My premium had not risen from the previous year and there were additional benefits on the policy. Renewal was very easy. Normally I would be giving a 5 star rating other than the fact that I discovered that there is a 1 week 'hole' in the breakdown cover: Even if you hold an existing policy with MCE, when you renew there is a 1 week period where you are not covered for breakdown - please be aware of this. Of course, for new policies I agree that this should be the case, but for continuation policies / renewals then this should be addressed. My renewal was earlier this week, so if I broke down today I would not be eligible for free breakdown cover. MCE YOU NEED TO ADDRESS THIS..!

Thankfully MCE have finally simplified the renewal process, though I found it to be very scripted and impersonal, as the call centre operative sounded as bored reading it as I was listening to it. Cover and prices are always reasonable but certainly not the best or cheapest, I'll probably look elsewhere next year as there appears to be little on offer for loyalty.

Good value for money. However, 5 days after renewing the policy I still haven't received any documentation, email or paper, confirming my policy nor can I see any documents on their customer portal.

Just called to pay 600 for my 1st year insurance on a scooter to be hung up on when I was trying to ask a question after payment had gone through, as thought they have my money and are now not interested! She regularly cut me off on the phone too and just didn't want to be speaking to me. not rally acceptable in a customer service role. Only reason they are getting 3 stars is because Abbie on the online support was polite and answered my questions. hopefully if I have to use them on a claim they will be a lot better or else I will be going else where!

well when they say they are going to call back they should. also have a free phone number because it cost me £10 on my phone bill to renew it

Not happy that my insurance doubled in price from last year 41 years riding with no accidents, was told anything Yamaha with R has doubled in price why penalise all Yamaha R1 riders. Les

Ive been with mce for around 3 years now, I'm happy with the cover and usually happy with the customer service. However, I phoned to renew my policy and the woman who I spoke to kept huffing and puffing after every answer I gave, added an accident that was over 5 years old and just generally didn't sound like she wanted to be there anymore. And to add insult to injury, gave me an expensive quote. So I ended up doing a fresh quote by myself and got it for over 100 cheaper...

Best price but in the higher bracket for excess notification of renewal does not incorporate price on assumption all has remained the same.Started trying to insure bike 3 days before expiry but told web sight down took 11 days to eventually get there did not match quote from MCE on go compare of £157-83 but £161 odds not bad.Controversy over payment by phone encountered.

After filling all details out Web wouldn't connect to payment site, Opted to ring up , after long wait on hold, then had to go through full details even though had reference from web quote only to be given a higher price, went back to web and still couldn't pay, rang back but on hold that long gave up, 3rd time lucky on web site payment site finally connected, best part of 2 hours just to get insurance, not impressed.

hi there didn't get all policy docs or receipt. policy on excess insurance or receipt for main policy. price seemed pricey, excess more than doubled, had to phone twice to get more info an still not all there, signed into account an old docs there from year before. the only reason I stayed was just bought new bike same day and had enough for one day... staff I dealt with before more on the ball.

Choose to stay with MCE due to time constraints to find an alternative, found the amount quoted to be quite high!!!
