Could be a worse company to buy from. As bad as a scam.

Fraudsters, do not use this company, I ordered and paid for plants in April, looks like I will not be getting them now, after very many attempts to contact the so called company via support tickets ( the only way they will allow you to contact them) and by recorded delivery letter which they sent back opened saying the offices are closed due to covid! They will not engage with you so they can keep your money- shame on them, I have raised it with trading standards. This company doesn't seem to care as I have now read similar reviews from 2018- how can they still trade?

Will not respond to my emails. What a load of tossers. I cannot recommend them. Avoid if you know what's good for you

Wish I had come here first! ordered plants in April, waited weeks, when they did arrive, (late June) they were dead and those that weren't were sticks with brown leaves attached, no tags, no idea what they are apart from the half dead Gardenia! I have emailed, sent photo's, raised tickets to no avail! I think after reading another review here I will contact my credit card company.Spent over £100 with them! FRAUDSTERS AVOID!

This company is acting fraudulently. I wish I had read the reviews here before wasting my money. The only department working well is the one that takes your money within hours of you placing your order…shame the rest of the company fails miserably!! We placed our order in April and are still waiting…we have requested a refund via their ticket system, but our request is repeatedly being ignored. This is probably because they are spending their time creating their own 5 star reviews…SHAMEFUL behaviour In my view this company is using the Covid situation as an excuse to take money from customers and not supply the goods.

The clematis was almost dead. It was just a thin stem with a few dead leaves. Could not revive it. I had waited ages...what a rip off.

ing numerous messages they haven't got back to me. The clematis was no more than a dried stick with about 5 leaves and those leaves were brown and damaged. I put the plants into compost in the hope they might revive but they didn't. The plants are dead. In my view this company is using the Covid situation as an excuse to take money from customers and not supply the goods.

Several of the plants I ordered were dead or in such bad condition they died within 24 hours. There was one plant missing from the order. In addition to this the plants were considerably later arriving than had been promised. I have been trying to get them to answer my complaint for nearly a month now but I am still awaiting a proper response. as requested I included photographs of the plants to back up my complaint. Sadly you have to give at least one star. I would much prefer to give them zero. Not only for the plants I received but also for the way they have treated me. It seems such a shame that in this difficult time, when gardening is such a therapeutic activity, that a company like this takes advantage of people by taking their money and giving no customer service support. At this moment in time this is not a company that I would recommend anyone doing business with. Clearly the way the company performs is down to the leadership/owners of this company and it is equally clear from my experience so far that they are not well led.

Thieving company that sends out dead plants. No customer service No decency No respect Just a symbolic company stealing money from the public. Avoid this company at every cost

Please, please read the reviews, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! they are an absolute disgrace, i do not even want to give them a star but I have to, to add this review. I ordered £80 worth of plants on the 14th April, received no notifications until May when I received an email saying ALL plants were to be dispatched shortly by Hermes, I received 1 part of my order, well 1 part of what should have been my order of 10 succulents, what I actually received was 8 battered & squashed succulents, 1 plant pot containing compost and a dead root and one empty plant pot! the rest of my order to date as still not arrived, like previous reviews I too have raised tickets as there is no way of contacting them by telephone to no avail. I have raised a claim through resolver too, but again this as hit a brick wall with the same generic email response each time. absolutely disgraceful!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID these SCAMMERS and THIEVES AVOID AVOID AVOID they are SCAMMERS and THIEVES BEWARE this company will take your money, but they won't send you your plants. Then when you try to contact them, they will ignore you completely...or if they reply, it's a standard response blaming COVID19. They should stop being greedy by continuing to take orders, until they have fulfilled the ones like mine, purchased back in April. I placed an order on 17th April and it still hasn't arrived. I have sent numerous emails and got my bank involved, but still no plants. I sent a letter by recorded delivery on 20th May, to ask for a refund, but it has just been returned, with a label stuck on it saying return to sender as they have CLOSED due to Covid19. This has to be the worst run company ever...ripping so many people off by taking their money, not providing what was purchased and then ignoring them. I wish I had read the reviews before handing over my hard earned money

I would give lower than 1 star if possible. We waited months for plants, which was expected given the current situation, but when they did arrive, we received less than half of our order, with no indication as to where the rest of our order is. Our money has been taken (£190) and no sign of rest of delivery 12 days later, no apology or any explanation, except for a generic email when we tried to contact them through their website. Plants that have arrived are in no fit state to be sold and look nothing like photos on their website and arrived very badly packaged. The people running this business should be ashamed of themselves. If you cannot fulfil orders stop taking them! Unbelievably, it does appear as though some positive reviews on here have been posted by people that own the business!! They clearly have enough time to do that but not to respond to the many many unhappy customers. What a waste of time, energy and money.

Do not touch Gardening Express with a bargepole! Everything you read about them is true: 3 months delay, no access to customer service, emails ignored, half of order did not materialise, the rest arrived in pitiful condition, refund only processed once I got the credit card company onto them.

6 weeks of waiting, and when my order finally arrived it consisted of 7 utterly dried up, completely dead twigs (some broken off the root). I really cannot express how bad the quality of the experience has been at every step of the process, from attempts at contacting customer service through to the eventual arrival of the plants. Unbelievable.
