We have placed a few orders with this company, but on the last delivery the plant turned up DEAD, with a broken stem. We thought, that's a shame, but we thought the Company would put the problem right, but NO, two emails and not even the decency to reply. They have turned a Customer into a NEVER AGAIN Customer who has also told family and friends. All due to what should have been a simple problem to solve with normal Customer Service. Very low quality plants no value for money and horrible customer service that never responds Their guarantee policy is also a scam

They told me my (After ordering) that my plants would be 2 weeks. The first 2 arrived after 2 weeks and 2 days. Then nothing so I wrote to say I was going on holiday and as they had missed the deadline to either cancel or not deliver. I heard nothing. Then some days later while on holiday guess what - my plants were being delivered. On arrival home, the plants were dead inside cardboard boxes. I wrote 2 more emails and didn't have a response. Plants are also weak and small.

Its been more than 3 weeks and I haven't received my plant yet. There is no communication at all from them. It's abs useless. I am gutted that I didn't check the reviews before buying. Please avoid this company they are a scam.

My order took 3 weeks to arrive and when it did arrive completely the wrong plant had been sent. I tried to contact them to report this and ask for a replacement or refund but more than a week later I have not had a reply to my email. Very unsatisfactory. I will not be using this firm again!

I am very disappointed to make a negative comment, I bought a tree which unfortunately does not look like a tree but a stick. I have tried to contact them several times but nobody answers. A serious and respectable company does not behave like this, I would NOT recommend it to anyone.

Avoid at all costs, these are scammers. Send out dead plants with a letter saying they look like they do as been stored, but give them a month or two and they will be right. Guess what, they arent and then they give you the standard line of you are over 14 days

Don't use,they are basically thieves.two acers bought and within 3 months one was dead,they won't reply to me and no replacement tree even though there's a useless 5 year warranty

DO NOT GIVE THIS CO. YOUR HARD EARNED CASH! BUYER BEWARE - I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON! I recently ordered from Gardening Express because it's convenient. Order #601577535 Order Date: 29 April 2023 I spent £180 & received some low quality compost, 2 plastic tubs & a TEENY, HALF DEAD Palm! The Palm is so far away fm the picture or the size & quality it should be, it's honestly ridiculous! I'm MISSING 3 plants. I've now emailed them 4 times with NO RESPONSE at all. Contacting my bank now as this is nothing short of THEFT. I remembered too late that I had actually ordered fm these people a couple of years ago. The order then was unsatisfactory & response was nil, but I couldn't remember the details so thought I'd give them another chance. NEVER EVER AGAIN! I'm not one for reviews but I do hate being ripped off...& I don't want it to happen to anyone else, so pls be advised; DO NOT GIVE THIS CO YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!

Plants I’ve ordered have died. In fact they never grew in the first place. That’s not my issue as there is a guarantee. The problem with this company is communication. I’ve been following their recommend ‘contact us’ procedure and have not had a single response in 14 days. I’d advise avoiding this company until they sort out their customer support.

I had a complaint with the quality of the product and that it was 3 weeks delivery time. I was shocked with the response from the ‘customer care’ team and their return policy. I will not be spending money returning their shoddy products. Further to this I’ve raised a complaint, receive sarcastic emails and to escalate my complaint I’m asked to write a letter and send to their ‘customer care contact’ S-J. Who I’ve already been emailing!!! Im entitled to my money back and you can have your plants back. Awful experience.

I ordered 2 plants on 14th April and paid £6.99 for delivery, still nothing received. They have no phone number so can't speak to anyone! Just a stupid chat box online, but even that says someone will get back to me in 3-5 days! So frustrating! Go elsewhere!

I ordered and received 3 Sunningdale Silver Pampas Grass - Cortaderia selloana Large Specimen Plant. All 3 rotted in the ground. Every care was taken with them, they just rotted. I suspect they were dead when delivered, not dormant like they were sold as. No refund or replacement offered. 5 year guarantee only applies to a few select (if any) plants and you have to keep the label and return them as they came, who is going to keep the packaging and return a mush of rotted plant, especially after 5 years! What a joke. So you have to determine if your "dormant" plant is still alive within 14 days of delivery else your are out luck returning anything.

Placed an order value around £130…half the plants arrived….3 had no leaves on despite being evergreen! Made contact with their robot on line help desk….not interested Never received the balance of the order….just gave up as too stressful So for £130 all I had of any worthy were two Viburunum plants which I could have bought for around £20 each This I have since found out is an internet only set up company that works on the basic fact that no one actually does anything about this Should be closed down ….its an absolute disgrace as i am a pensioner on limited income

Customer Service dreadful....only a chatline is available. Gardening Express offer no guarantee and only accept returns within 2 weeks of delivery. This is unreasonable since it takes more than 2 weeks to establish whether a plant is healthy or whether it will fail. I spent just short of £90 for supposedly mature plants, they were not!! No replacement or credit offered so use a different supplier!

Awful customer service Ordered a Tricolour set of 3 clematis and the 3 plants that arrived were 2 purple and 1 white. The picture showed an array of different colours so I was very dissapointed. The online chat customer service bot was adamant that the 2 shades of purple were very contrasty and that the offer was for 3 different varieties. She refused to accept that tricolour meant 3 colours. Was told to send them back at my expense and they would consider a refund. The postage and packaging would cost more than the plants. Dreadful and arrogant customer service. Date of experience: 24 February 2023

ABSOLUTE SCAM COMPANY. Do not use. Terrible service and no phone line. Took weeks for them to get back to me and then they said it was too late and would not provide a refund even though I contacted them within 2 days of delivery. Plants were not as described and were dead upon arrival. I have lost a considerable amount of money. Customer service is horrendous. Cheap shoddy plants arrived which were no more than a few pence but they charged £40.00. ABSOLUTE SCAM.

This is a large pampas grass (advertised as a large plant) A fully hardy evergreen plant This is what £30 get you 5 dead butcherd stems 6 inch tall The customer service is appauling there is no phone number no email just one of those stupid live chat things that only operates a couple of hours a day when you do manage to leave a message on it it takes then 24hours plus to reply and they brush you off waited 12 months for this filled in an inform me when in stock request but never got any notification that it was back in stock only found out when i checked the site I suppose this is wht they mean by the statement we Gaurentee you will be happy with our plants
