Scouts avoid! Wish I’d looked here first. Ordered items only to have the bulk cancelled yet it still shows as in stock online. Now I’m left paying for next day delivery and a members card to get some tent pegs that were an after thought. Scouts should avoid this as their business practices do not align with Scout beliefs. They do not do their best, they are not honest, and they are definitely not doing a good turn! I truly wish I could give zero star.

Have a considerable amount voucher to spend in Go Outdoors given as a birthday present, I have tried for 6 months to buy a pair of walking boots from the Pudsey branch, but they never have a size 5 in, they are unwilling to order them in, they tell you to order online and pay for them first (again they can't do this in store) so they tell you to order online, but the voucher won't work online, despite ringing customer service to be told my voucher is still in date. But they can't let me use it online even though there are size 5s online. Asked for a manager to call back, still not had a call back. Its appalling

Avoid ordering anything online with Go Outdoors!! Their customer service is the worst have have ever experienced. They are rude, lie and even shout at you on the telephone!!! Avoid at all cost and go elsewhere. Shame I had to give one star as they are not even worthy of that!!!!!!

Currently on the phone for the 3rd time, over an hour later still on hold, just need to return an item as it’s not as described on the website!! can’t email me to confirm this AVOID AVOID AVOID

On day 8 waiting on a three-day delivery, then I found out that GoOutdoors is owned by Peter Cowgill of JD Sports. The man who runs manual warehouses does not believe in computer systems for logistics and has ruined Evans Cycles by knowingly selling items, out of stock as in stock. I would have bought it from Decathlon if I had known.

Shocking customer service. Half an order arrived, tent porch but no tent. Tent porch damaged and had to take it to a shop to change. 2 weeks later, tent not arrived and told the order cancelled. There are still tents available online so why can't they just send one out. Now being told to order again!

After reading the online reviews for Go Outdoors there appears to a negative response for the customer service !!!! Couldn't agree more. I contacted customer services, approximately 7 weeks ago, to check whether I was entitled to the 10% online discount advertised as Get10 on an attempted online order. Their payment system wasn't working and didn't accept the payment . Consequently I had to drive to their store 10 miles away to get the items as I needed for my planned walking trip. The store would accept the code. I contacted the CS to see if I qualified for a refund numerous times. Each time after explaining my question ,promises were made that someone would ring me within a few days. These uncontactable imaginary people must be stationed on the Mary Celeste. I appreciate that they are busy BUT l consider that no reply in 6/7 weeks is unacceptable and poor practice. There is no point the customer service team promising anything if its not followed up.

Ordered items, they cancelled items without explanation the next-day, and then parcel undelivered. Customer service did not help at all with regards to missing parcel. Just a "we will get back to you"

Paid extra for fast delivery items did not turn up. Phoned customer service complete waste of time. First time I’ve used this company and the last it’s back to Amazon for me.

Took my money they cancelled half of my order days later , absolute joke of a company will NOT order from here again and I would recommend the people reading this don't order from there also , shocking

Ordered some fishing equipment for my husband for his birthday and they took the money including the yearly membership card (£5) then 5 days later cancelled the order but still have to pay for the card . Can't speak to anyone as the customer care no longer is in operation and just got an standard email back stating that even though the items may show available on website they may be out of stock. Terrible way to run a company and feel I've been tricked into buying there membership card. Don't want anyone else to fall for this dirty trick.

Extremely poor customer service. Ordered online and wrong item arrived despite delivery note having the correct item stated. Phoned Customer Service to arrange exchange to be told I’d need to wait in for a courier to collect new item, wait for refund and then re-order. Explained this would cost us as there’s currently 15% off to be told to reorder at full price and phone Customer Service and ask for a 15% credit. Not interested in the fact it was originally their mistake. Avoid online ordering.

Dreadful service - ordered a coat - the wrong coat and wrong size came - paid fot the return - orederd it again - this time a pair if ski pants arrived instead - paid for the return .Now 3 months later still waiting for my refund on my coat - DO NOT order from this company - very very poor customer service and still my money has not been returned . Dreadful !!

Couldn't sleep so looked at Go Outdoors fishing gear. Found something I liked so ordered for collection from Canterbury all items showing in stock. Still couldn't sleep and thinking about more fishing gear which resulted in a second Go Outdoors order, all in stock. Next day had more fishing thoughts and placed another order for collection, again all showing in stock. In total had three orders with nine items all ready for me to pick up on my way to the lake after work. Lunchtime I get an email (3 emails) saying all my orders have been canceled due to inaccuracies in stock levels. Talking to friends who regularly shop at Go Outdoors this is quite normal. SORT YOUR LIFE OUT GO OUTDOORS

Saltney branch store employee takes pictures of children on his phone. Argument active when challenged and non of the other staff seem bothered apart from chatting and hanging out with their friends

Just wasted a load of my time at the go outdoors loughborough store. firstly when you drive into the car park at the rear you are greeted with a 15 foot high fence the top of which curls inward with razor wire wrapped around it. i dont know how important this camping gear theyve got its but it looks like colditz walking in. so i try on a bunch of jackets checking by style and price and eventually decide on one item. its priced clearly at £45 and i think 'ok its not amazing quality but its not too over priced at 45 quid" so i get to the counter (there are three staffed tills and one customer is being served while one other waits and i select the empty till), she rings it up and says "that will be £60 please"!!!!! it turns out that every single item in this store is priced with a special membership discount so none of the prices on the itmes are what you will actually pay unless you have the membership. so im thinking well ok maybe ill just get the membership and then i can have the discount since its unlikely that ill ever come back in here again anyway.... but nope, she says the membership costs £5 bascially go outdoors is a private members clubs masquerading as a regular retail store. save yourself some time and disappointment and just go straight to decathlon like eveyone else does!

I brought a 5kg bag of Boilies online to go fishing. When it arrived they only sent out 1kg. The weight on the delivery bag said 1kg. But the order number said 5kg so I paid £41 for 1kg. What a joke will never use this company ever again, stay away and buy from your local fishing shops. Customer service really bad and not helpful.

Absolute joke of a company!!! I was emailed and texted on Monday 14th March to conform my order was ready for collection. I went to collect it on Wednesday 16th March to wait for 10 minutes for them to wonder around their storeroom, rifle through a load of other parcels and then they call a second employee. Turns out they couldn't find the package that they had scanned in as delivered 2 days prior, they even tried to tell me it was delivered on Wednesday 9th march (which was the order date) and that it could have been returned for refund. I explained that that was not possibe and the package arrived Monday 14th. Very red faced, they called customer services who told them the same thing is was scanned as received on Monday 14th, she spoke to the second employee who said " Well I was working Monday, but not on deliveries so its not my problem". Then they informed me that "We've lost it, we can't find it" no apology no nothing. Absolutely shocking service, will never order or buy anything from them again.
