I had a problem with my online banking and so phoned up. Spoke to a person who raised his voice whist accused us of something. So we requested a Manager. We spoke to a Daniel in the Newport office who was exactly the same. He was not nice at all. I then wrote a complaint on their website and next day spoke to Eden Kane, who was better than the two before and put it in for a complaint. Next thing, we find out by chance that it had being taken over and they had not let us know. It had been taken over by a Amy Sharif or whatever the correct spelling is. During a conversation with her, she practically implied I was handicapped and asked about my Partners medical history, which is totally irrelevant to the situation. I have emailed the CEO but had no luck there as it seems they are just as ignorant and disrespectful as the rest of them. This morning we spoke to Thomas Montgomery in the Dunfermline office who backed this Amy up, which, in my eyes makes him as bad as her. We left it that someone will contact us back to hopefully sort this out. I can only imagine that this the way they'll sort it out is protect their staff, sweep it under the carpet and close my accounts as this is usually how they deal with things. I don't think they know how to accept responsibility for the actions of their staff.

Absolutely disgraceful, you put a block on payments leaving your account and they still allow it without refunding the money!! I shall be looking to open an account elsewhere.. This is not the first time this has happened and I'm sure it won't be the last!!

I've been with lloydsbank for now over 12 years and just over a half year ago I've found out that my account was miss sold to me when I first moved to UK. My English was very bad at the time and I just signed up to account with a monthly fee that would pay for car accident (I haven't got a driving licence) so clearly don't need that or a phone insurance (you could only claim that if your phone was registered with the bank) obviously at the time I had no idea about that and never registered any of my phones. Free account option wasn't being offered to me. When I've found out that I've been paying every month for services I couldn't use for obvious reasons I decided to make a claim and apparently I missed the deadline by few days. Prior to that I received a phone call from Lloyd bank complaint manager asking me questions about my complaint and he kept asking me how come my English is so good now and how come it was so bad 12 years ago ( I think this is disgusting! I felt like why on earth I dared to learn the language as now this man is accusing me of lies that I must have surely understood everything over a decade ago!)Well No! I have so many witnesses from my first job that I couldn't speak English! Anyway you know you've robbed me blind and probably lots of other people and you would do everything to get away with not giving me and others the money back. I don't think I've missed my deadline by few days but if I did you still know you've stolen from me and should have some decency and give it back to me.

My wife had a policy with Lloyds bank car insurance. She wanted to change her car. I went online as this is normally cheaper but their website was off line for maintenance. When I encountered this previously with Aegeas they waived the £25 administration fee, but Lloyds were unwilling to do this. Furthermore they wanted to charge an additional £55 to cancel the policy. A total of £80 to cancel a policy costing £230 so over 30%. I considered this to be outrageous and wonder how they are allowed get away with it. I will not use them again and urge others to do likewise.

DON'T USE LLOYDS BANK! They lie and cheat their customers out of money. Lloyds bully and pressure customers into signing contracts that leave customers financially worse off. They blame customers when money is stolen and accounts hacked, basically saying it’s your own fault. When you complain they pretend not to receive letters or just ignore you. Even pretending to send out responses to complaints when they haven’t. I'd give minus 10 stars if I could.

Used Lloyd’s as a business factoring company for many years. Useless. Unprofessional and incompetent. They pretend to be on your side. Ignore the lovely horse advert. I’ve lost everything very quickly due to their mistakes. The new director involved also mistakenly copied me into an email badmouthing me as my world was broken and I asked for help in understanding what was happening. He came in and clearly wanted to prove a point no doubt in being the big man and making a point. From this day things were taken beneath us immediately but they hid with lies what they were actually doing and manipulated the situation. £30,000 a year we gave them for 9 years and all they did was lend money, nothing more. I’ve had a year of legal hell and I’m still not sure if I’ll lose my home. Legal loan sharks I feel and as they are so well known in the corporate world they are trusted. Therefore they can manipulate law against a one man band. Be aware, nasty snakes and ruthless. I’m starting a mission to educate people as it’s been shocking what they have done. Especially in modern times. Stay away from them.

Your telephone service is BAD. Your staff asking question in a rude manner, not using her common sense or customer service and treated us like a criminal. Lloyds Bank - we are wondering how do you select your telephone service staff?? and they are the one flying your brand ....badly!!

All the 5 star reviews are from the bank itself all anonymous and fake this bank have no idea how to treat customers and anyone thinking of using or having an account should keep well clear. It is about time the regulator sorted out these cartel banks

Been a customer for over 20 years, used to receive tenants rent, my salary, pay mortgage, credit cards and tax and used debit card for theatre tickets, petrol, odd clothing purchase, never used abroad and never over drawn. Boom letter, no longer can continue banking relationship, so thinking it must be mistake, make appeal appointment with bank manager. Bank manager agrees with appeal, makes appeal against closure, and I hear nothing. Make second appointment with bank manager who adds further comment to appeal in my favour and adding his opinion that he can see nothing untoward with account or the way I operate account to add weight to my appeal and says he will chase weekly. I have been today back to bank and he said, he is hearing nothing back, nothing at all. My appeal is not even being looked into, decision made and account will be closed now in less than two weeks. Have four of five kids grown up with Lloyds accounts and my husband all waiting on Lloyds actually closing my account before they close theirs in protest. I don't want any family members or anyone I know treated like this. Meanwhile I have to have salary and payments in all altered to a another account, and all payments the same. No reason whatsoever given for their decision because apparently they don't have to, despite the local bank manager appealing on my behalf. Ridiculous.
