“Our bed was delivered on the scheduled date, but came without instructions or screws. A quick call confirmed that was their error, they promptly emailed us the instructions and reimbursed us to buy some screws rather than wait for them to mail them to us. Assembly was pretty easy, though also looks like they sent us an additional plank of wood which we’re pretty sure was superfluous! Headboard was initially very creaky, remedied this by putting extra biscuits between the planks. Also the floating shelf didn’t really sit horizontally, easy fix with a as bit of cardboard wedged underneath, nor a big deal but not ideal. All in all we’re happy with the bed, looks good, feels sturdy, would probably buy from them again but would definitely post for someone to put it together!”

“The whole process from initial inquiry to receiving my new ottoman bed was very smooth. I received regular updates on the progress and the bed was delivered on time. Putting the bed together was quite straightforward and I am extremely pleased with the finished result.”

“The bed is really beautiful, came just as decribed and feel really good quality. We put it togther, but for the small cost of getting someone else to do it i would recommend this service. It was simple enough but the wood quality is so good that it was actually quite hard work to put togther.”

“I really wanted to add to your 5 star reviews because i absolutely love the concept of hand crafted British made beds. I especially loved the opportunity to choose low space saver beds as our teenage son suffers with seizures and periods of immobility which make a low level bed far safer for him. He was very happy and excited to choose and order his bed from getlaidbeds and because I wanted it to be perfect for him we had arranged for the bed to be constructed by the delivery team. The delivery happened on the morning as planned but unfortunately the slats it came with had been cut 2cm too long and so the build could not go ahead. We were left with the frame and a promise that slats would be prioritised and customer services would be in touch. However we would now be waiting for monday for the slats to be courier delivered and we would be waiting even longer if we wanted the bed to be built. Not wanting my son to need to wait any longer for the bed, i decided i would build the bed myself once the slats arrived. The build cost of £70 would be refunded. However monday came and by 2.30 i hadn’t heard from anyone notifying me of a time to expect the courier so i called Getlaidbeds customer services. It seemed another error had occurred with the courier and now i would be waiting till tuesday for the slats. Each person i spoke to at the company has been polite but i do feel disappointed by our experience..As yet i am unable to review the bed.”

“The bed was well made and of good quality but not quite what we expected. The reason I have only given four stars is because I'm having trouble returning it. Because I had the legs four centimetres longer that counts as customisation. I would think any carpenter would easily remove 4cm!”

“Very happy with my purchase - our bedroom is a converted loft room and has a minimum height of a metre, so I didn't want to use too much of that height with a bed frame, but didn't want it to feel like a student house with a mattress on the floor. We ordered the Tokyo bed in satin solid oak and it looks gorgeous in the space, and most importantly gives us back the headroom to sit up comfortably in bed. We got the side tables as well as we don't have loads of space around the bed and overall really pleased. The only thing I would say is that it would've been great to be able to get the bed assembled on more days - my partner had to do it alone as I was away and it was quite a lot of parts, but because we needed delivery on a certain day we couldn't order it with assembly. Would recommend Get Laid in a heartbeat though!”

“Great, sturdy hight sleeper bed. Superb quality, solid wood. It was a really tough job to build it, the wood is too hard for the screws so even a professional electric screwdriver struggled with it. If i order again i will definitely use the assembly service. My only issue with the design is the ladder, the steps have little gaps in between and feels a bit slippery, hope it won’t be an issue.”
