I have always bought my insurance though MCE. I was disappointed that I called your offices directly, and spent 25 minutes on the phone with a rep, and recieved an appalling price for comprehensive motorbike insurance (£600)! I then hung up, went on compare the market and MCE came out on top with a deal for £390. I work in marketing and know you will now have to pay an affiliate fee to them, which seems so stupid. I am just disappointed that I wasted a good amount of time and came to you directly, and your rep really could not give me a good offer at all.

Third party put a claim against me that was clearly not based on true statement. Left MCE and claim is still outstanding. MCE Claims are not picking up their phones or responding to my emails. CLOWNS.

Cheap insurance, which was great and nobody takes out insurance expecting to claim. My bike was stolen 2 months ago and MCE have done everything possible to delay paying. The latest is asking for documentation that I sent last week recorded delivery. I've sent them the details of who signed for the parcel. Nightmare to deal with, on hold for ages.

My renewal was ridiculously high your operator was unhelpful ! And I went on go compare staying with MCE and getting my quote over £40 cheaper , so not impressed at all .

Asking me for a review on your customer service, not a good idea. I sent a message asking for important information 2 days ago and I'm yet to receive a reply. That despite the message after I sent it saying they'd get back to me within the hour. I think it's safe to say that cheaper isn't always better. They'll get a year out of me but that's it.

Insured my bike at 800 pounds on third party fire and theft, entered a excess of 100. 3 months later my bike was stolen, then recovered, paid 180 pounds to get it recovered. When claiming i was told my excess was 650 pounds. THEN i was told i was required to pay the remaining 9 months of premiums for a bike that i no longer have. So, simply. My bike was stolen, they've now taken possession of the bike. My claim has been 'settled' and i now have no bike and i owe them 500 quid. What?

I've been for a few months with MCE now and it's been an awful experience. My bike was hit by car while parked - quite a straightforward claim as the third party admitted full liability. More than two months after the accident happen I'm still waiting to get compensation... Customer service is very poor, they don't seem to take my claim seriously. They gave me replacement bike that wouldn't have passed a MOT. Terrible experience. As soon as I can I'll cancel my policy with them.

Rip off merchants. I am 25 with a full license since 17. No points or claims. MCE try to charge me £680 a year fully comp with a £1650 excess on a £3500. You dirty filthy greed bots.. NEW RIDERS BEWARE!!!

The worst Insurance company I have EVER had to deal with, and having been in the motor trade for nearly 50yrs that says something. I have had to make a theft claim on my much loved Yamaha, then the trouble started they passed on the investigation to Exam works Investigation, they wanted so many photo's and details you just know they were on a fishing exercise to try to refuse or limit the claim. even though the Yam was stolen from outside a friends house, they insisted on pictures of my garage!!!! 5 weeks on and still NO payment then they ask for proof of No Claims even though it was proven when taking out insurance so WHY do I have to back up the proof they already accepted 12 mnths ago ??? Phone calls!!! they always promise to call back, that never happens, I spend hours talking to a person that argue black is white and thats company policy crap. I'm at my wits end trying to get recompense for my loss and all I get is more questions NO answers and when they do offer a settlement is any body of the opinion it will be a fair one!! Their charges are also a issue averaging £45 pounds for a detail change?? their excesses are the highest I've ever encountered. not a problem really till something happens still : why!! I had 9 years no claims till this point, their documents DO not state they only accept 5yrs max and never informed me when taking out Insurance so 9yrs goes back to 5yrs then on step back goes back to 3yrs so when re-insuring with another company 3yrs is all they give so your insurance virtually doubles and is higher for the next 3yrs!! They say they operate out of a state of the art centre in Northampton BUT are listed at the MIB as a foreign Insurance, head office is in GIbraltar., PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if any happens you WILL regret it and the ensuing costs with added aggravation.

They are rubbish. My bike was stolen and they keep delaying any offer. I provided everything they asked for the day after my claim. They then asked for more info including a picture of the garage I usually keep my bike in!!?? Then they asked for proof of NCD from my previous insurer. When I pointed out that this was also MCE they asked for NCD proof from my insurer prior to that!! Rude csutomer service. I'm still waiting for an offer almost 2 months after the theft. This should have been a really straightforward claim. Unless they are MUCH cheaper than other insurers on the comparison websites I would avoid.

i called them to ask for my No Claim Bonus and not only the refused it to me but also the want to charge me 120 on the top of it. you call them to help you with something and all they care about is to charge you. NEVER CALL THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE A CLAIM.

Don't touch with a barge poll my experience with Mce is the worst I've ever had, if I could give them no stars I would have. Yamaha r6 '09 immaculate condition, someone backs into it an knocks it over, then the real trouble begins.... Took r6 gave us a hire bike that had leaky fork seals.... They called us liars took the bike back, then ignored me for a week and a half saying so an so will call u back but never did, got through to plantec assist who deal with fixings the bike by this time it's been 2 and a half weeks....... No hire bike therefore no transport they give us another hire bike which is fine, nxt we hear conflicting information as to how they gonna fix it they said they were going to spray the fairing then a week later they then say new panels oh an btw there is a paint chip in the frame, what would I like us to do about it ? Obviously I said fix it, so hear nothing for 5 more weeks..... They have had the bike 7 weeks by now.... And they call to say the bike is done and repaired and that I'll get a call bout dropping the bike back to us, so we wait for a week, yet again have to call them to ask when am I getting r6 back, eventually they drop it back today 7 days after they have finished, it comes out if the van and the first thing I've noticed is the repaired side is a gloss finish and the original side is a Matt finish, so it was sent back, how can they miss a simple thing as that???? Don't fill me with confidence about the repair job on the paint chipped frame !!!!! Will have to pay out for an independent assessment of their repairs which will cost me I say AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

I had an accident that was not my fault, the 3rd party took responsibility for the accident and even paid out. Yet my insurance premium more than doubled i had no choice but to pay it but that is absolutely disgusting.

After having insurance for less than 2 days it had to be cancelled as my son fell off his bike and was pretty shook up. When I called to cancel I was passed from pillar to post until eventually getting charged over £100 FOR TWO DAYS insurance. Would not recommend

First of 20 mins hanging on to speak to someone,then if you last that long,you have the most repetitive music to contend with.Now for the sting,i was insured with them for a year,but at renewal time,they will keep you on the phone whilst reading all the print on the doc, which you have anyway,win,win with phone charges,then to cap it all the original quote goes up by £40,WTF,when you say thats not right you get some *rick being sarcastic,and speaking in a very be-little way,never again will i deal with these *unts,And good luck canceling a Direct Debt!!!!! Pete
