like most customers i have received empty promises of despatch, so then i demanded a refund & so far no response, today i sent a stronger worded email & hopefully this will get a positive answer. I suggest everyone contacts them & informs them under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you are entitle to a full refund if something arrived later than promised. If there's no specified date for delivery, then it must be with you within 30 days of ordering. This company needs to be closed down so crippling it financially is the only way- avoid this company like the plague

I've heard the owner has to get on his horse and round the plants up with a lasso, the absolute cowboy.

Just don't buy from these people. Very poor quality plant sent by friends as a birthday present. No response at all after many attempts.

Ordered to supposedly standard patio roses which were supposed to have an overall height of 80 cm. They eventually arrived the overall height from the soil to the top of the plants is barely two feet. It would appear they consider the overall height to be including the pot which is silly. Having spoken to another major rose supplier they typed is usually designated from the top of the compost to the overall height of the foliage. I have had some communication back but it now seems to have dried up turns out these were two miniature patio roses very young and with very tiny leaves and will have very small flowers not as shown on the website. I see today they have taken £10 off and the advert on their website is just the same. So my recommendation is you get what you pay for which in this case was not very much I would not recommend them

delivers very little . Their marketing is excellent their producgts are poor . 11 emails numerous calls (all chargeable by the way ). Products I ordered 6 items so not a small order . They arrived a month late in a distressed condition . Would NEVER buy from them again . Even if it were free .

Terrible company, no plants or customer service, they just offer cheap plants they can't supply and take your money and ignore you. Avoid at all cost.

REFUND REFUSED. Plants eventually arrived wilting in pots too dry. Most of them recovered after watering and planting out but two didn't. Just shriveled and disappeared. Have been in correspondence for weeks under their guarantee asking for a refund and they keep asking for photos. I keep telling them there is nothing left to photo. They now say that they won't "help". Avoid!!!

Ordered in April under delivery as normal in 2 to three days. After 7 weeks advised my Visa card as impossible to get in touch with these #### people. They blocked reviews on review sites. Just received full refund on Visa card so advise everyone to stay clear

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been trying to cancel my order with them as all I get from them is emails saying they're delayed and not to contact them as they are busy! Emails go unanswered, they have taken down their online chat service, their online contact form results in a pop-up saying 'disabled' and they give no phone number. I decided to send a recorded delivery letter so that I could ensure they received it. They got it alright and someone called CV19 signed for it not clever at all. If they do not issue a refund I now have good evidence of how appalling they are to contact my bank for a charge back.

DO not deal with this company unless you have money to burn.Waited weeks for plants, they arrived last week,clematis brown,almost dead-it is now.Rest of plants so badly damaged,will follow clematis into the compost heap.No point in chasing up refunds.Just avoid.

Wish I had read reviews before I ordered - waited weeks and weeks for order that still hasn’t arrived - requested to cancel and have refund twice so far but this has been ignored. Dreadful company dreadful customer service. A total con.

If I could give zero stars I would! Absolutely disgraceful company - only way to describe them is a bunch of con artists! Stay clear of them at all costs! They will happily take your money, but after that do not expect any form of communication. I waited over 2 months for my £150 order and when the plants finally arrived they were severely damaged or dead due to the atrocious packing by the company. Despite my photographic evidence they have refused to acknowledge my request for a refund. I don't expect to ever see that money again.

dreadful service, plants were poor and not as ordered, no one replies to anything, passed to my card company to get them to refund as given up trying to deal with this company. They appear to make a habit of sending out poor quality or dead plants and then making it so hard to get a refund or even an answer from them. Avoid like the plague.

This company and the customer service is absolutely atrocious. While taking into account there have obviously been difficulties with deliveries over the Covid period this company took nearly 3 months to deliver the plants I ordered and when arrived the plant was absolutely atrocious. Out of four plants one was ok. I immediately wrote to the company in April and now in July have still not had a response or offer of any refund. Do not buy any products from this company. Other companies during this period have delivered plants safely and given good customer service if there have been any problems. This company just ignores you and it is so totally frustrating but I will never ever deal with them again. Unfortunately it’s not possible to give a zero star review.

Utterly, utterly dreadful: received a box of dead plants over eleven weeks ago, and still no refund. You can only raise a complaint with then via their support site, which essentially wastes your time: my first complaint was deleted without response. My second complaint, from seven weeks ago, has yet to be answered- it was "escalated" within one hour, but there's been no further movement. Receiving a box of dead plants is one of those things that sometimes happens. Receiving a box of dead plants and not being able to receive timely support? That's shoddy customer service that has nothing to do with the current situation, I am afraid. It's just a shame that consumers can no longer raise issues with retailers direct with Trading Standards, as Gardening Express deserves a thorough investigation into its extremely poor business practice.
