Avoid avoid avoid , my car policy expired and they threaten you with email to pay 800£ for not continuing with them, when already I have a new insurer in place. They use some dodgy third party monthly payment provider Premier Credit who are equally dodgy not letting you go to new company after a year ! Absolutely disgusted , avoid !!! They will not send you your years no claims certificate after completion of a year , however many emails you send them. Absolutely disgraceful company !

Avoid avoid avoid , after 1 year of having their Ladybird Fresh insurance they don’t want to let me go and sending emails demanding 800£ for going to another supplier !!! I finished paying them monthly 2 months ago and now have a new policy with new company, still on policy renewal they are sending demanding emails titled : payment request !!! Absolutely disgusting , they are using a lot of third parties for their monthly payments - some dodgy Premier Credit company who is equally rip off !!!

Wouldn't even give them 1 star! Wish I had read some of the reviews before taking out the policy. I took a policy out from ladybird insurance on behalf of my 19 year old daughter after looking through comparison sites. It was not until after paying the deposit of £144 I realised my mistake. I was asked to upload 5 documents. Unfortunately I do not have much computer knowledge and was unable to do this without assistance. After 2 weeks I received a further e-mail asking me to upload further documentation. Unfortunately I was unable to do this and had no means of help as my daughter was on holiday. I called up and was told I would receive an email to assist me with the uploading. I was informed that if the documents were not sent they would cancel the policy. At that point I claimed I was unable to carry out the requests and would be better cancelling the policy. I was then informed that I couldn't cancel it on behalf of my daughter. It was accepted that Ladybird would be cancelling the policy on their own accord as I could not provide them with the documents. I later received a bill from Ladybird claiming I was due them a further £102 for administration costs. I fail to see how a company can charge so much money for administration costs when they expect the work to be done for them by the customer. At no time prior to paying the deposit was I informed that I would have to carry out the work they required. It is assumed that nowadays everyone has a computer and should know how to use them. I went with this company as it was lower in price than her previous insurance company. I have since returned to Admiral insurance where I had no issues whatsoever. I have learnt a lesson. It doesn't always pay to go with a cheaper company. What I thought I was going to save has cost me much more. I am absolutely disgusted with this company.

Unbelievable charged an extra £190 for an undisclosure speeding fine on my licence which wasn’t on it (they should see this as uploaded my paper licence onto their portal)....cancelled straight away!! And don’t bother buying online as they will take over half an hour to go over everything else with you. Don’t bother with them.

Absolutely awful!!!! Been with this insurer for around 4 years now, I have recently bought a brand new car which is over 10000 pound. I’ve just been informed that I cannot change vehicle on my current policy as the value of my new car is too high. Therefore I can’t do nothing about it other than cancelling my policy which will cost! And getting a new policy which will cost even more! And at same time loosing my years no claim. MISLEADING CUSTOMERS!!!!! I was not aware of this when taking the policy out which should have been clearly stated when taking a policy out in case of a new vehicle purchase!!!!

Please stay away. They are cheap but are not worth it. Staff are not very informative. They will not provide you inportant information and then use the excuse they did not know. I have lost more than 900 in 6 months.

Was not impressed with their service. Would recommend to use other insurance companies that are more interested in retaining their customers rather than lose them.

Terrible experience. When starting my policy I was honest, transparent about having 2 cars and a 5 year no claims bonus that was being used on another policy. I sent in all of my documents, after 1 month they contacted me saying that they would be cancelling my insurance in 7 days due to the No Claims Bonus being used on another policy. I told them this from the start and they gladly took my money which I paid in full and said it was all fine. Not only did they cancel my insurance, they have charged me a £75 admin fee AND 10% on the annual policy! The MD of the company didnt reply to any of my emails or calls and the Manager within the teams couldnt offer any solutions whatsoever and will still be charging me the fees stated above. Terrible service. Wouldnt recommend. I guess you get a cheaper quote from another company and you pay for it eventually - MORE THAN what I would have previously paid! My error. Wont be doing that again.

Dealing with this company was a joke from start to finish, poor information gathering by staff who were just reading from scripts including a manager who should have known better resulting in cover being cancelled after 4 days with no offer of solution and being charged an admin fee for the privilege!!!! cost me time and money, cover sorted with another company now cheaper and faster result, I will never consider or recommend Ladybird to anyone going forward!!!!

Poor attitude from call taker, rude and absolutely no use. Had to cancel after 2 days of cover at a cost of over £100. Plus 2 25 admin fees.. Pay the extra and go else where.

Can only comment on first phone call, to say I only wanted to pay I spent 30 minutes on the phone and half of that was on hold, I was so close to hanging up and choosing another company.

They charged me £55 to cancel my policy 2 weeks before it even started because they had me down as driving for 3 years instead of 2 years and so many months, the price went up by £200 once they realised. Absolutely livid.

Will never insure through Ladybird insurance again. Changed my car 3 months until the end of the policy, informed Ladybird and they said they would need to cancel it as the car was too expansive. I didn't receive an extra no claims bonus as I didn't finish the full year, onto of that they then took a £20 fee plus 10% charge and sent the remaining amount which I will hopefully receive shortly. I then searched for a new provider and Ladybird came up as one of the cheapest. Phoned them up and they said they're a broker etc etc etc. Will never use them again!!!

Really bad experience with car insurance. Very difficult to deal with (bombarded me with texts telling me to upload documents when I'd already provided everything). Then when I tried to add my son to the car insurance, told not possible so I had to find alternative insurance. I was then told that there was an admin fee of £75 to cancel plus they kept another £10 (not sure why). I would definitely not recommend and will avoid in future.

Really bad experience with car insurance. Difficult to deal with (endless texts asking me to upload docs after I had phoned and been told I had done everything). My son came home from Uni and I tried to add to the Policy, told not possible so found alternative insurance and phoned to cancel Policy (5 months left on Policy) only to be told that there was a £75 admin fee to cancel and that they retained another £10 (no idea why) and therefore only £14 to return. When I pointed out that £75 was outrageous as an admin fee to cancel I was told I'd agreed to this in the terms and conditions. I would definitely not recommend and will be avoiding in future.
