Ordered 2 Daphne shrubs on the 13/6/23 total cost of £56.89. Two very small plants arrived in very poor condition, and one was dead within a very short space of time. I have tried contact via e mail and registered post with no reply at all. Shocking quality and customer service. Do not use this company.

Purchased lavender plant as gift on 1st September and recipient received it on 13th September. She sent a photo and it doesn’t look much like your picture which I ordered from. It stated 7-10days in high season but this is September. Very poor service but it looks like I am not alone. There’s nowhere on Gardening Express site to communicate with anyone.

I made an order under #601706027 for 4x plants and only 3x arrived. Delivery took ages with little communication. I have been chasing the additional plant for around 6 weeks now on the contact page, emails and instagram. Not one reply! I’d never use them again, absolutely poor communication and service.

After 2 weeks from order, I had what can only be described as a twig delivered. I was supposed to get a plant full of buds and flowers (and yes it was in season) but definitely did not receive what was described. I'm not even sure if the twig is alive. I have filled out the online form and emailed them with pictures and absolutely no reply. You can't comment on Facebook, you can't use Resolver as they don't have any communication set up with this company, there is no telephone number and seemingly they completely ignore all emails and their website does everything possible to elude all contact with customers. Absolutely disgusted with the product received and zero customer service. I do not know how this company is in business and I would strongly urge anyone not make a purchase from them.

No Customer Service at all - numerous emails have gone unanswered. Only 2 of the 6 bare root roses I purchased are alive.

Oh, how I wish I'd read these reviews before using this company... I'll never use again & would advise others to avoid. Circa £40 spent on plants; *two weeks* after ordering, they arrived... All crammed into one box, crushing each other. One is diseased and dying, another simply dying... and the remaining ones have unfortunately been neglected so much, they're unlikely to ever succeed. There's barely any foliage, let alone flowers. These are not fit for purpose and could not be further from the standard of plants advertised on website. I contacted them immediately on receipt (via website, as no phone!) I've emailed 3 times... Not a single reply. Detailed photos were provided... WHAT A SCAM 😢

I have had the same rotten experience as other customers. They give a fake guarantee as when you contact them via email about a dead plant they don't respond. The contact us page on their website doesn't exist. They don't have a phone number either. I will never shop with them and am blocking their emails from now. All their marketing magazines are going to be binned.

I ordered 3 x large plants for c. £90 and they are all terrible - small and in bad health. No reply to my email with photographs or to the online contact form I sent (I've waited a week and nothing). The plants are too tall to be returned by carrier and you can't return in person. My review of the plants on their website has been removed.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I have emailed twice, asking for advice re care of an acer plant they sold me. I then sent a reminder via their website. Nothing! They don't offer a phone number. What can you do? I realise they may have no gardening know-how to share anyway and are obviously unwilling to lift a finger if it does not involve a further immediate sale. Will avoid them studiously in future.

Ordered 2 magnolia trees in April.Both arrived without labels,one had green leaves and looked fine the other one was brown and looked dead.So I did a bark sample as advised and it was BROWN!! Since then I have sent numerous e mails but have had no answer.No telephone number to contact them ,our ridiculous is THAT!!!!!!! I definitely will not buy from them ,again,maybe cheaper,but terrible service.With each e mail sent photographs.

I'll tell you what went wrong.You cheated me.You took my money for 10 plants of one type and sent me two.you took my money for two cypress trees and sent neither.You have no customer service.You are defrauding the public and you are conning people out of money .You are rotten to decent people honestly putting their faith in you. In short you have become a lying dishonest company which defrauds decent trusting members of the public.

Dreadful customer service. Contacted them by email about a problem with my order as it’s the only way they communicate with customers; what type of company doesn’t have a phone number. Still not heard a thing from them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Avoid! Variable quality plants arrived late and most of the plants were damaged. The tips of straggly osteospermums crushed in packaging, flower heads of agapanthus having lost numerous flowers and seed heads, two stalks broken and two plant pots cracked by the force of whatever had happened reaching me. I ended up with one agapanthus plant with a number of shoots, if some just stalk head tips, and a second with one surviving shoot. I can't use either the osteospermums or agapanthus for what I have in mind, but will have to put them in a less visible spot, nurse and hope they are recover next year. The customer support was dire. No apology for the delay in delivery, which was more than stated (including busy periods), and told "These are alive and healthy and we would expect them to flourish in their new environment". But what do I do meantime whilst the plants recover? That's when the shutters came down and discussion ended with restating and restating. There seemed no recognition or acknowledgement - a bit like the Little Britain sketch, "computer says no". I won't be shopping with this company again. I'd not been completely happy on previous occasions, the variable quality, poor packing, but this experience has convinced me to go elsewhere in future. The prices are on the high side for online, delivery cost ditto, quality variable, and if anything goes wrong, customer service.....computer says no!

I ordered 5 Kniphofia and relied on the picture that they were the same. I wished I'd read these reviews beforehand. They arrived in the same bag, so I do not know which plant is which. I have (I think) 2 healthy plants if I'm lucky and the bag they were in was positively putrid, so I can't see any of the plants surviving - they were just the roots which have gone in 2 pots together. There is no contact by phone with this company, neither do they answer the queries raised on their website. I wouldn't order from them again, nor would I recommend anyone else to do so. They retain the money but I feel this is obtained illegally.

I ordered plants to the value of some £46 on 25th May 2023. When they had not arrived 2.5 weeks later I contacted GE and was told that they had been delivered on 13th June. An email was subsequently sent to me with a photograph taken by their courier showing the box left within a basement area. It was NOT my basement which fact I reported back to GE, offering to send them a photo of my basement if they wished to see what it looks like but I received no reply. I've been emailing them regularly since then and, again, have yet to receive a reply. It is now 24th July, 2 calendar months since I placed my original order, and all I have to show for it is proof of payment made to/taken by Gardening Express but NO plants. This firm's Customer Service is non-existent, tonally appalling as is the fact that they do not have a telephone number a customer can use to reach them. Do think twice, if not three times, before ordering anything from Gardening Express - far better to purchase from the RHS which is an exemplary supplier.

Hi all, like the other reviews I had dead, decapitated, destroyed, or damaged plants delivered and no response via the only form of communication (email). Help is at hand because as an internet supplier they are bound by strict rules. So if you have received an incorrect, damaged, or poor quality order and Gardening Express are not responding to your concerns you have a right to refund. As they are internet only I suspect everybody pays by card (credit or debit), so contact your card provider (bank ?) and raise a "Transaction Dispute". You will need details of the order, date of delivery, copy of correspondence and photo's of your delivered item (and if you can copy the photo of the product as advertised on the web site. Not sure if there is a time limit, but try it as it worked for me. Lack of response does not mean you are helpless - perhaps if enough people claim a transaction dispute, Gardening express will realise that Customer Service is essential. Good luck.

Placed 2 orders with this company, value of each over £70. Last delivery had Kniphofia bulbs x 5 which were withered, slimy & smelled stagnant - certainly won't be thriving anytime. No response from multiple emails. Can't complain about quality of previous trees & plants, but certainly won't be a returning customer.

DANGER (SCAM) Thay will take payment, then that's it. You can not contact them. They have all your card details. Your order will not arrive, and if you are lucky enough that something will arrive weeks and weeks later. It will be dead.

Incorrect delivery sent much cheaper plants instead. Trying to contact them is hopeless. No phone number never reply to chat , emails, messaging. Basically they ignore you once they’ve taken their ££. I’m not giving up though!! Avoid them
