“Comprehensive cover. Just cancelled Coop insurance after 28 Years. Superior cover options with Policy Expert for half the price. Dare say the proof of the pudding will be if ever I have to claim from them.”

“I noted that jewellery over £2000 requires 2 yearly valuation otherwise may not be paid out on. This is quite different to other insurers and I only spotted by being quite Eagle eyed. So I either thinks this needs to be highlighted more or removed.”

Before proceeding with the purchase of a Policy Expert policy, you are directed to our website, where further details of the policy are displayed. This includes all of the policy endorsements. Not only do we make the policy endorsements available to view on our website prior to taking out a policy, but these are also clearly displayed within your policy documentation - specifically your policy schedule. The endorsements on your policy schedule have a page of their own, which is clearly entitled 'Endorsement(s) that apply to this policy'. They are written in bold, sizeable font to ensure they are clear. We provide all policyholders with a 14-day cooling-off period to thoroughly review their cover. If they are not satisfied with the cover limits, including the policy endorsements, they are able to cancel within this cooling-off period, without being subject to a cancellation fee. We are satisfied that this is plenty of time to assess all of the policy terms. “Great policy cover but sadly let down by inability to help me change the date my policy was due to start. Customer services very unhelpful on this and I ended up having to cancel original policy and buy a new one all because they wouldn’t change the start date.”

Firstly, it is great to hear that you are pleased with our policies and therefore decided to continue your home insurance with us! After looking into your account, and speaking with you over the phone, I was able to establish that you are currently in the process of moving home. However, at the time of speaking to our agent, your exchange of contracts had not happened. Here at Policy Expert, our policies are only suitable for policyholders that have already exchanged contracts and will be completing the sale and moving in within 14-days. Whilst we appreciate that the cancellation of your policy must have been inconvenient, our main concern is making sure you and your home are adequately covered.
