“I insured my new ducati in april after 2 years on my Honda. both bikes were insured with motorcycle direct,i was informed yesterday that my new bike hasn't been insured since may as they cancelled my policy because they didn't have proof of my no claims even though it was with the same company.£75.00 to cancel,the policy and i was notified by email but I couldn't open documents as error occurred.£57.00 refunded but cant tell me which card it was on.if I treated my customer like ie not knowing their history I would have complaints about their cars galore.a shocking experience never to be repeated.”

“I had insurance for a year, it cost me 65.80. It was automatically renewed at £91.35. No claims or changes in circumstances. This is a 38% increase because I am a returning customer! For some reason, the word "Predator," springs to mind.”

“ABSOLUTE CON OF A COMPANY *****DO NOT USE**** I insured my 650 bandit for £72 and after 2 weeks bought a Yamaha xj6 although showing on go compare motorcycle direct wanted £92 for this bike per year when I phoned to upgrade they said they were unable to insure this bike. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH !!! THEY ARE AT IT!! they then then said It would either cost me an additional £105 to upgrade my insurance to a premium of £138- the refund of 33 from my current premium which was 2 weeks short of a full year or a £75 cancellation charge. I TOOK THE NEW PREMIUM AND BECAUSE THERE IS A 2 WEEK COOLING OFF PERIOD TOOK A FULL REFUND AND BOYCOTTED THE COMPANY FOR LIFE. PLEASE DO THE SAME.”

“Paid initial premium of £85 comp. after 4 weeks i changed to the same make of bike and was charged £90...which included a £50 admin fee. I explained that this was expensive. When i asked for cancellation charge they asked for £75 ... absolute con company Will never recommend them in fact i will advise all my friends to avoid these crooks at all cost...i will be contacting the appropriate authorities regarding this company.. and needless to say i will never use these again!”

“Wanted to change bike details, similar performance, Emailed and answer was they would respond within 5 days. Too long so I phoned. £225 more, then dropped to £50 more. Said they would have to get sales dept to call. I agreed. No call so searched for alternative and found bennetts for £77 for the year. Emailed MD to cancel immediately, no response, 3 days later they took direct debit payment and now want £75 to cancel. Whats the £75 for? Pressing 2 buttons on a keyboard???? Absolute rip off company. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is shocking.”

“renewed my policy without my consent, always tell them when booking not to, rang them when I got back of holiday after being insured for ten days to cancel, wanted a fee so said just leave it in place, then cancelled it without a single email or phone call 3days later,rang them to see where my certificate is another 3weeks later that's when they told me it was cancelled, said because i did not tell them about a incident, why did they not ask when I tried to cancel it myself, said I was in wrong, der I never asked them to insure me in the first place, my insurance was 114pounds and they gave me 47 pounds back they had only insured me for 13 days,totally disgusted in them. never again, there name is mud to me, hope I see there stand at bike rallies and events, will stand with them telling everybody they not for bikers”

“WARNING: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY Sent off details for quotation to GoCompare.com and got a good quote from Motorcycle Direct so choose them to insure my bike with. Paid the money only to receive a rude & aggressive call about 3 days later from some girl demanding a further £40 for 'undisclosed information' relating to a previous claim on my car insurance. In fact all the details were disclosed - some issue on blame. Anyway I chose to cancel the policy because of their aggressive rudeness. Cost of cancellation - £75 - Crooks & Cheats. Wish I'd seen the warnings on the site before I paid - seems they have a shocking service record - KEEP AWAY.”

“They cancelled my policy. i rode my new bike without insurance for 4 months no knowing. I was bombarded with emails for my licence. When clicked on, it asked for my dob and email. I thought it was a fraud so i didn't reply. The "final Notice email" above the address says "to be sent 1st class" which they didn't do. They relied soley on email which im not interested in or use much. The letter in the post would have saved the policy from being cancelled. Very very bad.”
