“Can i give them no stars? My groupon to a play was cancelled because of the global pandemic. Groupon takes my money and refuses to give my money back. "We can offer you Groupon live bucks with the added bonus that they never expire" I'm sorry, what? How is that acceptable? So now I'm your bank? Because there is no way that the plays won't be refunding your money.
It's irresponsible, especially in a time of crisis like this, to be completely inflexible and unaccommodating in time where most corporations are understanding of the type of inconvenience that is going on everywhere at this time.

For all of those below, please get back in touch with Groupon if they have refused a refund for money - this is actually not allowed under your consumer rights! they HAVE To give you a FULL refund minus the shipping fee to the card the goods were purchased on.
They state this as this is what they are told to say by their management! it is wrong and breaches your rights!

“Groupon blames merchant to not refund. They refuse to attempt to help, they rather blame.
Order are taking weeks and if you try to cancel even before shipping, they will not refund you. They do weird charges to your account...authorize them total and then separate it, leaving a list of charges in your credit card account that doesn’t match the total or confirmation of order from Groupon.”

“Purchased a car wash, was the second one I purchased. And forgot about it as I'm busy with work. Recently remembered and think it should be all right as I haven't received any service they should be able to at least refund that to credit. Read some T/C and said during this covid19 (altho when it comes to my deal, I purely forgot about it, so the expiry has nothing to do with covid19 honestly), they are working to help customers refund the expired vouchers into credit. But when I contacted the online customer support, get a simply answer, no, sorry, it can't be refunded. yes, I'm sure, sorry about it.

“Horrific company. Took my money and told me order would be within 7 days. Ordered 4 items and 1 turned up. I had to source the other 3 elsewhere as I needed them in the time promised and when I asked for a refund I am still having to argue with them as they say it's not their fault. They are so quick to take your money and advertise high stock levels and delivery available, as soon as you've spent the money they reject any responsibility even if like me you're waiting over a month for a product you needed in the time advertised.
They'll feed you a load of rubbish about deliveries affected by COVID 19 which I appreciate, but the at least appreciate that the customer might want a refund on the service you have failed to provide

“I honestly expected so much more from groupon. I have been using this site for years with no issues. I have made returns in the past agian with no issue. However, i made a purchase on groupon goods almost a month ago and have not recieved the item dispite my credit card being charged for the purchase.
I reached out for assistance and was given a code to give the merchant that groupon used to locate my order. The code was incorrect. I have tried several times to try so resolve this issue. Today i contacted a customer service provider and they were completely condescending and getting " the correct code " to send to merchant to get this resolved was like pulling teeth. I was repeatedly told that they could not help me further before i pressed the issue and only then was i given a different code. Now it seems i cannot access the merchant to resolve this. Also groupon appears on my statement so maybe im ignorant on how this works, but it seems they are flat out refusing to assist me in getting a refund. I haven't even received so much as an apology. I guess groupon is not above scamming people out of their money as it seems they are just hoping i give up and move on.”

“Tried unsubscribing from all emails, yet the “unsubscribe from all emails” link was underneath the save button, so all I could do was unsubscribe from “occasions” emails. When this took me to another page, there was an option to unsubscribe from al emails, however, nothing happened when I tapped on the button, and I got no confirmation. Any business that does not allow a customer to unsubscribe from emails is off my list of businesses I deal with. Groupon has gone downhill.”

“I’m only giving 1 star because that’s the lowest I can give.
I ordered an item before the lockdown. They haven’t been able to deliver but took my money.
Now when I phoned up to cancel the order which only showed’ order placed’ I’m told my refund will be in groupon credit and it doesn’t state that in the fine print or return policy.
This is a new thing that they’re doing I expect my money back on my card.
The customer service was rude so I made a formal complaint.
I will not order from these people again and I would advise anyone to do the same.
