“Paid for insurance 1/7/20 for insurance to start 7/5/20 as of 11/7/20 still not received policy. However we have received request for review and text message re breakdown number.”

“I have been insured with MCE for a couple of years now. My insurance was up for renewal but the renewal price had gone up. i I checked comparison websites and I could get it cheaper with less excess but I chose to continue with MCE because the overall deal was better.”

“The on-line quotation form was straightforward to complete. Bought policy but received no email confirmation. Logging into system to view documents took 2 days before my ID was recognised. The policy document pdf was initially blank. On-line chat sorted that very quickly. Then wanting to change details - tried calling and on hold for 12 minutes, no answer. Voice recording suggested the web On-line chat. Tried that - got an answer but still need to make call. This time on hold for 24 mins and still no answer. Not got through yet to make needed amendments.”

“I wanted to pay one lump sum for my renewal for the year but no option and ended up paying around 30% extra for only being able to pay by instalments. Totally cheated out of a large sum of money. My competitive renewal price turned out to be an expensive mistake...beware.”

“Tried to amend my insurance on line, said I had to do it over the phone. Waited 45min still no answer! Hung up. Won't be using them again, if they can't contact them, what do you do in the event of a claim. ?”

“I found the on-line quotation form fairly straightforward to complete but, having made one or two adjustments, the system then asked me to ring for a quotation. I spent some time on hold - during which time the automated response suggested I use the on-line system to avoid waiting (!!) - and then reached a very helpful staff member. However, she needed to refer me to another department. I then spent a considerable amount of time on hold again and in the end had to ring off and ring back! The second staff member I spoke to was also very helpful and we were able to complete the insurance purchase. However, like other customers, I was told that my documents would be with me by email within 48 hours and I have not yet received these either by post or email. The rating I have given MCE Insurance takes account of all the pros and cons of my customer experience but I confess that the price of my MCE Insurance was by far the best available from several comparison websites that I tried.”
