“We had high hopes with the platform bed we purchased and were really impressed when the bed came, the wood quality and ease to put together (my husband is an experienced carpenter). Unfortunately it’s the squeakiest bed I’ve ever had. The frame creaks just turning over in the night. We are waiting until we move now and we will fit braces across the corner to permanently fix this issue. Far from ideal, I wouldn’t recommend or buy again.”

“Delivery has been a nightmare and we are still waiting to receive all the parts of the bed. We keep getting told it will be delivered on x date and it never turns up. We have spoken to three agents and no one has been able to sort it. It’s been about 6 weeks.”

“Delivered when promised (10 days after ordering). London bed - 3 elements to the headboard, the bottom element is approx 5mm shorter than the top two, therefore does not sit neatly. Fortunately this is not visible when the bed is in position. Fixing screws for the bed slats do not leave enough clearance to use a power screwdriver, so they have to be screwed in manually. Otherwise the bed has come together very nicely and looks good.”

“I’m still waiting for a delivery of my order which was scheduled for 20 December with no updates provided. I live in a rural area where deliveries are supposed to take an additional 3 working days. This wasn’t made clear when the order was placed. Very poor customer service for an expensive product.”

“I found Get Laid Beds online and ordered a king 4-poster and mattress, to be shipped overseas and assembled ourselves. I am thrilled with the quality of manufacture and the weight of the wooden pieces… the climate here is often humid, so wood has to be solid. It’s a 2-person job to put together and you need a serious electric screwdriver to tighten the joints, testament to the quality of the wood - but worth it, this bed is a keeper!”

“Bought a super king floating bed, really disappointed as it is definitely form over function with this bed, nothing to hold the mattress in place. The creaking noises every time we move keep us and probably the neighbours up as well. This is supposed to be a strongly built wooden bed, extremely disappointed and feeling out of pocket as I am going to buy a new bed as soon as I can.”

“Discovered these beds online and they were perfect for our rather low ceiling studio room. Because they don't have any sides as such, we can use them as 2 singles or a double and no-one would know! Delivery was good bearing in mind we had them delivered to one of the western isles - shame everyone can't be so pro-active with their deliveries!! We had a couple of slats missing but that was soon resolved. Would recommend.”

“I recently purchased the Oxford Bed in the 4'6" Standard Double size, and I am thoroughly impressed. The standard slat base provides sturdy support, and the natural satin finish of the solid bed frame gives it an elegant look. I am happy with the quality and aesthetics of this bed.”

“Good material, nothing was damaged or imperfect, decent prices. And when in my case I was missing a bit of assembly hardware they dealt with it super quickly and were friendly. Recommended. Warning for UK buyers - don't be a donut like me and assume EU king is what we use. We don't :)”

“Everthing went very smoothly, ordering, delivery and any queries. The bed looks lovely. We think some of the build instructions could do with refreshing and would recommend having an electric screw driver if you are self building.”
