Exochorda macrantha The Bride £15.95. So not a cheap plant but looking at a photo of this on the website I thought it would be well worth it. Oh dear - what I got was a bent stick. I did raise a complaint but all they said was that it was alive! Then closed the case. I am not happy at all. I will not be using Gardening Express again. First photo is from their website and the second photo is what I received. Goodbye from a long standing customer.

Further to my previous review and the overwhelming negative reviews on this site I have real concerns over the average score this company has been given on another well known review site it leads me to believe that some of the reviews are fake.

Disgusting company AVOID AT ALL COST‼️ What an absolute joke of a company my primulas arrived today and half of them were snapped off dead and had been de headed also bugs on them. No phone number to contact them only a robotic chat after a long lengthy time of actually speaking to a human Cassie and Tia I got told to send pictures which I did and then got a reply that my flowers were healthy and I wouldn’t be getting a full refund and if I wanted a full refund was to send the plants back in a box! I am literally fuming and I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from you again! Stay well clear from this rip off garden company. No refund nothing!

I wish I could give 0 stars, completely disgusted with my order, I ordered 2 pairs of rose trees, only received 1 pair, went backwards and forwards for 3 weeks trying to resolve the issue, I was originally told that the second delivery would follow, it never came and I’m left out of pocket with no rose trees at all because the 2 that did come have died. Please think twice about making an order !

I have ordered several times and always happy with the plants. They are well packed and arrived at the time stated. If you order at the wrong season then you will wait, but I knew this, so not a problem. I have just ordered some dwarf fruit trees and in doing so came across all these negative reviews. A bit shocked, hope my trees arrive and are healthy like previous orders. These reviews could ruin this company, I would not have bought if I’d seen them first. Just hope not exaggerated as small business are finding it tough enough. Well done Gardening Express on my purchases so far and I really hope any satisfied customers take the time to post good reviews. I think reviews may be only posted when bad, and the dozens of happy customers don’t think it is necessary

AVOID GARDENING EXPRESS AT ALL COSTS....DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE DREADFUL QUALITY OF TWO STANDARD ROSE TREES ..... LOOKED TOTALLY DEAD ON ARRIVAL BUT BOUGHT NEW COMPOST AND PLANTED WITH FINGERS CROSSED. FAILED WITH EVEN THE GRAFT JUST SPLITTING AND BLOWN AWAY. STANDARD EMAIL REPLIES FROM THEM SAYING THEY WERE PASSING COMPLAINT ONTO RELEVANT DEPARTMENT. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR NEARLY 6 MONTHS !!!! SENT EMAIL COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO ASKING HOW, AS A COMPANY, THEY CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT....... NATURALLY NO REPLY AND HAVE JUST GONE INTO MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM WHERE I CAN VIEW ALL THE EMAILS AND GUESS WHAT ........ THEY HAVE DELETED THEM ALL. HOW IS A COMPANY ALLOWED TO TRADE JUST KEEPING CUSTOMERS MONEY ????? HEARTBREAKING TO HEAR OF SO MANY LEGAL, HARD WORKING BUSINESSES HAVING TO CLOSE BUT THEY CAN KEEP ON TRADING ??????

We placed an order of £140.. Took months to arrive via Yodal.. First package arrived all dead except the two parms.. Second package arrived A WEEK later and expectidly dead.. Yodal driver just shrudded his shoulders.. Raised a ticket, send pictures.. Told them I wanted a refund NOTHING!!!! I'm an hour away from Chelmsford so will give them a visit and thank you for stealing my money. Where are TRADING STANDARDS when you need them..

I have never come across such a disastrous buy ever!,,I would’ve definitely applied for a refund but reading the reviews I would be wasting my time!,,2 months wait for broken and dead plants!,,Why don’t you care about your customers?I did write a review earlier I really am in shock.I thought I had received somebody else’s order.I have added pictures.I would like you to show my 1st review.I am always satisfied with my buys and I am not a fussy customer so why do you send dead plants out.There are no flowers on any I have been sent.Please show earlier review!,,,

I ordered three shrubs on 9th May 2002. 22 days later I have still not received them. My email response was blocked. The telephone was 'no longer in service'. I heard a damning report on Radio 4 yesterday and wonder what my next stop is. Please don't order from them. It is so upsetting.

Avoid at all costs!!! Pictures show my 10 piece hosta plant offer which I received after waiting patiently for 5 weeks ! I have 4 living out of the 10... Disgusting.

Gardening Express has not made me happy, I have already scored them 1 given that I ordered on 19th April last as a birthday present for 10th May and on my last review the item had not been sent. However today 3rd June the order has finally arrived. A Magnolia Stellata which I expected to be DOA. How it has managed to survive I don't know, given that Hermes have had it since 27th May and it has finally arrived although a bit battered ( it looked as if it had been upside down at some point) today 3rd June. However although |I have raised their score to 3 given the condition of the plant and the Covid-19 problems, they really need to sort out their customer relations and communicate with people and answer their e-mails etc. All I can say is thank goodness our local garden centres have re-opened!

I wish I’d seen these reviews before placing an order with Gardening Express. I’ve waited 7 weeks for my order which still hasn’t arrived and it’s almost impossible to contact this company. When they do eventually get back to you it’s with a standard email that wasn't even relevant to my issue and they couldn’t offer any assurance that they would deliver my order. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DON’T BE FALLED BY THE SOB STORIES OF BEING ‘A HARD WORKING FAMILY WHO ARE STRUGGLING THROUGH THE CRISIS’. They simply take your money and don’t deliver or communicate and I now know others that have experienced the same problems as me.

I've order few plants at mid Apr 2020 and now at beginning of Jun 2020 still don't have them. I've asked for my money to be refunded and their reply was to send me again my invoice and the that my order is still in process. They've withdrawn my money few hours later I press the order. The company doesn't have a telephone number to call and they answer to emails days many after. Terrible company and they way they run the business - wish I had read other reviews before using them.

I have been waiting 6 weeks for my order, there is no phone number to call so I am unable to speak to anyone to find out what’s happening. No reply from emails or raising a “complaint ticket”. Absolutely appalling to leave customers like this with no communication regarding delays. There Live chat has also been down!

Order arrived eventually 23 May 20. Terrible condition, looks like a dead weed! Just not fit for purpose! Have sent e-mail with photos but no reply over a week later. Now tried to raise a ticket but have given up after four unsuccessful attempts. (Order no. 600527270)

Same old story, however I had a glimmer of hope when I received an email stating part of my order had been shipped with Hermes. After a week, I contacted Hermes who informed me they had never received my plants from GE. I ordered on the 10th April, today is 31st May and still nothing except the automated emails. I’ve raised three tickets and nothing. I think it’s a cheek that GE can update their twitter feed daily but not reply to customers. Disgraceful, greedy company who have broken their own terms of contract. Buyer beware

Order initially placed 5/4/20 and money taken immediately. Plants eventually delivered 28/4/20 and were mostly dead. They had initially removed the function to be able to contact customer service, this has since been reinstalled but I am still awaiting a reply from 2/5/20. Incredibly disappointing quality and service. It would appear that comments left on their social media page which raise concerns such as mine are deleted or the user is blocked. I appreciate it is an incredibly difficult time for all businesses at the moment, but others have sensibly halted orders while they catch up on delivery and customer service queries.

I placed order on 10th april no plants and no answer to email standard reply 2 to 4 weeks delivery its know 6 weeks my email has not even been read but my money has gone into their account I think we need to speak to trading standards
