, and that you should only have to deal with them, and not third parties. Needless to say this was not pointed out at the time of purchase in fact I was told when I enquired about damage on delivery that I was not to worry as FV would deal with it! Now on our 3rd leather sofa from furniture village Darlington. Which again has gone faulty they sent there independent technician/clown to do a report. He agreed the foam had flattened but there was no fault to the frame, webbings, but was unable to do a repair because he has nowhere to do it? But now the report has come through to say their “technician” found no fault I am now in process of getting a independent report done on advice from trading standard. And going down the legal route. Our sofa foam has flattened as is not capable of support and completely unusable, and didn’t even reach its first birthday. I Would certainly not recommend this company to my worst enemy, and very sad to see so many people around the country have had the same treatment. But I will endeavour to fight to the end as you all should

We have spent nearly £5000 on a sofa. Firstly, we were given an ex display sofa, with lots of damages. They then apologised and blamed the delivery being the reason to why the sofa was damaged. They then gave us a new one which again with faults. The sofa hasnt been with us even 3 months and we have contacted customer service on many occasions. And no response, we dont know what we should do. They keep good quality sofas on display in the store and when they give you a sofa, its not of the same quality. Feels cheaper and damaged. The cushion of the sofa has already become flat and side of the sofa has become slanted and they have done nothing about it.

After purchasing the the Verona two seater and three seater the seating area collapsed within the first four months and complained as it progressively got worse after six months, according to the Tunbridge Wells branch his is not a fault as it isn’t the frame or the webbing and the foam that has collapsed is not faulty either as it has to be perishing to be classed as a fault. So please can you explain why you replaced the first set of furniture that had the same fault it was the allessi range. You have sent out an independent inspector who was supposed to repair the seating area and he took one look and said he could not repair it, so to me this should be classified as a major fault and you should be in talks with the supplier to address this problem, and also give me some credit I would not be complaining if I wasn’t extremely unhappy with this product and also the way I have been treated by the Tunbridge Wells staff. This is a picture of the problem and we can now no longer sit on this sofa! What a waste of money!

Absolutely dreadful company. Spent £1200 on a coffee table and side table. Delivery drivers did not put them together properly, after many calls they returned and still haven't...about 25 calls, still not sorted the problem, think they want us to forget ....so much hassle. Been going on for over 2 months. Will never buy from them again...also seen the same items just over half their price on internet.

We bought an expensive corner sofa from the Cheadle branch and initially we were very happy with it. After a few weeks, we noticed the interior becoming flat in areas. I spoke to customers services and they informed me that the interior was not covered by the guarantee and would have to pay for new ones. Even after many complaints, they refused to replace them. Now we can feel the frame when you sit in certain areas. Do noy buy from them, the after service is terrible.

Bought seasons sofa, complained as the material started bobbling after 2-3 months and the sofa was very rarely sat on. Was told spoke to manufacture and this is normal, was told to buy a de bobbler. (I have email confirmation of this) They want your money then are not prepared to do anything to help you. My cousin bought a very similar sofa from next, she has 6 children and had the sofa a long time no bobbling at all on her sofa. My advice go elsewhere if you don’t want to waste your money and be left with a product that’s looks terrible.

Bought a Carolina " leather sofa " top surface started to peel after few months on seat cushion and head area. They sent out their "expert to examine " told it was because I had put my head on the leather and the oil had made it peel ...what a load of nonsense. This is not real leather but has a polyurethane coating sprayed on it.. Fobbed off until they said warranty has run out, noiw not interested in keeping customer happy...Avoid anything made out of fake leather from Furniture Village ...

Having purchased a three seater and two seater sofa in exchange for the first suite which collapsed in the first week at £700 pounds more hoping that this would be a better product, six months and the same has happened but furniture village say this is not a fault it’s wear and tear as an independent inspector claimed in his report. So if this is not a fault why did they exchange the first purchase saying it was a fault by the manufacturer, as the same problem is identical. I have shopped at this store in Tunbridge Wells since it opened will never use again, and advise others to steer clear.

Ordered a corner sofa, extremely disappointed with it. When it arri Ed the puffe was a different colour and had to be reordered. The sofa itself is very uncomfortable to sit on for more than fifteen mins or do, the seat cushions do not seem to be well filled or supportive. The seams on the seat cushions are coming apart. This was not a cheap corner unit at all. We will not be buying again from f. V. We cannot recommend tbis dofa to anyone snd would prefer to have our old suite back 😔
