Good value for money if you are happy to use a driving app and good with technology.A good way of ensuring safe driving . You need to be willing to use email to communicate with the company and arrange phone calls.

Nice and easy way of using bluetooth and your car so they can track what you do in your car. No waiting around for a black box therefore can start earning weekly treats instantly:)

Awful Customer Service. Contacted by email on their website to receive a response a few days later that this was no longer a form of contact. All comms must be done over live chat. When using the Live Chat Service it advises of a 5 minute wait time - this was over half an hour. Completely unhelpful customer service with regards to their app not correctly recording alerted journeys. Cancellation charges for policies are excessive to keep customers and with no level of service. AVOID

I am new to using this insurer and I have found it mostly helpful and straightforward. For a new driver all my queries have been answered efficiently and professionally via the online chat and there have been no problems. However, regarding getting in contact, when I tried to call only 2 options are given and then further options are very limited regarding what you want to talk about. The options do not always fit the automated ones which caused me confusion many times and I would have preferred to have spoken to someone over the phone to get a more accurate and straight answer. Other than this, customer service I have received has been good and I have not had to wait long to get through to someone via the chat.

Customer service is very heplful and prompt through live chat and prices are very reasonable, cancellation costs can be a bit steep but refunds are prompt. This is my second time using carrot as they have been the cheapest option regularly. My only issue is that the telematics app needs some tweaking as it doesn't take into account certain issues such as when the bluetooth device keeps running even after you have finished a journey.

I have been with Carrot insurance three years now and I’ve never had any complications. Throughout my first year they were very helpful when I wanted to change my cars mid insurance, this came at a small cost however wasn’t an over rated amount! Throughout my second insurance although I had a fee to pay once I started to run out of mileage, the young lad I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and understanding... prior to this the older gentlemen I spoke to was also very understanding when I explained I wouldn’t be able to pay it until a certain date due to being a student and was waiting on my loan. I’m just starting my third year of insurance with Carrot now and I haven’t had to do anything at all, they have done everything for me, I never had to mess around renewing and worrying about it, Carrot emailed me and automatically renewed my insurance with the approval that I wanted to renew! Being with carrot has made my first few years of driving stress free.

Policy as a whole is good just been very unfortunate with the wingman device as it doesn’t disconnect when you leave your car. I have found that it seems to track me going around work or supermarkets and other places I am. Once through to staff on the online chat they seem to be very understanding and helpful only once had an ignorant staff member who was not willing to try and help.

First off, the price is without question the cheapest I have found after hours of hunting around and calling several other companies, so for that it’s a 10/10 - I have only had to speak to the online customer service once since this policy has been taken out, it solved the problem temporarily so I’m currently in communication with them regarding the Better Driver App. As I qualified for the App rather than the Black Box I found fro the first 3/4 weeks of the app it worked perfectly fine, easy to use, simple instructions, and the weekly treats you can collect are decent and all relevant places I would shop. Further down the line with the app, it’s starting to show signs off weakness, it’s not recording my driving properly and sometimes not even registering I’m driving at all. Luckily when this happens your score stays at 0 so I’m assuming it’s a fail safe so you don’t get your policy cancelled and doesn’t go into the red. Overall the insurance is fine, the app could use some touching up and re-development but apart from the app, haven’t found any issues with the insurer at all! Would rate a solid 7/10 overall.

The cheapest insurance available, being my first policy of my own, only problem was trying to get in contact with a real person on the live chat, as the bot was unable to solve my issue, it took a while to reach a real person, but issue was solved immediately after contact with the real person.

Best Insurance company I chose, you get a fair price and if you drive well you get gift vouchers to spend. Although it’s a black box insurer I have never had an Issue with mine. Anyone looking for insurance this is the one for you, trust me!
