DO NOT USE - An order was placed with Gardening Express on 11 June 2020. On June 22nd having no correspondence as to when the delivery would be received I wrote to cancel the order and requested to credit my credit card no goods had been received and the plants were no longer required due to the delays. Any respectable company would do this as they would not charge the customer’s card without shipment. Having ordered plenty of items online this is normal practice. The Company wrote on June 23rd saying the order had already been shipped and later the same day an email was received saying the order was still being processed, so one knew the previous communication was a fabrication. The same day an email was sent to the company requesting a copy of the despatch note which was not provided as it didn’t exist. On June 24th a message was received that part of the order was delayed and no timeframe of expected delivery even though a message was written cancelling the order. Then late on June 24th a notification was received that part of the order had been shipped with the courier Yodel. On June 27th a parcel from Yodel was received which was literally dumped on the doorstep (nothing to sign as to whether the goods were in good condition or not), the packaging on the outside was crushed in two places. From the state of the packaging it seems the package was thrown into the van and not handled with care. On inspection the plants were dried out and half dead, the two of the three plant pots were smashed they are not useable. The plant leaves were shrivelled up and are of such standard they are only fit for the garbage bin. Appalled with this Company is an understatement, there is no customer service, there is no Customer is always right attitude and focus and with this attitude the Company will not survive. This will be taken up with the credit card company, demanding a charge back as your company have taken monies from customers without shipment of goods and goods which are not fit for purpose. As I’m afraid you cannot speak with anyone and it is unlikely your correspondence will be dealt with as there are too many complaints. The marking this company as a * 1 star is a joke, but you cannot vote any lower on here.

Absolutely appalling service and unable to return my dreadful plants for a refund as they cannot be contacted . It's obvious that their Facebook page has false comments because it is probably one of the worst companies I have dealt with. Don't buy from them!,

I was promised max 15 days delivery. I placed my order on 15th April. On 6th May I've raised 1st ticket asking for a full refund – no answer. 13th May – 2nd ticket asking for a full refund as terms of delivery has been broken – no answer. 26th of June - 2 boxes with part of the order were delivered, some plants in one box were packed upside down and arrived with broken, brown or yellow leaves. One plant is still missing. On 26th of June I raised 3rd ticket. Today is 02nd July and still no answers, no missing plant, no refund...

Shocking company. Delays due to pandemic - this is understandable and I waited patiently on your advise that orders would have 2-4 week delays. After 8 weeks my order arrive, missing 1 item. Almost 11 week later i'm still missing my item ad nor replies to multiple emails. All this and you billed my card on the day of purchase!!!! Shame on you. I'f you can'r manage the business don't take the orders. You've lost a customer!!

Order placed 17th April and acknowledged on 25th.Made allowances for delay due to Covid but eventually advised them unless order received by 12th June to cancel and refund.As of 1st July not a peep .No sign of plants or money.Phone number they provide not in use.

What can I say! Under no circumstances use this company. They will take your money on ordering and not deliver. I ordered second week in April and received one of the 3 items 9 weeks later, still waiting for the balance. If you try to get hold of them, they do not respond. The items that did arrive were nothing like the photo and so pathetic, I'm embarrassed to put them in my front garden! SHAME ON YOU GARDENING EXPRESS for taking thousands of peoples honestly earned money!!

0 stars if I could - AWFUL COMPANY - AVOID. Plants arrived six weeks late in awful condition, thrown into a cardboard box with no care, bent, broken, lifeless plants, died within days. Another six weeks for a reply via Twitter and only because I made a public complaint with photos. No apology, no offer of refund... Cannot believe this company continues to exist and make money. DO NOT USE.

Ordered a couple of plants which arrived after a looong delay. Kept on getting emails saying to keep calm but no sight of any timely delivery. Then when I asked for cancellation and refund of my money, they wake up and tell that the order has already been dispatched.the plants get delivered to a wrong address. And in such a bad shape that it was unbelievable. Repeated emails to them about the bad quality of plants has go me no response. They have cheated me out of my money. I sent a message to the owner on his LinkedIn account but that too fell on deaf ears.

Ordered a mix of plants, 2 Buddleia Flutterby Petite Tutti Fruitti Pink - Dwarf Buddleja @£15-99 each. 1 of the Buddleija was acually dead and a weed growing in its place. the other was no better. Contacted company 3 times via there ticket chat. All three chats just closed. I was very polite when i contacted company. No contcat back from them. Wont use them again and would hope people take heed not to also.

I am giving Gardening Express 1 star, rather than 0 stars, purely for the fact that the plants eventually arrived. Quite a surprise that anything turned up. In the 8 weeks (24th April-18th June) between placing the order and receiving the order Gardening Express were: - Quick to take payment - Uncontactable - Not offering any way to cancel - Writing generic excuses for delays whilst still taking more orders Now the plants have arrived and are much smaller than I ordered. It'll be a miracle if they grow well and turn into the plants I ordered 2+ months ago.

Waited months for my order but was prepared to be patient in view of the current situation with Covid 19. However, I did expect to receive a plant in good condition when it finally arrived- not so, it bears no resemblance to the one described online which showed a healthy looking mediterranean fan palm in a terra cotta pot with loads of branches. The one I received appears to have a white blight on it, the leaves are brown and yellow and it is one weedy looking stem in a plastic pot. As another customer has posted - nothing but a rip off!!! It was not cheap either!

SHAMEFUL COMPANY - DO NOT USE!! Ordered £170 of flowers on 20 April - after raising tickets and trying to get hold of anyone - arrived 27 June (!!) and all tiny compared to description and very limp and dead looking. Thinking of contacting Martin Lewis as it must be illegal to trade like this!!

Ordered plants in April and they arrived from the middle of June in Sri a and drabs. All poor quality, broken, dried up. And still waiting for £20 worth of the order. A ticked placed nearly 2 months ago has had no reply. They’re robbers who took advantage of a crisis.

Plants arrived and I refused them after 2 months of waiting. Contacted Citizens advice, and was told to send an email quoting my rights. Rang my bank and had to send all communication proof both from myself and them. Wish I had never seen this company online. Now awaiting results from the fraud department in my bank

Ordered first set of plants 5.5 weeks ago and still nothing. Stupidly I made a second order at the beginning of June so it will be Christmas before they arrive I would expect. They should stop taking orders until they have cleared the backlog like other responsible companies do, rather than keep taking orders they cannot fulfill and keep your money for months on end!! I have asked for the order to be cancelled if they cannot send this week but still heard nothing. I am going to contact the credit card company and report them if nothing is done.
