“Very nice fit. Beautiful shoe . The leather is very subtle soft and smooth. They are really to the ground shoes that allow total control of the foot when walking. It's like driving a stick shift instead of an automatic. Highly recommended. Fine quality too.”

“Je suis cliente chez Groundies depuis longtemps , j'ai déjà une dizaine de paires de chaussures mais je ne suis pas très heureuse avec mes dernières commandes ... je ne sais pas si la fabrication a changé , mais je ne les trouve plus aussi confortables qu'avant . Je mets donc plus souvent mes anciennes paires et j'hésite à commander de nouvelles .”

“Amazing designs but I stopped buying after purchasing around 10 pairs in past years as the materials never last longer than 2 years for different reasons. Vegan leather surfaces break, soles cracked. I expect more for that price point than just initial prettiness.”

“Very narrow insole. Almost like a normal not barefoot shoe. I dont know if you narrowed it more, but the last model I had in 2021 felt much wider and more flexibl. I had that model it till I made a hole in my sole. These I dont even wear because they squish my feet from all sides and the sole is so not flexible. Not ordering Groundies again.”

“My red Amsterdam Groundies are my favorite shoes. I wear them whenever fitting. I also love the all-terrain boots, and my kids and I have a few others. They're well made, comfortable and very cool. I wish they'd bring back the red Amsterdams but there are others I want to try once these wear out!”

“The shoes are too narrow in the toes so I had to size up. I feel like they don’t fit correctly and my foot slides around. I feel like the narrow toe box defeats the purpose of buying barefoot shoes. I don’t recommend these unless you have narrow feet.”

We understand how important space for your toes is when choosing barefoot shoes, and how frustrating it is when that expectation isn’t met. Our models can differ in width and shape, so the fit can feel quite different depending on the design. Some styles are cut a bit closer, which works well for some feet but not for all. “I ordered the shoes in this review, but was disappointed in the lack of ground feel - I couldn’t do an exchange, but the return process was smooth, and I ordered a pair of Camdens, the original color of which I didn’t like, but I dyed them, and now I wear them all the time! Great ground feel, very comfortable right off the bar, both professional and casual, I love them!”

“I purchased White Groundies Active Knit Womens shoes size 39(8). I love them! I live in San Francisco and do alot of urban hikes and walk around a bit in general. They look nice with dresses, jeans, and active wear. I put thicker insoles in them since I am new to Barefoot shoes.”
