“Really disappointing to find that the recovery aspect of the MCE Insurance has a 10 day 'weasel period' where they do not honour any form of recovery despite you you taking it out with them. So your year worth of cover is actually 365 days minus 10! What galls me most is the fact I have been insured with MCE for a few years and because the insurance did not automatically renew and the link to Quote zone renewal link did not work they applied a new policy rule to me and so when I tried to make a recovery request (first one in 35 year plus motorcycling) they refused it as I was within the 10 day rule despite seeing I had a previous policy with them! Result was stranded in Scotland from a tour from South England and lame apology that nothing could be done unless I was willing to pay £1400 plus recovery fee, which seemed a tad steep when I have paid for recovery bundled with the insurance! I was left totally stranded in middle of no where and they were no help unless I paid rip off recovery fee which I had thought was what I had paid for !!! Pretty lame to say the least.”

“There were huge issues with a server which prevented me from completing my insurance with them. I paid and was sent an email to complete the registration of my account - it didn't work due to the server issue. I used their online chat which advised me that I would not be covered. I waited for a few days and tried again and again and again but to no avail. I ended up having to purchase elsewhere because when I tried to complete a new quote, the premium had increased by £30 and the excess by £100. I suspect that this computer error has cost them a huge amount of business.”

“The person talks too fast when talking about costs, 1st quoted higher premium for my renewal than my original policy, only changed when I said what my renewal quote was that I had received days before my original policy ran out, also I have received all booklet details, but not yet received my actual policy that gives my moped details, IE, model, reg, date policy starts and finishes”
