Paid over £500 for items, and 2 arrived within 3 days and now I'm into week 2 still waiting for my air porch,Hermes are not doing anything, and when I asked for a refund go outdoors said just wait for it to turn up and refuse delivery so you can get a refund.😲

Customer service really hopeless; unable to cancel an accidental repeat online order despite speaking to them within 3 minutes. Will not be purchasing for this company again.

Slowest delivery service known to man! Day 6 no order! When your spending circa £300 I expect 3 days max.

Dreadful business model. Went in for the first time today and found something I wanted to buy at a sensible and affordable price in the sale. So I thought till I got to the till. Was asked if I had a member card of some description. I said no and the price shut up from £19 to a whopping £40. The woman sing to delight in telling me that was the business model that's been in operation for 4 years. If I wanted to pay £5 for a card I could then have the item at the sale price. I was absolutely gutted and astonished. I wanted the item but would not purchase on principle. Don't know how this company makes any money. And the woman on the till seem to be getting a buz out of my consternation and disappointment.

On line ordering shocking. Ordered a Tilley hat for my dad as a present. They sent the wrong size.I ordered again...the order was cancelled. Third time lucky? No! They sent the hat I ordered...right size...but the security tag was left on ! So it was returned. Same story as others.A refund will not be issued until it reaches the warehouse..even though GO arranged a collection and I sent evidence of the collection ticket. Not happy at all. They have offered a £10 gift card..but no where near enough regarding the time I have had to spend on this. Oh and the fact that my elderly father still does not have his Christmas present. Has to be the most appalling on- line service and customer service response.

we are absolutely surprised indeed to see that Go outdoors has achieved a 2 star rating. If this could be a minus We would be happy indeed. How they are still operating is a real shocker.!Had the misfortune to enter the premises in Poole Christmas Eve.Just as well we had Christmas Spirit. My God did we need it.If we had been lucky enough to talk to a grown up intelligent member of staff that would have been marvellous.Whoop Whoop.Firstly asked to confirm price of a jacket.Apperently not half price as advertised but double as the Manager explained it was the wrong colour.Cracking.!!! Thought ok returned this to the rack ,maybe we had this wrong.Carried on shopping we had 2 lots of gas canisters (BOGOF) an umbrella and a low wattage electric fire.Alright the trip wasn’t entirely wasted as we had travelled some distance. The entire basket was £30.00 ish.Oh no we had to part with over £76.00 as we had no discount members card. The so called Manager in charge.(which incidentally didn’t seem to know if he was or wasn’t)Just stood staring into the distance. We have never posted online before however this was an absolute must. You have been warned and warned again.Only wished we had looked at the ratings before. We can only assume that the so call staff had been drafted in that day from the local Primary School for a Laugh.BOGOFF spot on.If we had any contact with someone older enough to shave it would have been a bonus.

I ordered a tent on line it was to be an xmas gift for my son and grandson. The order was cancelled though I received no notification of the cancellation. I was assured it was being sent several times when I tried to chase it up. The notification was finally sent however it was after deadlines for xmas post so I was unable to send anything else now my family has no gift from me. Really appalling customer service, the worst I've ever experienced. Wish I had read the reviews before ordering.

One star is too much for this company. There service is the worst I've ever seen. Waiting two weeks for a Christmas delivery that is lost and when I ask for a redund told I have to wait until the lost parcel is delivered back to them. I would don't it will ever be seen again. Avoid!

I am presently having a dreadful time recovering my money from a pair of boots which they have lost. Their customer service is woeful and I am thinking of walking into one of their stores and kidnapping a pair of boots to force the issue . The company doesn’t care

We purchased a gift card for our son for Christmas and received it today in appalling condition delivered by Hermes (see photos) The packaging was ripped open and the invoice was torn in half The wallet that contains the card was torn and creased Contacted customer services straightaway who advised me to return to head office and they would then issue a new one I was not happy to return at my expense as for safety I would need to send it as registered. Also the time they took to deliver this one made it very likely that I would not receive the new one in time for Xmas I asked if they could cancel this card and issue a new one as I was not sure that it had not been tampered with. Apparently they were unable to do so I then asked if they could send out the paper wallet that the card is attached to but they were unable to do that either If the gift card was for myself then the wallet would not matter but the clue is in the name “gift” Really poor customer service

Absolutely dreadful. I spent a fortune with Go Outdoors this year but I'm now mired in customer services hell dealing with numerous different people trying to get a refund for faulty goods from 3 months ago. So far around 30 emails have been exchanged but prcesiely zero progress made and a letter before actuion has now been issued. I fully anticipate this will end up in the County Court and I will never again buy from Go Outdoors.

After a lot of delay buying walking boots at their Norwich Branch i received a parking fine for £100 from G24 parking. I appealed this proving that the till receipt was timed at 15.15 pm , and their photographic evidence was timed at 15 .17 pm . Go Outdoors claim that the parking fine is nothing to do with them.

I was charged twice for £130 walking boots and after many emails/calls over 4 weeks later I was refunded. However, few days later in September 2021 about 20/30 camp beds were delivered to my address in husbands name (named on boot order). It's £200/300 worth of merchandise we did not order. I have emailed many many times but each time I seem to get different operator. I have sent photos of excessive order etc but still nothing. An awful experience shopping with GO Outdoors online and I most certainly will not be back nor recommending. Absolute nightmare.

Absolutely dreadful service! Avoid buying anything online folks! That’s been two orders I haven’t received with no notifications of where the items are. Trying to talk with any of their team on the phone is appalling due to the noise in the background! Absolute shambles!!!

I doubt anybody’s sorry in go outdoors. Brought some walking boots for £140 from Norwich after waiting an age to get served and failing to notice a parking time limit on what I believed to be their car park received £100 fine for exceeding limit three weeks later tried complaining absolutely POINTLESS. Tom the supervisor hung on me , won’t be buying anything else ever tosser!! Ps don’t know how providing an email address verifies a purchase,

Awful experience. They continuously made mistakes with my orders and cancelled items for being out of stock. Multiple customer support assistants asserted that they were in stock, and that cancelling them was a mistake/glitch. Then they failed to refund me for all of my orders, when it was meant to be automatic. Finally after refunding me correctly they took MORE money from my account and marked it as a purchase, when I didn't authorise anything; I made no purchase! I can't seem to get my money back and It's been exhausting chasing them. Furthermore, they do not have sufficient information on their own-brand products, such as items by "North Ridge". For instance, they have no idea what some of the fabrics used are, which is awful for walking gear. Unfortunately customer support couldn't help either. The only positive of this site is that their call centre employees are very polite & helpful in my experience. However, I can't say the same for their the email customer support, which was very bad. They gave incorrect information, didn't seem to actually read my messages and seemed more like automatic replies.

I went to Canterbury store today to buy a pair of walking boots, a member of staff asked if we needed help, after asking several questions the member of staff said she would get someone else to help us as she couldn’t answer simply enquiries, unfortunately the next member of staff equally had very little knowledge of the products, durability etc etc she gave us a pair to try and then walked away not even waiting to see if they fit offer more help etc etc , very disappointed is an understatement so we walked out with no boots/shoes!

They cancelled my order before dispatch due to a systems issue, when I called about a refund, they said they'd given it and PayPal must not have passed it on and there was nothing more they could do. I also had another order with them where they cancelled but refunded the out of stock items but not the discount card, which never turned up. Just as well as I have no use for it. I would not recommend these cowboys to anyone and will never shop there again. If you like throwing money away, then feel free to ingore this review.
