“Insurance policy was easy to take out and very cheap as it was my first car. However the smart miles black box I feel is unfair. Score continues to be low due to 'time of day' at which I'm driving, I very rearely drive after 10pm and never before 6am so don't understand how the score can be so low and not be going up. Other than that good for first time drivers.”

“The box can be a bit unforgiving (i.e it didn't like anything over a sloths speed for acceleration) but after a year my insurance dropped by well over half - (£650~) Can't complain.”

“Car insurance policies found to be very competitive for my elderly parents, particularly the premier service, which has a zero excess and includes basic breakdown recovery. Doing it through comparethemarket got the best price and the 2for1 cinema tickets and you never actually know if the topcashback sites will deliver their cashback. Downside - call waiting times to speak to operator were horrendous this week -around an hour to be answered on more than one occasion (but 0800 number so no cost), however I tested the claim line and this was connected immediately.”

“Website is terrible, Couldn't sign into my account, when I tried to sign up it said an account was already registered with this information and when I tried to reset the password it said the account did not exist. In addition when I changed car midway through the year they charged me much more than another insurance company would as they knew they could otherwise I would not get my 1 years NCB.”

“Good cover, had the black box installed. The dash for that is easy to understand. Little difficult to raise your score as Road type isn't included. But good all round.”

“No problems with the policy but this is my first car so I had a black box fitted. One of the criteria is Time of Day. Whilst I accept that accidents occur more at night, I work odd hours, and public transport is not an option. I score badly in this area and the only advice I got when I rang to discuss was to 'get a lift' or 'use public transport'; the very reasons I bought a car!! Also, agent was unable to explain how the scoring worked, which appears random a best!”
