Good price but they don't give me a discount for my Biketrac Road Angel tracking device.

Good service so far, but in the first two days of having my bike insured, I broke down and couldn’t get breakdown recovery as the policy didn’t allow it until a week after the start date. Otherwise good so far.

Staff were very helpful but let down by faulty system which stated that my credit card was declined. After trying again I got the same message. Seems that payment had gone through-but twice . Took operative on chat over 30 mins to sort , then I still had to call to get refund . This was done very quickly and efficiently but I now have to wait a while for the money to be put back into my bank. As I said staff are courteous and professional and answered my call promptly.

E-mailed renewal price £220, phoned up £190, but comeparethemarket only £130. Why the discrepancy ?

Competitive price but very high excess!!! If you need to half it you have to pay extra (Insurance scum). No much choice out there as there are less underwriters willing to insure London bikers! Hoping prices will go down in future.

Website denied payment but took money anyway. This meant I had to phone and check that the money had been paid and I was insured also that only one payment had been taken. The young lady I spoke with didn't seen intetested or impressed that I had to do this. Apart from that at least the price was about right!

After being a customer of yours for eleven years, I was disappointed with having to pay an excess of £2,000.00, if it was my fault. I quiered this and was told I could reduce the excess by half if I paid a further £94.00. My previous quotes for excess have never been so expensive. Very disappointed.

It didn't really, last year my renewal quote (which I took) was £203, this year, exactly the same details (plus 1 extra year of no claims) my renewal was £360? I emailed asking why but got no response (No surprise there) I'm sure all these insurance companies work to do this together. I think there should be an outside body stopping this as it's disgraceful. All insurance companies are the same.

Called for advice on whether to get a dual motorcycle policy for my 2nd motorcycle or an additional single policy. The sales representative was condescending and offered no advice, only the cost. All he was interested in was whether I wanted to proceed with it! I have no idea whether they get commission for policies accepted; I assumed they did and declined to purchase from the salesman and bought via the website as MCE were the best value.

I only received a notifying email that my insurance had run out a week after it had finished. I was glad I hadn't been out on the road that week. The renewal price wasn't bad though so I renewed. If I'd had more notice I'd have checked other prices, so maybe in a cynical world they do it deliberately.

The customer service was great and already being with MCE made renewal very easy. On the downside they didn't match the price quoted on confused.com and a week later confused.com sent me a renewal reminder showing me the quotes they'd found and all were over £100 cheaper.
