Groupon ratings are a joke. I bought a Voucher from Groupon, Had a horrible experience with the seller, who refused to honor the voucher. I was out the voucher money plus a deposit I had paid the seller for the service. I tried to leave a rating on the site and it was not possible as the seller hadn't redeemed my voucher. Only when the Merchant themselves redeem the voucher can you leave a rating. Therefore only the customers that have received good service leave ratings. These ratings CAN'T be trusted. P.S - Groupon replied to me completely ignoring their misleading rating system which is tricking customers by avoiding bad reviews and solely focusing on my bad experience with the merchant

I have no trust or business dealings with Groupon. Their refund policy is the worst. We bought train tickets for the Grand Canyon paid over $400 for them and due to road construction outside of our control could not make the train on time. Followed every rule to get a refund. The company that on the train indicated that they did not get any money from Groupon and told us they would recommend us for a refund, however, Groupon refused to give us the refund. That and to business is going belly up and getting nothing for purchasing an auto detail and another service product means I have lost more money than I have saved with Groupon I will never use them again And recommend others do the same. I’m only giving him one star because I can’t give them zero.

This was my first and most likely last transaction with Groupon. Received an email for $10 off my next Groupon purchase. Tried to buy 2 movie tickets for $17 dollars. Checkout said the coupon code wasn't valid. Looked at terms and conditions to see if I was doing something wrong. After finding nothing, I attempted to locate customer "svc". WTF? There is no easy way to get to customer support. When I FINALLY located it and started a chat session, the site disconnected me. I opened another session and the person told me that for the promotion to work, I need to purchase one item that is above $10, not just the order. Nowhere did it say this and the rep couldn't tell me where to find it. The email didn't state it; the terms didn't state that; only the rep stated that! Thanks for wasting my time!

I had an awful experience with customer service. They are extremely tight on dates and refunds. Why set such a short expiry time? Well this is clearly how they make their money as they don't expect half to collect their gift as they simply don't get chance to. Daylight robbery.

Bought a voucher from groupon for $49.99 to use at Wine Insider. I got the discount from the vendor, but groupon also charged my account for the $49.99. I ended up paying full price, for something I would not have purchased without the discount. Groupon is a complete scam!!! I will report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I bought a vacation from Groupon. It made it sound like one thing and when I tried to book it it became another. The airline that they tried to book me on is having financial troubles and on the verge of bankruptcy and they charge for bags over 22 lbs.... $100 per bag. My suitcase weighs 22 lbs. for 3 people that adds $300 to the cost of the vacation. They also charge for seat reservations and food.... this is a transatlantic flight. I told the tour operator I wanted to cancel, they told me I was eligible for a refund because we haven’t booked anything yet but I had to get a hold of Groupon for the refund. I contacted Groupon 1 week ago and they told me I would hear back within 2 days.... two days later I was told next Tuesday.... next Tuesday came and went now they are saying they don’t know when it will be done... It’s a rip off, don’t buy a trip through Groupon...

Got double charged the first charge supposedly got denied then the second one went through turns out the next day they did charge the 1st one and know they dont want to give us our money back already talk with my bank and groupon is really not trying to get me my refund back. Will never use groupon again.

Customer service is atrocious. Provide no help with poor performing merchants. Only interested in taking your money and refuse refund even when service has not been rendered and merchants not paid. Buyer beware patronize at your own risk

Don't buy from this company because they don't resolve your customer care issues. I purchased three Microsoft office programmes and had issues with two of the license keys. I contacted Microsoft and they informed me they were not legitimate keys. This is unresolved with groupon.

I order a hotel for two days the hotel was very nasty unclean nor safe. I contact the hotel manager asked her if I can get my refund she stated yes she sent my refund to the third party told me contact the third party for my refund. Now Groupon is giving me a fun around it’s another third party they have to talk to . On to of that I didn’t get the chance to enjoy anything. This is the worst experience I have ever had and will never order anything from Groupon or Thur Groupon. This website needs to do better falsely advertising. I recommend booking .com they are more helpful

Terrible! First place tried to give me a hand job. The second place, I can't even book an appointment. I've tried following Groupon instructions for customer support but they won't refund me!! Waste of time and money

Ordered a mattress topper when it came it looks thick and very good quality but it's awful, big scratchy feathers have been used so they pop through all over and scratch the living daylights out of you...absolutely rubbish

I placed an order and it shows I have my confirmation number and everything and then 2 hours later it tells me it's denied I tried to call Groupon but they don't never answer they just hang up on you it's a recording how can you order things from them if nobody talks to you this is the worst

Groupon decided to charge me for necklaces I did not purchase with my Groupon bucks! And not only did they decide to use my money on whatever they wanted but I also have a charge of $14 in my bank account from Groupon yeah when I go on Groupon to look to see what on Earth that $14 was it doesn't show so they stole my Groupon bucks and used it on necklaces I would never wear and it's close to Impossible to get someone to fix that I'm deleting Groupon all together they are a bunch of Thieves! And their customer service sucks

I purchased a massage for my wife through Groupon werepeatedly attempted to contact the telephone number provided, without success. Despite leaving messages & speaking to them once, when they promised to phone back & going to the address provided which was closed looking like a rented room. Contacted Groupon & as the voucher was by then out of date I didn’t expect a refund I did however expect some reassurance that they wouldn’t be used again, which I didn’t get. Do they check who & what they advertise or take their financial cut wash their hands of things leaving the customer to suffer? Beware

Hi I've bought couple times from groupon both bad experience latest I ordered radiator cover which was damaged unfit for purpose 33 pounds it cost I sent pictures throu email to them takes them days to reply only to be offered 6.00 and I get to keep it whot total RIP off dont buy from them customer service is horrendous

I purchased a trip. Then tried to cancel it. They keep giving me the run around about a refund. They keep telling me to purchase the hotel for a refund, but the hotel never charged my card. Groupon charged my card! They charged me $650! And now they're expecting me to just chalk it up. I would've used the trip that was purchased, but my fiancé became sick right before the trip date. It's not fair and they do not care. They take people's money, then make it ABSOLUTELY impossible to receive a refund. Hell, I didn't even technically want a refund. I was fine with putting my PAID $650 towards a different trip. I guess they think their customers have money to throw away for fun. SMH 😔 This is so frustrating and messed up. Save your money. Book through the actual companies sites. It will save you time and frustration in the end. 😔

i would like to report a scam situation with my purchase on groupon app. I purchased sunglasses through the groupon app that was marked (and is still marked) on groupon app as “Free Return”. I received an item that doesn’t really fit and would like to return it. When i purchased an item from my account on the app, it was clearly marked as “Free returns”. Customer support team stopped responding my emails clearly ignoring my requests. I had sent screenshot of the item listing page and actual purchase confirmation email that clearly show “Free return” - nothing works for this organization and they just disregarded and rudely ignored my requests. i just really want to want you guys to be aware of this fraudulent organization. Don’t believe their return policy promises - it won’t be honored. To prove my claims i am attaching screenshots of the product listing in attachments.

I purchased a Groupon for a massage, then went to schedule it. The merchant was basically some lady doing massages just herself, and she had VERY restrictive hours that did not match my availability. I can't just up and leave work or my child so I went to Groupon support and asked for a refund. They stuck to their default answer and refused to work with me to give me a refund even though it was obviously nothing I did wrong. Then a couple days later, on a second massage groupon I had purchased, the merchant called me and canceled my appointment saying she wouldn't honor my groupon because I had been there years ago. YEARS ago. I didn't remember or I wouldn't have purchased it again. Groupon AGAIN refused to work with me. It was a simple human mistake.
