“For a free, incredibly basic will it will do. Can’t beat the price after all. It’s very very limited in what you can do, no option to leave separate parts of your estate to different beneficiaries for example, just a percentage amount of the entire portion. You can gift certain items but it doesn’t quite get around the way it handles “estate” such as house if you don’t want a portion of it all just going to everyone.”

“Some fields required information that was not relevant like a 2nd executor or backup to leave a gift to. Also it would be better if a phone number could be added for the executor etc and not email, not everyone has email.”

“This was such an easy process. Very clear instructions, excellent guidance and so quick to do. I took advantage of this service after participating in the Black Dog Institute webinar which was also very informative. I am going away to the remote bush this week for a month and needed to act quickly. We will be back to do my partner's will on my return and tidy up any details we may have forgotten. Thanks!”

“I found the 'interview' process for collecting information to make a relatively basic will to be very thorough and clear. The explanatory notes at each stage are very helpful. What would be helpful is the ability to proof-read the entire will before it is 'completed' and notifications are emailed to the executors. Overall, a straight-forward process.”

“I felt the instructions were misleading. It seems necessary to donate some money in your will to a charity in order to get the free Will. Also wanted the email address of my executors.. Perhaps to gain more business? In the end I deleted cause it seemed like a scam. May not be, but it just felt uncomfortable.”

Hi Tracey, Firstly, there is no need to make any donation to a charity. You don't need to leave a charity a % of your estate. You don't need to leave a charity a $ gift. The will is free whether you make a donation to charity or not. Secondly, we ask for executor emails so we can notify them that they have been appointed with this important role in your will. We do not however share a copy of your will - you may choose to do this separately.
