I ordered 20 plants. Two were dead. I emailed and enailed the company for replacements and was ignored. I am so glad I didnt have a bigger issue because I don't think they will ever respond. If you hand over money to a company with terrible customer service/ mo phone line you are taking a huge risk. I will mot use them again. Please avoid.

I've used GE for years and spent £100's; I've had the occasional dud but they always refunded on receipt of photographic proof. Not any more! I received an acer in very poor condition in May. A couple of standardised emails directed me to their return process (at my cost), then I was ghosted. I've sent 4 follow up emails and not had the courtesy of a reply to any of them. Will never use again. Shockingly bad aftersales, discourteous and arrogant

You should be ashamed of yourself for running such a substandard business, your customer support is non-existant. I placed an order for £700 of plants almost a month ago, still no update on the status! Can't even see an option for a refund! STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!

I have complained about hebes and roses which have failed to develop. I have used their contact service several times but they have completely ignored me. I despair. It is a dreadful shame because I have received lots of good plants in the past.

Trees arrived covered in fungus. Customer service is non-existent. Eventually resorted to a court claim to get our money back but they didn't respond to that either so now the bailiffs are on their way.

My experience with Gardening express has been terrible. I purchased a number of plants in towards the end of August for around £69. The plants arrived in damaged conditon. Poor standard, weak and some were withered. I raised a complaint via email. Until now received no acknowledgement. I find it very strange for an online company not to have contact telephone number. I would advise any customer looking to purchase from this company , stay well away. Btw, it is a nightmare asking for a refund.

Terrible quality plants, terribly packaged to the point of damaging the plants and a customer care team who don’t care. Avoid at all costs.

So the plants turn up broken in half looking almost dead theses one leaf hanging on each plant been in touch with the company and wasted my time I sent them photos but they wasn’t happy I repotted them as it removed there labels I promise I will never in my life deal with them again 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Supplied old, dead and broken plants after waiting and chasing for 2 weeks. Very disappointed & they want me to pay postage to return them with no guarantee of refunding me the postage

I spent £50 on two hydrangeas which died within weeks of being planted despite good care and healthy hydrangeas in both my front and back gardens already. Avoid this company.

Disaster ! 59.99 for an xxxl hydrangea. ! Arrived with large area of dead crown, with a few 6 inch shoots at the edges, full of stinking stagnant water, barely any root and 20litres of dripping compost which had pretty much dissolved the transport box. Customer service assured me this was fine , I just had to wait for it to recover ( as if by magic I assume ). I waited DAYS for that response. Returning it is a nightmare, there’s no email address or phone number for the courier so it stalls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

Delivered dead plants and customer services have failed to respond to correct the issue. Order also took over a month to be delivered. Don’t waste your time or money with this company

Terrible product and worse customer service: I ordered a plant which was supposedly graded A1. When it arrived it was dry, brittle barely any leaves, very different to the picture on the site and what I would expect from A1. I have reached out twice to them and no response at all. I would maybe spend the extra and go to your local garden centre and choose something of quality.

I order 10 Echinacea plants. They were packed horizontally but the box was delivered vertically. The plants were therefore crushed and 8 were either dead or had no chance of surviving. I took photos, made a report and asked for replacements. I have waited a week and have had no reply. Their guarantees seem worthless. A will go back to Crocus for online plants in future where the products and customers service are both excellent.

I would give zero start. plants arrived dead, zero customer service. ha dto claim refund thru my bank. took almost month to deliver but anyway there was nothing to rescue.AVOID

sadly i should have done more research before buying. order was simple for two trees supplied bare rooted. they were poor quality one a simple twig. both were planted the same day in large fresh composted tubs. neither shows any signs of life after many weeks. reached out to cutomer support with pictures and no response ... have just tried again and left this review in the hope someone will take note - buyer beware .. use your local garden centre where you can the plants and don't be tempted by glossy pics and 'low prices' the stuff supplied was rubbish

Ordered some Hebe plants and a selection of flowering heathers. Most of the plants arrived in a dead or near dead condition. Complained via email with photos, etc. They wanted more photos despite me sending clear ones the first time and an image of the packing list. No heard nothing despite repeated follow up emails from me. Plants originally arrived at end of June 2025 and now 6 weeks later and no refund. Do not use them. I will not buy from them again
