No contact from them regarding a claim that had been put in from December 2018. When phoned up was greeted by a rude woman. Who had an attitude and was very harsh when she asked for my registration number as she never heard it. She then was giggling with other staff whilst on the phone with me. She then was speaking to me like i was a child when asking me why i had called. I asked if i could speak to another member of staff she said no one was available. I had to hang up. Really disappointed and disgusted with her behaviour.

They have now rang our business 30+ times. We've asked to be taken off their list but nothing has been done. Even if we were wanting a new insurer, there is no way we'd go with them.

I do not have another 41 mins to hang on the phone listening to how great you are, just to be hung up on as soon as it started ringing. If anyone reading this is contemplating suicide and just needs an extra nudge, just ring AXA claims line. Good luck

By far the worst insurance company I have dealt with in over forty years of driving. It has taken over 2.5 years to deal with a no fault claim and I am still awaiting a refund for paying extra for my last two renewals due to their incompetence at dealing with my claim. Redefining standards they have surely achieved, but not in a good way. If you want to be kept on hold in excess of an hour, listen to numerous automated options then given bad or conflicting advice, not kept up date, have to fight for everything use AXA.

I called claims department to get an update of a non fault accident against one of their insured drivers everytime i call im waiting atleast 45-60 mins before an answer. Today i was speaking to nikita davis and got nothing but attitude of her and wouldnt answer one of the questions i was asking her i asked her to transfer me to complaints department and she just hung up on me! Cant be bothered to call back cause of waiting times!

I had car insurance which cost £260 that I had to cancel 2 months in. They charged me £57 administration fee even their own website says "A cancellation fee of £35 may be charged, and a refund due if you've paid your premium in full in advance." where did the £57 come from!!!

Charging a customer too much for no reason. Company wants to make extra money any which way they can.

Had an accident which wasn’t my fault.. Axa handled the claim so badly it’s appalling. Their customer service is shocking and nobody wants to actually help. Had to constantly ring up to get updates on my car etc and felt like I did it all myself. Will never take out any type of policy again with Axa-avoid at all costs!

A friend has had to cancel holiday as cancer has returned after 6 years. Axa will not refund as it is secondary cancer. Disgusting treatment!

Just went to make a claim with AXA for a cancelled trip and apart from having to wait 4 weeks just for a response after chasing them they have had us jumping through hoops for a small claim which i have ended up having to give up on, have been with them for over a decade with only 1 claim for hospitilization in Canada 3 years ago, again a painful experience claiming back medical expenses then too, as my annual insurance is part of a Lloyds bank package deal, I am now not just looking to move my insurance but am also looking to move my business to a different bank as the travel policy is not worth the paper it is written on, therefore beware if your insurance is backed by AXA!!

This travel insurance is the worst thing EVER. You would be better off chopping your arm off in a travel emergency than using AXA. They A) give you misleading and incorrect advice from the outset. B) bounce you around for months C) do everything humanly possible to avoid paying you out D) conflicting information depending on who you speak to They are the definition of corporate greed and companies trying to screw hard working people so they can make profit. The worst company ever, putting us into a difficult financial position thanks to their slack behaviour.

WARNING - don’t insure with AXA. Not worth the paper it’s written on. They have zero ethics and have worked out a way to print money from conning people into thinking they are buying a true insurance policy. What you are buying is a simple ‘get out of paying’ policy and nothing more.

Be aware and stay away from this company. I was in involved in an incident over 12 months ago, simple case, no dispute, no injuries. The claim has still not been settled and now I have received a county court claim forms in the post! AXA don't want to know, impossible to get hold of anyone, being kept on hold over an hour every day only to be told the person who I need to speak to is not available and they would phone me back. Of course nobody has ever rung back despite me phoning them every day for a week now. As I cannot afford to make the payout myself I am expecting a CCJ to land on my doorstep shortly. All because Axa cannot do a simple job they are paid to do. It's disgracefull, please please do not ever take out any insurance with them.

If you just looking for an data to be appeared in insurance database and cheap(may be?), yes may be this is the choice. But a proper car insurance when you need it? NO!!! got hit and run by someone on 21/04/2018, still waiting to sort it out. Average Email reply time 4-8 weeks for a single question! Which it affected my insurance renewal, my family joint insurance, company insurance. DESERVE NO STAR. Stay away from them.

It started when I had to make a claim after someone hit my car. Trying to make telephone contact is atrocious, being on hold for an hour at a time and no one offers to ring back. Will not renew next year.

Cheaters. They create excuses everytime. This is the last time we insure our employees with them. Avoid AXA at any cost.

I made a minor £80 claim for the damage to a hire car tyre , the communications are appalling every message takes 5 days to be replied to, I could have walked to the offices and received a reply quicker, they claim not to have received documents when they have been sent , then require more documents which would entail speaking to car hire companies on the continent to get even more information . It strikes me that everything is designed to give them the opportunity to procrastinate over payment. I will never use this company again.

I DO NOT RECCOMMEND AXA!!! Myself and my partner went on holiday to Egypt this year 2018 we got the travel insurance myself and my partner are healthy as especially me as I'm a gym head. Even before we flew we both saw our GP's to get our shots. I don't have any medical problems and neither does my partner. We got there partner got ill first vomiting, headache the lot. We ended up going to the doctor in our resort and paid the excess fee of £95 he prescribed a meds but it didn't help it then got worse the same day we got the meds and we ended up going to the HOSPITAL! We were there for a few hours while they did whatever they called checkups and such, keeping in mind its around 2 in the morning now they have our insurance documents and passports. They told us they cant get through to axa it goes to an answering machine and they even dialled in front of us and it actually did go to an answering machine. We just wanted to get back to our resort and in a comfortable bed. But they wouldnt let us leave untill they got paid so I had to pay with my own money just over £1,500 just so we can leave. I was very annoyed and that seriously effected our holiday and my wallet. We got back to the resort finally next day we went to the doctor again so we can call Axa and let the doctor confirm stuff. The connection was terrible and the customer service then told us to contact them once we get back to London. We got back to London and made phone calls its been 2 months and all I'm getting is they need this document they need that document I've provided everything I could from the doctors to the hospitals receipts and even screenshots of my bank account. Also they are asking for a medical report from my partners GP and telling us we have to pay £80 for the report that they need. Why would I have to pay for that?! This is still ongoing and this is not right as they are at fault and I am £1500 out of pocket because there customer service was not operating. The customer service team is useless.
