We have been trying for 4 days to book a black box fitting and removal of a box with no success. Just been passed from pillar to post. Also updated insurance on Monday and paid exta money but still not got my policy. It's almost impossible to communicate with you!

Generally cheap, good insurance, however, communicating with an agent is difficult with the online chat service. Other than the chat service and lack of mobile communications, I have yet to have any issues with carrot.

Awful insurance, definitely wouldn’t recommend. - can’t speak to anyone over the phone, has to be a live chat which is no help & the live chat ends before any issues have been resolved - they are always threatening to cancel my insurance - better driver app has very inaccurate recordings - no help when required Carrot may be cheaper but I’d definitely pay that extra bit for another insurer next time.

The price of the insurance is amazing. The customer service can be a little confusing but it’s easy to get around after a few minutes

I can never get on the dashboard, I always have to call up, I am always resetting my password but this still never works. I got on once, it showed I had 3 red weeks which meant I was close to having my policy cancelled but when I telephoned they said my dashboard was wrong and they couldn't amend it themselves. I had a letter to say my policy was cancelled and when I rang up the black box had pinged me into fields next to the motorway, eventually they identified this and didn't cancel my policy, suffice to say I will not be taking another policy out with them.

They've always been straight forward with my insurance, I've always felt that If had any issues I knew how to contact them. when I had issue with my carrot wingman they replaced it straight away and made sure it didn't effect my policy. The agents are always polite and helpful.

Amazing prices in comparison to other companies for young drivers. When I first joined the customer service was a little frustrating, but has improved since.

I found carrot insurance to be a cheap option as I am a new driver and this can usually be quite expensive. However, I feel the description of each policy I.e. new driver and better driver need to be better as I was put under the better driver policy as I have had my license for 2 years even though I’ve had NO experience driving which the company state is needed to be under this one. Although the better driver is fine to use, it caused a lot of confusion for a new driver like myself. I also agree that communication needs to be improved. When you call it gives 2 options, 1. Make a claim 2. Installation of black box However, if you need neither of these then this is not useful and using the live chat can be hard as what I may have needed to talk about does not come as an option when the automated message appears when you begin.

I am very unhappy with the difficulty of communicating with Carrot. The live chat disconnects over and over again making it impossible to resolve any issues. I requested a call back due to this difficulty and I missed the call as I was at work and then the voicemail said to contact by chat again. I think the level of communication is a disgrace. Can someone call me please? I want to cancel my renewal. You should allow customers to pick up the phone and speak to people. Also my renewal quote is very high I've found a cheaper quote which reduced my premium by £350.00.

Love the weekly perks when getting into the green. Customer service standards have slipped since everything has to be done online. It is very difficult to get through and speak to someone. Used the online chat a number of time and have had a mix of experiences. My most recent experience on the online chat was very good though. The app does need updating as there is a road near my parents where the speed limit was increased from 40 to 50mph about a year ago but I get marked down for speed if I go at 50.

great customer service, always happy to help quick response and im not on the better driver app but having the dashboard I find it really helpful and helps me to thrive and be a better driver and get high scores really helps me stay focused on driving well, as you get a nice little treat each week also I would highly recommend for young drivers.

The better driver app isn't very accurate with time or location. Keep getting marked down for my usage and I only drive to work and home.
