Received our renewal, almost £100 higher. Explained that the costs of material and labour had contributed to the increase. Shopped around for an alternative, and only when I went to cancel with Axa they wanted to see if there was anything they could do to retain my business. Unfortunately, too late as already sourced a new deal.

Axa personal health insurance - awful experience. To put a claim I had to call, online facility was not available with my policy as I discovered! When signing for a policy the marketing material specifically promised online claims management, which if NOT true. So I had to on hold with AXA call centre, 5 days in a row, at least for 30 min at a time to be given a run around. 6 working days later, I am still waiting for the outcome of my claim. Every agent I manage to speak to, stated that they are looking into the claim. But no progress, they don't have records, they are busy etc. Misrepresentation and poor service, would not recommend AXA Health insurance to anyone

Hours wasted waiting in phone queues waiting to speak with someone. Absolutely terrible way to treat customers.

Rang for business insurance and spoke to a guy called Chris L. although informative he was getting very arsy with me to take the policy, telling me I wouldn’t get a better price and why wouldnt I just buy it now. When I said I would look at it against other quotes he started trying to pressurise me which completely lost my business and i went elsewhere. shame really as if he hadn’t of done that i might have looked at it in detail and chose that one. Now they will never know. One i chose was helpful and not pushy that got my business.

Had to make a claim as I was hit by an over seas HGV... I wish I paid for the repairs out of my own pocket. When other reviews say about sitting on hold for an hour onwards they are being deadly serious. When I reports a lorry had hit us not once was I ask if I or the family are okay. I was told at best it will take 9 months and I’ve lost my NCD although being fully comp. If they can’t get hold of the lorry’s insurance details although I have sent them over it will go down as a fault claim... I doubly I will receive my payout although they have my car. I doubt there are any decent insurance companies out there and it’s really put me off driving. Seriously stressed out over this and not been contacted once. Also WHEN you get through the claims team obviously don’t care and are rude. Only happy when they take you money...

Good price for my vehicle insurance but they refused to provide letter confirming my no-claims as a named driver. They claim that they only provide such letter for main driver. Apparently this is their policy. Would keep away if you are trying to earn some no-claims as a named driver.

Before taking out buildings insurance with AXA check that you are 100% sure what your drains are made of. If they are made of pitch fibre they WILL NOT BE COVERED by AXA which we have found to our cost. How you are supposed to know the composition of drains buried underground is beyond me but if in doubt don't use AXA. It's buried in the small print so be sure to check. You can check with them if you have any chance of getting through to them on the phone. I've spent over two hours on hold to them over the past two days and am currently 22 minutes on a hold trying to sort out another element of our claim which they have sent the wrong person to deal with. There must be better home insurance companies out there than this.

Everytime you change your car online there is an extra substantial charge whether the car is newer, older, bigger, smaller, more or less valuable. They take the opportunity to rip you off every time, I have 3 cars at a time insured with them which are initially competitive but soon make up for it with changes. If you do it by phone they charge another £50.00 on top of that. VERY poor service

Had a year's home insurance with AXA , which was OK price, can't comment on the service as we had no need to claim. But the quote for renewal came in at more than double the previous price. No changes in our needs, no claims - obviously just hoping I wouldn't check and just let it auto-renew. Sooo - I hit the comparison sites for a new deal with someone else - and up popped a quote from AXA which was around the figure I'd been paying in the first place - again, less than half the price I'd been quoted to renew. Taking that quote and going with them again as new business would actually have been cheaper than the policy I eventually took, but in all honesty, I wouldn't use them again even if it was free. Can't believe companies are still trying to pull this sort of bull....

Dont use this company. They dont cancel your policy when you ask them, hound you for cancellation fees and when you pay they hound you for more!

A driver ran into the back of me. He admitted liability. Spoke to AXA, asked to take my car to a garage 18 miles away for an assessment. To be fair to them, called back and requested repair company who collected. All fine. The courtesy car has been a bloody nightmare, the rep put the fear of god into me warning how much I would have to pay even if an accident wasn't my fault unless I took out additional excess waiver insurance. Cars not delivered or collected - despite the other insurance company confirming payment of everything I have endless hours on the phone, virtually sorted out my own courtesy car. Given that the accident was not serious and not my fault, the whole experience has been seriously stressful. The insurance was not that much cheaper to go through all of this aggro. In the past, have accident, garage collect car, leave courtesy car, car repaired, courtesy car taken away - simples - if you are not insured with AXA.

These people take ages with everything, their communication is very very very poor. Had an accident a week ago, still waiting to find out if my car is a write off or not, have been told both by different agents. Been asked to send them a photo of my licence for further check after they tried to put up my premium claiming I provided the wrong information on the policy (I did not), the address I've been repeatedly asked to send this to does not receive mail, although I tried sending it on 4 different occasions now, all I got in response was threats to cancel my policy if I don't comply. If you call their customer service, get comfy because you will be on hold for 40+ minutes after which it will just cut off with no reply. When they do call, they do it from a withheld number so if you have any further questions, you can't call them back. When they tell you they'll get back to you shortly, they mean maybe in a few days if you're lucky. Really not happy with this company, been a week, still don't know if I should be looking to buy a new car...............

Having a policy with Axa for about 2/3 years and 5 years NCD, thinking my policy would stay the same if not, be cheaper upon renewal. Little did I know, it was put up by £14 p/m when it was renewed. Because I didn't contact them in the first month when it had gone up, I now have to pay £55 to cancel it and go else where. My fault for not checking, yes. I set it to pay monthly so I have peace of mind. Feel ripped off to be honest.

Very misleading - I made a decision to go with Axa for my car insurance based entirely on the information that i was given over the phone. I explained the situation with my current NCB fully, i was then put on hold so that the adviser could speak to the NC team. She then came back and reassured me that based on what i had said, they could accept this. I then agreed to go ahead with the policy. Once my NCB documents were sent, i then recieved an email back stating that they could not accept my document, for the exact same reason i mentioned before setting up the policy, and asked for a further £350. This was a total waste of my time on the phone, both setting up the policy and using my 14 cooling off period. I am now waiting for my refund to be processed. I feel that i was mislead and was told anything in order for me to take the policy, in the hope that i would stay on and pay the extra.

Due to unclear communication from the outset, sales selling a product that was not fit for purpose and the extortionate rates for a vehicle that does not move I was left at best dissatissfied and am expecting further disapointment at completion of the year

I have been driving for forty years. Never made a claim. Never had an accident. Because I had my car of the road for one year. I lost my no claims discount. And had to pay a high insurance price. I am very angry about that.

Beware those with elderly parents. My stepfather of 92 ended his life paying circa £8000 a year for AXA health insurance and as far as I am aware he and my mother had not used in the 21 years they were married. Unfortunately at the end of his days when he needed it he didn't even know how to use it due to the onset of dementia. In 3 more years AXA would have drained him if all his savings and still he was too proud to speak of it although by this stage he was not aware. Now my mother cannot afford the cataract operation she needs and AXA will not pay out unless she continues with subscriptions she can now ill afford due to the above-mentioned. However to be fair AXA did pay his daily rate for the 2 weeks he was dying in an NHS bed.
