I Purchased a berghaus air4 tent carpet. When opening the carpet we noticed there were leaves and a big purple stain on the carpet, obviously been used. I informed go outdoors and was instructed to return the carpet for a refund, all I wanted was a replacement carpet, but this is not there policy. After 22 days, several phone calls and threatening legal action I got my money refunded. I feel totally disgusted with service I received from the CUSTOMER CARE TEAM, if this is how they look after there customers, I'm glad I will never be one again.

Avoid like all the other comments customer service appalling. Ordered clock n collect at erdington branch. Put in my discount card number online and the items were reduced to £20 in total. When I got to store they wanted to charge me £25 as he said my card had expired. When I asked why online this had not come up as invalid or expired!! He said he didn’t know. I asked to speak to the manager because tbh if I had known I could have got the items cheaper else where as I hate the attitude of go outdoors staff!!! Manager came over not having it he said if you use a discount t code online and it’s no good not his fault. I said yes it is if it’s ur discount card and your system isn’t good enough to tell customers it has expired. He said it was my fault I should have remembered I had had it 12 months. Are you joking!!!!!! I left the store without my items as I was determined to only pay what my email said I had to pay instore. I sat in the car and called their customer service and a lady answered looked at my order and agreed I should only have to pay £20. I walked in with my phone and told to so called manager that I had his head office on and he really didn’t give a dam. He said he would call them and 15 minutes later he came off the phone and said it’s wrong but he will honour it!!! And then started to argue with me as a customer why he was right. I said I’m not arguing with you just get my items. I will never step foot in go outdoors again this is the 3rd time they have cocked up with stock or prices and I think they are trained to be as obnoxious as possible and then they become managers!!!!

Cowboy seller waste of time !! After 10 days they didn't dispatch goods and refuse refund !! thet rip u off !!

Failed to deliver an order. Failed to explain why. Still hasn’t even been picked and packed but they refuse to provide a refund. Do not buy from Go Outdoors.

Under-deliver, that's if they deliver at all. The third rate carrier service they use is nigh on useless, and the customer service experience is woeful. Managed to get a refund in the end. I will be very surprised if they don't end up in administration again. There are much better retailers out there.

Mine is a similar story to all the others on here... Items cancelled after being ordered. Luckily for me I never pay them until I see the item. I always pick up in store and I'd advise anyone else to do the same... The latest pantomime started when I ordered a pair of boots. I chose to pick up in store (within an hour)... I waited for five hours before calling customer service... The first call was "handled" by a girl who was obviously treating it as her Saturday job. When asked if my boots were in store she repeatedly said they were. I asked her to call the store but she "wasn't allowed" to do that. I asked her why, if my goods were in store, hadn't I been informed. She said they were probably too busy. I told her that wasn't really an acceptable response. I then said I'd have probably have been better served going to Millett's... She said, "Well... we own Millett's so we'd get paid anyway..." I told her to grow up and terminated the call... The next call was to a guy who basically left me on hold for six minutes then dropped the call... The third operator told me the order hadn't reached the warehouse and said she'd push it through, sound familiar... The boots were there... Hoorah!... They existed. In Warrington... They are now pestering me to go and collect the boots from their Cardiff store... I'll pop down later if I can be bother. MY ADVICE: Go Elsewhere... But if you must deal with these fools, never pay up front...

Avoid at all cost. Ordered a bbq 9 days ago on a 5 to 7 day delivery, After numerous emails and phone calls I'm just being told the same thing order waiting to be picked. I've asked when I might receive my goods & they just say don't know, I had a family BBQ planned for this weekend and it looks very likely no BBQ so will have to make alternative arrangements. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with they have £260 of my money no offer of refund and nothing seems to be being done to despatch my goods. I am probably going to have to go through my bank to claim money back

Poor returns service - now waited 14 days for a refund, Made contact and just told to wait. They have obviously lost my return. You can see that all the other positive reviews on here are made up. Order Number: 680764020

I placed the order over one week ago and still not been dispatched, I called dozens of times and wanted them to cancel coz it took too long and I wouldn't be able to receive it after so long. they said it's not possible to cancel before they send it, and I need to contact Hermes with the tracking number and ask them to send back. I got the number after one weeks waiting time, I contacted Hermes and they say only the sender can change the address or have it returned. I contacted gooutdoors again and one guy was still making excuses and didn't want to have it returned, he was super rude and hung my call! After trying so many times and spending hours, finally a lady said they contacted Hermes and it could be returned but nothing guaranteed! I waited for one more day and Hermes said it's going to be delivered! I asked customer service and they say if they receive, it's a civil dispute between me and that house owner, which is none of their business!! I've been online shopping for decades and this is the worst experience!! I seldom used trust pilot or anything to review but this gooutdoors customer service just made me so angry! I bought 10s of thousands of products from gooutdoors shops including climbing equipment for 20+ people, camping equipment for 20+ people etc. I run an outdoor activity company and do regular purchases. It's my first time shopping online with them and I won't use it ever again, no matter how much discount they have! Won't even use their shops ever again! Also will tell all my colleagues to avoid!

Ok if you visit a store and they have what you want in stock. Online and click and collect, different story! Cancelled orders, items allegedly “lost in transit” and “unable to replace due to lack of stock” (despite still being listed as available for pick up in two local stores and for delivery). They’re either having serious financial difficulties, or are lying about stock levels and trying to order ‘just in time’

Bought some running shoes - which I needed - and they sent me a pair with a defective lace clasp on the quick tie lace system. So I immediately sent them back unworn and unused. That was 3 weeks ago with still no word on when I’ll get my money back. To add insult to injury they’re inundating me with emails to buy more stuff from them. Yeah. Right.

Just set up a account with Go Outdoors as I was looking for a fishing bivvy and found one I liked. I purchased the membership card and selected click and collect for the bivvy and an outer skin for it as I need it for tonight. I paid online and waited for my message to say I could collect. No message arrived only a confirmation mail which stated delivery in 3-5 days! I contacted the store where I had selected for click and collect only to be spoken to like an idiot and told I had done something wrong online which I know I didn’t because I checked and double checked everything before paying. I then called customer service who then said they don’t know what happened but it’s down for delivery. I asked for them to cancel the order and refund me the money and I’ll just go the store and buy it to which I was told no. They say they can’t refund because the order has gone through although is been less than an hour since I made the order. I then asked them to change the delivery address to the store and let the store know I will be coming to collect today to which I was also told no. Apparently they can’t change details on the order so basically it’s tough I’ll just have to wait for the delivery. I’m now stuck with no bivvy to use tonight and no cash to go buy another one and send this back when it arrives. Awful service, awful website, awful staff. Only gave 1 star because I can’t give no stars!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I have sent endless emails and Facebook messages regarding 2 items not received. No one replies or updates me, just constantly ask for my order details and say they'll pass my query onto the correct people. No one ever gets back to me. I just want a refund now as they owe me over £150. I ordered over 3 weeks ago and the items should have come between 3 and 5 days. Hermes received the items but they were damaged so they refused to deliver them. I updated Go Outdoors and they have no idea what's going on. Appalling customer service. I've escalated a Paypal claim now so hopefully I'll finally get my money back. Should have learnt my lesson last year when my order was 'lost'. They blamed Hermes, but Hermes never even received the package.

Under ONE STAR Service The service in the store is 100% BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT HQ is no better then a one star, when I was in the store a pair of trousers was ordered by the manager so I paid for them and was told I would have them within 7 days, I called HQ Customer Services and was told by Tom there had been a mistake and it would take IT 7 days to look into it and then maybe another 7 to 10 days to get them to me or if I wanted a refund it would take 14 days to sort that out. Not good

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Genuinely cannot believe the experience. Ordered a fire pit online, was clearly a damaged return; box torn and cellotaped together, screws missing, screws broken. Took it back in store to swap it for an unbroken product. They didn’t have any and wouldn’t refund mi. Accused mi of doing the damage myself, even though the old manky cellotape was all yellowed from age, so had been like it for a while, well before it was sent out to mi. The 6ft 2 male staff member pretended to be a manager, came away from the protective screen to get in my face, saying it wasn’t his problem. The real manager came along and had to ask the guy 3/4 times to get away from mi. Eventually, he walked away, slagging mi off, I asked the manager if he was going to let staff attack female customers like that and the manager just shrugged. Then the aggressive man came back over to carry on having a go at mi. I had to leave in the end as they refused to help mi. Several hours later on the phone to customer service, they say I have to do the 16 mile round trip again to get the refund. I get a kind friend to do this as I was genuinely scared to go back in there with that guy there. And guess what? The same 6ft 2 male staff gets in my friend’s face, being rude to her. She asks him if he can social distance because of covid and he literally said ‘no’ and continued to intimidate her until she got her phone to film him and another staff member intervened. No apology for sending out a clearly broken product that they’d crudely tried to fix. No apology for accusing myself of doing the damage. No apology for making me do a 32 mile round trip to get a refund. No apology for staff refusing to social distance and getting in my face, being asked by other staff on numerous occasions to leave me alone. No apology for getting into my friends face and being rude to her either. Customer service said I should be grateful to get a refund as they don’t take back damaged goods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never known anything like it. If that had been a man in a pub, the bouncers would’ve grabbed him and thrown him out. But this guy was being paid by Go Outdoors to treat us like this. Truly shocked

Terrible delivery. My order was split into 3 parts and they didn't tell me. 15 days later and still waiting for two items. Called and emailed 5 times, told something different every time and staff just blame Hermes. No apology, no goods, no refund, no way of knowing if they will ever arrive. Do not order online from this store!!
