“I have received an email asking how MCE done and as of yet I have not received and email regarding the insurance. Customer service number charges who said it’s ok. How do I know that? If I get stopped while driving I have nothing to show. Am I insured? I don’t know.”

“Asked MCE to explain why the Brokerage fee was so high (£250+) greater than the insurance premium itself and all they will do is stonewall, saying it would have been explained at time of taking out the policy. Have been with MCE many years but am extremely unhappy with the way I have been treated and cannot recommend using this company on this basis.”

“Don't get insurance with them they never stick to their word.. they have lied about my no-claims bonus for the last 12 months the company who has dealt with my claim said they have closed the claim but MCE have been lying to me for 12 months saying the claim has not been closed. I would advise to stay away from this company”

“Avoid this Insurance Company like the Plague !! cheap premiums until you have a claim then denial, they will do everything possible to NOT pay your Claim, Shocking customer service and utter incompetence !!. I had all sort's of issues with this company incorrect Reg number on my policy, Bike not on MID database for over 40 weeks ! and much more.”

“Went against everything I was told by others on different bike forums and got insured with mce because they were cheapest and had track cover included! Luckily last night I decided to check my renewal date as thought it was coming up and it had run out over a month ago!! Went back to Bennett's and got covered! After putting this on a few Facebook bike pages it seems a lot of people have had the same issue with mce. In over 30 years of buying vehicle insurance I've never had this! Luckily I've not used the bike, had a break in or an accident!! Never again mce!!!”

“Terrible company. A family member was involved in a serious accident with an MCE-insured motorcycle. The court made an award to her for trauma and damages (which in her case were considerable). MCE have totally ignored the court's ruling, do not respond to phone calls, letters or emails and totally failed to meet their financial obligations. If you think you are insured because you paid a premium to these people think again. You aren't. But you will only find that out if you try to make a claim.”
