A driver ran into the back of me. He admitted liability. Spoke to AXA, asked to take my car to a garage 18 miles away for an assessment. To be fair to them, called back and requested repair company who collected. All fine. The courtesy car has been a bloody nightmare, the rep put the fear of god into me warning how much I would have to pay even if an accident wasn't my fault unless I took out additional excess waiver insurance. Cars not delivered or collected - despite the other insurance company confirming payment of everything I have endless hours on the phone, virtually sorted out my own courtesy car. Given that the accident was not serious and not my fault, the whole experience has been seriously stressful. The insurance was not that much cheaper to go through all of this aggro. In the past, have accident, garage collect car, leave courtesy car, car repaired, courtesy car taken away - simples - if you are not insured with AXA.

These people take ages with everything, their communication is very very very poor. Had an accident a week ago, still waiting to find out if my car is a write off or not, have been told both by different agents. Been asked to send them a photo of my licence for further check after they tried to put up my premium claiming I provided the wrong information on the policy (I did not), the address I've been repeatedly asked to send this to does not receive mail, although I tried sending it on 4 different occasions now, all I got in response was threats to cancel my policy if I don't comply. If you call their customer service, get comfy because you will be on hold for 40+ minutes after which it will just cut off with no reply. When they do call, they do it from a withheld number so if you have any further questions, you can't call them back. When they tell you they'll get back to you shortly, they mean maybe in a few days if you're lucky. Really not happy with this company, been a week, still don't know if I should be looking to buy a new car...............

Having a policy with Axa for about 2/3 years and 5 years NCD, thinking my policy would stay the same if not, be cheaper upon renewal. Little did I know, it was put up by £14 p/m when it was renewed. Because I didn't contact them in the first month when it had gone up, I now have to pay £55 to cancel it and go else where. My fault for not checking, yes. I set it to pay monthly so I have peace of mind. Feel ripped off to be honest.

Very misleading - I made a decision to go with Axa for my car insurance based entirely on the information that i was given over the phone. I explained the situation with my current NCB fully, i was then put on hold so that the adviser could speak to the NC team. She then came back and reassured me that based on what i had said, they could accept this. I then agreed to go ahead with the policy. Once my NCB documents were sent, i then recieved an email back stating that they could not accept my document, for the exact same reason i mentioned before setting up the policy, and asked for a further £350. This was a total waste of my time on the phone, both setting up the policy and using my 14 cooling off period. I am now waiting for my refund to be processed. I feel that i was mislead and was told anything in order for me to take the policy, in the hope that i would stay on and pay the extra.

Due to unclear communication from the outset, sales selling a product that was not fit for purpose and the extortionate rates for a vehicle that does not move I was left at best dissatissfied and am expecting further disapointment at completion of the year

I have been driving for forty years. Never made a claim. Never had an accident. Because I had my car of the road for one year. I lost my no claims discount. And had to pay a high insurance price. I am very angry about that.

Beware those with elderly parents. My stepfather of 92 ended his life paying circa £8000 a year for AXA health insurance and as far as I am aware he and my mother had not used in the 21 years they were married. Unfortunately at the end of his days when he needed it he didn't even know how to use it due to the onset of dementia. In 3 more years AXA would have drained him if all his savings and still he was too proud to speak of it although by this stage he was not aware. Now my mother cannot afford the cataract operation she needs and AXA will not pay out unless she continues with subscriptions she can now ill afford due to the above-mentioned. However to be fair AXA did pay his daily rate for the 2 weeks he was dying in an NHS bed.

I will not be renewing with AXA , Last year the renewal notice arrived by email so late that I had already purchased a new policy from AXA at a cheaper rate than the renewal that I eventually received. They then proceeded to collect payment from my account for both policies. After numerous emails I eventually had one refunded but was unable to print out the policy documents for the new policy as it would only allow me to print out the one that I cancelled. Almost a year later I still am unable to print off the documents that I had paid for. I would not recommend AXA.

axa is a poor provider in the way you get your documents, you have to download them yourself even though you tell them you are not computer literate. they are not interested they just want your money,. I will not go with tem again

Will not be renewing with Axa next time no matter how cheap the quote is. My ex partner was hit and involved in a non fault claim. 3 years later they are still penalising me for this. Insurance is based on risk and from my increased quote they are still charging ME extra for an accident I was not even involved in.
