“do not go with these rip offs they auto renewed my insurance and put the price up even as i had another year ncb and then when i rang then to cancel as i found a cheaper insurance they charged me another £57 to cancel and rang them three time to cancel it before the cooling off time so please if you dont want to get ripped off go else were be warned”

“BIKER'S BEWARE, BEWARE, DO NOT TAKE ANY POLICY OUT WITH THIS MOB, I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS POSTED ABOUT THIS LOT BEFORE BUYING, SO LOOK AT THEM FIRST BEFORE GOING WITH THEM, REALLY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR, READ THEM DON'T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. I TOOK A POLICY OUT EARLY MARCH AND HAD 8 YEARS NO CLAIMS, THEY COVERED ME FOR 2 WEEKS THEN CANCELLED AND KEPT MY MONEY, THEIR ONLY REASON WAS I HAD A MINOR 3RD PARTY INCIDENT , NOT MY FAULT BUT I REPORTED IT TO MY INSURANCE GUYS TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE. THIS MOB USED THAT TO TRY AND HIKE UP MY POLICY. THEY CANCELLED MY POLICY WHILE I WAS OUT RIDING AND I HAD TO HAVE MY BIKE TRANSPORTED BACK BY VAN. THIS LOT ARE RIPPING HONEST BIKERS OFF FOR THE SLIGHTEST EXCUSE AND KEEPING THEIR MONEY. I AM NOW TAKING THEM TO COURT TO GET MY REFUND, ANY OTHER UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS CAN CONTACT ME AS I AM STARTING A GROUP TO FIGHT AGAINST THEM AND GET MONEYS OWED TO US. billythebiker61@yahoo.co.uk, also starting facebook group ACTION AGAINST MOTORCYCLES DIRECT INSURANCE RIPOFF. DON'T GET MAD GET EVEN. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.”

“Completely untrustworthy. Lied to me about my renewal saying the best price available to me was in excess of £840 when I had only paid £305 on my first year and even though I told them I didn't want to renew, they renewed it anyway on my grandfathers card details taking the money straight from his account to renew the policy. I then had to wait on hold for 40 minutes just to talk to someone to cancel the policy and get a full refund. And the so called £840+ being the best price was a load of rubbish I found a company who can give me insurance for £324. And they could do it themselves for £356. LIARS AND THIEVES!!!”

“Shockingly bad company to deal with. I called them today for a change of bike, they took all the details and then said they couldn't insure it and would have to refer it which they couldn't do until Monday. I have held a full license since 1988, I have no points at all and am a former DSA approved motorcycle instructor. The bike is a £1500 Honda Firestorm, hardly a high risk machine. I told them that I could insure the bike straight away online and could they please cancel the policy? They said I would get no refund at all, despite the policy being less than three months old so I told them to leave it running and I would keep the years no claims bonus. They said 'No, we're going to cancel it anyway now'. I told them that I didn't want it cancelled as I still have my previous bike but they refused to discuss it and insisted that they were going to cancel it anyway. They have now left my current bike uninsured for no reason and at a moments notice. Dealing with this company is a bit like dealing with a spoiled child having a tantrum. A disgusting company, I will certainly be avoiding them in the future.”

“when trying to get a second bike added to my policy, they claimed that the bike was not on there list. however they were happy to take over £300 to insure it as a separate policy with out using my 19 years no claims. as someone who works in the motorcycle trade I will definitely not be recommending there services to any of our customers”

“When I sold my motorbike and cancelled the policy which had six months remaining they refused to refund the remaining six months premium on the basis that they could not obtain a refund for £36.00 from the underwriter because of the charges they had incurred.”

“Very disappointed in this company! Took policy out at beginning of December 2015 and on the 6th January 2016 they cancelled it without notice due to not receiving my 1 years ncb. Staff very unhelpful and talk over you! I contacted them on the 29/12/2015 stating the pdf file won't open and they still did this! Avoid if you want to stay legal!!!!”

“Very disappointed with this company. As a company that claims to be for motorcyclist their after sales is deplorable. Having taken out my policy and paying for it in full went on holiday came back and found several emails from them, telling that I was not insured when I phoned they said that they did not get my notice of no claims 15 years. The company stated proof of no claims was to be with them in 10 days and it's in their TERMS & CONDITIONS. £72 to reinstate it the policy cost £85 did take out their kind offer ,nor do you a refund because what it costs for the paperwork”

“I had a series motorcycle crash, once out of hospital i contacted the insurer who put me through to the underwriter which is AXA who were fantastic, my claims handler could not of been any better, he helped with advice, was so friendly and got me a very good amount for the written off motorcycle. I know this is coming across as a bit of an advert but I really was treated very well and a difficult time.”

“I took my insurance out with these robbers on the 27thSeptember 2015 and paid it in full to save paying interest on monthly payments. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to sell the bike to raise some funds 26th November 2015. When I cancelled the policy they charged me £75 cancelation fees. They told me it was in the small print when I challenged it. Had I paid monthly they would have not been able to charge me anything. I intend to raise this rip off with the Ombudsman. They had the cheek to ask me if there was anything else they could help me with after they told me I was getting £29 back from £243. They really know how to rub it in.”

“After purchasing a motorcycle and only having a booking for a CBT a month later, I had to insure the bike before it would be delivered, so went ahead on gocompare to find a quote, clearly stated that I do not currently posses a CBT yet received a good quote from Motorcycledirect. Purchased the insurance to then only be told a couple of days later that they can't insure me because I don't posses a CBT and on top of that charge me a cancellation fee and fee for the amount of days the bike has been insured. Despite all this I'm not even receiving the bike until a couple of days after my CBT!! Utterly incompetent organisation, stay clear because they're obviously nothing more than common criminals.”

“insurance cost £123 fully comp had policy for less than a month,refund £31.64 with a cancellation cost of £75, yes £75 seventy five pounds.Dick Turpin had a mask and you knew what he was after. The worst ever. On a scale of 1 to 10 its cost to be a 1 (one) and that's more generous than motorcycle direct...please don't do it.......”
