Don’t bother first box arrive damaged the second one didn’t arrive at all! Terrible customer service

First off the boxes, meals and recipes are all great. No faults The problem is delivery and customer service when things go wrong. After getting a few boxes and awaiting my 4th, I got a message to say it had been delivered through my letterbox. LOL Customer service looked into this and a day later came back saying it had been delivered to the wrong address and that it sound now have been delivered. (Not the case) their solution was a refund of the box (in way of voucher) enough compensation to by a single pudding. Oh and the delivery service was YODEL This same thing has now happened again, exactly the same to a friend of mine from the same town!

Bought it, items missing asked for refund was given credit instead worth £3 which is worthless and to top it off the meat had gone off 1 day after delivery.

Very dissapointed having a box arrive that I did not order and being charged £47 for. I am hugely dissapointed in this as I was hoping to order 1 off boxes but now I feel I have to cancel my whole account. I asked for a full refund due to not ordering the box and that 3 out of the 4 recipes they chose are not suitable for my family!! Really really dissapointed especially with the current situation and people not being able to afford luxuries like this! Seems very money grabbing at an unfortunate time.

First box was ace, good variety of recipes. However since then there has been items missing / damaged in every box. The last box recd the ice pack had completely leaked and spoiled all the contents of the box. Contacted gousto for refund of the full box £34.99 and they sent me £4. Quality has gone down hill fast and suspect that this is a result of huge demand. Disappointed with the overall service and quality of food. Originally signed up as thought it was good but now I can just as easily buy all the products cheaper in my local supermarket and get them delivered to my home. Think carefully before you sign up

I looked at the Gousto website to see prices for a family member, did not press check out yet 4 meals are being delivered to me today. Contacted customer support who did not help at all and told me I placed an order when I know I did not. Why auto checkout if you have food in your cart? I was just price checking and now it is going to go to waste. Also when I send further emails to them it just says "Sorry we did not receive your email"

Really, really gone down hill. Have been using for years yet the last few months I've had rotten chicken and missing items in the last three boxes. I was told I'd be given a meal for free. This never happened. I also was one of the people to have the mysterious box turn up, unordered !! I'm off to Hello Fresh.

Similar to other reviews, not ordered anything for months and out of the blue a charge on my account and a food box due for delivery. Seems like the feel they can do what they want, when they want and take your money for it.

I closed my account in 2019 as items where always missing and/or damaged, food goes out of date within a day of receiving order and overall poor service. Out of the blue I now have a box of food I didn't order being delivered tomorrow and they have taken payment, all of this has been done without my agreement and they have refused a refund. Emanuel customer service person I spoke to blamed me and covid-19 for this. HE said there was no errors then told me about the errors and just kept changing the story. I'm now having to go through my bank disputes team to get my money back. AVOID USING THIS COMPANY. If you call them get the ticket number for the call as they are recorded and the ticket number allows you to get a copy of the recording of your call. Dont email as they deny receipt of them.

Messed up all my orders. Ingredients missing, meat only in date by one or 2 days yet I have 4 ‘fresh’ meals to eat in 2 days. Offered £5 yet it would cost much more than this to replace. Not looking after loyal customers, taking in more than they can cope with and on top reducing the menus by half. Very disappointing and Not good.

I was a customer of Gousto before all this pandemic and was loyal to weekly orders. Yet it seems greed has taken over and they are tying to take on more and more customers even though they often (almost each order) miss items, send inadequate meat etc. Very disappointing. I am trying hello fresh next week now.

The meat sent to me yesterday had one days shelf life. The things are terrible, not only do they smell, they are little bits of chicken and not a complete thigh. I get these at least once a week and always the same as though they are off cuts rather than a full chicken thigh. Don’t look nice.

We have been loyal gousto customers for 2 years during which time we’ve received no rewards/discounts (which I know other recipe box customers get) but have been surprised to see that throughout the corona crisis we simply been unable to order any meals as priority has been given to new customers? This is not the way to reward loyalty Gousto and you need to get it sorted or you’ll be losing more customers than just us.

As a loyal customer of Gousto since they started trading who orders a box every week, they have decided to take on a huge number of new customers and dump their loyal ones with no delivery slots, well I hope your new customers will continue with you when this is all over !

My box arrived today without the full set of ingredients for ANY of the meals I ordered. They offered to credit my account with £5 but it’s going to cost more than that to replace the missing ingredients! That’s if I can find them at all! It’s obvious they are struggling to cope with the increased in demand. very disappointing

They offered to credit my account £5 but after looking into realised that it would cost more than this to replace the missing items! That of course is if I can get them at all. Looks very much like they can’t cope with the increase in demand (had a look at the previous reviews) so I wouldn’t recommend if to you need a reliable service because you are in isolation.

I have been using gousto for nearly two months, having recommended lots of people I was informed today that my account was out on pause which I did not do! And now I won’t be receiving any more boxes at this time with everything going on! Great the whole reason I signed up to this was because I’m heavily pregnant and I know I would always have healthy food in for my family! And now I don’t have anything, yet all the people I have recommended are enjoy there boxes I’m here with NOTHING! I must also say my last box I was also kind enough to delay my box by 2 days to help them out with this busy period! Not good customer service atal!!! I have also tried to sort this via email, live chat and phone!

Have been having two deliveries weekly for past 14 months. Yesterday they sent me an email thanking me for my loyalty. Today cannot order as they say my subscription was paused last year! Customer service not empathetic at all. Really on delivery because in that age group for self isolation

My box was stolen and the company refused to replace it, so I had no meals while being stuck self-isolating. Rude and inconsiderate
